Best IPL & Hair Removal Salons in Singapore (2026) — 7 Chains Compared, With Every Trial Price We Could Verify

Hair removal is one of the few beauty categories in Singapore where the advertised price and the price you actually pay can differ by a factor of five — the trial rate is real, but it usually applies once, to one body part, for first-timers only, and the maintenance price afterwards is the number that decides whether the whole thing was worth it. So we did the boring part: we read the actual price lists on all seven chains' own websites on 27 July 2026, pulled Strip's live product catalogue straight off its store, and cross-checked every outlet address against each brand's own store locator rather than trusting the aggregator listicles (which, among other things, still list Only Aesthetics as having six branches when its own site shows four, and still call MODE Aesthetics by its old Lush Aesthetics name). What comes out is a fairly clear map. If you want unlimited sessions on a monthly plan, Wellaholic is the only one publishing full plan pricing with GST included. If you want the cheapest legitimate first try, Strip's AFT trials start at S$35 for a lip and S$40 for underarms, and its waxing trials start at S$18. If you want the biggest headline discount, Musee's S$50 six-part Mix and Match combo is the loudest offer running — with the caveat that it is a Japanese S.S.C. gel method, women only, and new customers only. If you want a one-and-done package that runs for a year, Only Aesthetics sells 12 months of unlimited underarm IPL for S$218. If you want the cheapest per-session laser maths of the lot, MODE Aesthetics does 12 SHR underarm sessions for S$88 plus GST. If you hate wax and lasers both, Sugar(ed) is the only dedicated sugaring studio here. And if you just want a straightforward wax at a walk-in price, Pink Parlour charges S$21 for underarms. Here is every price, every outlet, and the fine print that decides which one is actually cheap for you.

Hair removal is one of the few beauty categories in Singapore where the number on the poster and the number you end up paying can differ by a factor of five. The trial rate is real — but it usually applies once, to one body part, for first-timers only, and it is the maintenance price afterwards that decides whether the whole exercise was worth it.

So we read the actual price lists on all seven chains' own websites on 27 July 2026, pulled Strip's live product catalogue directly from its store, and checked every outlet address against each brand's own store locator rather than the aggregator roundups — which, among other things, still credit Only Aesthetics with six branches when its own site lists four, and still call MODE Aesthetics by its old name, Lush Aesthetics.

The three methods, in one paragraph

IPL (intense pulsed light) fires broad-spectrum light in single high-energy pulses. SHR (super hair removal) is the newer diode-laser approach: many low-energy pulses in quick succession with contact cooling, generally more comfortable and better suited to Asian skin tones. S.S.C., which is what Musee uses, is a gel-plus-filtered-light method rather than a laser at all. And then there is waxing and sugaring, which remove hair rather than target the follicle — cheaper each time, but they never stop costing.

The practical consequence: light-based treatments need roughly 6 to 12 sessions spaced several weeks apart before hair thins meaningfully. That is why a trial price tells you almost nothing. Judge a salon on its 6- or 12-session price.

Who is actually cheapest, by what you want

  • Cheapest way to test laser once: Strip's AFT trials — S$35 for a lip, S$40 for underarms or inner thighs, S$50 for a basic Brazilian (female rates).
  • Cheapest full course: MODE Aesthetics — 12 SHR underarm sessions for S$88 + 9% GST, about S$8 a session.
  • Cheapest year of not thinking about it: Only Aesthetics — S$218 for 12 months of unlimited underarm IPL.
  • Cheapest single visit of any kind: Pink Parlour — S$21 for an underarm wax.
  • Best if you want the real total before you walk in: Wellaholic, the only chain here publishing every plan price inclusive of GST.

Three things worth knowing before you book

  1. Shave one to two days before a light-based session. Turning up unshaved is the most common reason an appointment gets cut short.
  2. Trial rates are audited. Strip states outright that it reserves the right to check your treatment history and reject ineligible customers, and its trial sessions expire three months from purchase.
  3. Check the expiry on session packs. MODE's 12-session packages must be used within 12 months of your first visit, which is achievable on a monthly cycle but leaves little slack for travel or illness.

Strip: Ministry of Waxing — The Widest Reach (14 Outlets) and the Cheapest Honest Way to Test Laser

Singapore's original total-concept waxing studio, open since 2002, and still the one with the most outlets by a wide margin: 14 across the island — Wheelock Place, Great World, ION Orchard, Mandarin Gallery, Paragon, Parkway Parade, Plaza Singapura, Raffles City, Westgate, Holland Village, VivoCity, Tampines One, Northpoint City and Pasir Ris Mall. It runs two hair-removal tracks. WAXING: underarms S$30 female / S$38 male; Brazilian Basic S$30 / S$38; Brazilian Extra S$51 / S$60; Brazilian All-Off S$84 / S$99. AFT LASER: this is Strip's IPL-family option, and the trial pricing is the most generous entry point in this roundup because it is itemised rather than bundled. Female trial rates: lip S$35, underarms S$40, inner thighs S$40, half arms S$80, half legs S$80, Brazilian Basic S$50, Brazilian Extra or All-Off S$70, full arms or full back S$149.99, full legs S$160. Male trials run higher — underarms S$50, Brazilian Basic S$70, chest and stomach S$165. For comparison, the standard non-trial AFT single-session rate for female underarms is S$80 and Brazilian All-Off is S$325, so the trial genuinely is around half price or better. THE FINE PRINT THAT MATTERS: Strip states trial rates apply only to people new to that specific treatment and that it reserves the right to check your history; treatments are valid for 3 months from purchase; trials cannot be combined with other promotions; and all purchases are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. ONGOING OFFERS: 15% off any 3 AFT single sessions, and an Off-Peak Pleasures menu for weekday daytime bookings that brings AFT underarms down to S$56 a session in a 3-session pack (S$168) and small-area waxing to about S$11 a session in a 10-session pack (S$110). BEST FOR: anyone who wants a physical outlet near home or work, and anyone who wants to try laser on one small area before committing to a package.

First-time trials from S$18 (waxing) and S$35 (AFT laser lip) with savings up to 78% — female AFT trials: underarms S$40, inner thighs S$40, Brazilian Basic S$50, half legs S$80. Plus 15% off any 3 AFT single sessions, and Off-Peak Pleasures packs from S$56/session AFT underarms. Trials are for customers new to that treatment; sessions valid 3 months from purchase

Musee Platinum Tokyo — S$50 for Six Parts, the Loudest Discount in the Category (Women Only)

The Japanese chain that made cheap hair-removal trials a mass-market habit in Singapore, with 6 outlets: The Centrepoint, Plaza Singapura, Bugis+, Westgate, Tampines 1 and Velocity @ Novena Square. Musee does not use conventional IPL or laser — its method is S.S.C., short for Smooth Skin Control, which applies a proprietary gel that is then activated by filtered light. It is marketed as gentler and lower-heat than laser, and sessions are short; the flipside is that it is a women-only service, and the first appointment is a roughly 15-minute consultation, with the actual first treatment booked separately after that. THE CURRENT OFFER, verified on Musee's own online shop: the Mid-Year Saver S$50 Mix and Match six-part S.S.C. hair removal package, against a usual price of S$270 — you pick 6 parts from a menu of more than 20, including underarm, upper lip, chin, bikini line, upper triangle and lower triangle. New customers only. There are also three single-part starters at S$20 for 2 sessions each, against a usual price of S$150: upper lip, bikini line and underarm. Musee lists no end date on these, but campaign banners are dated and change, so treat the price as current-at-time-of-writing rather than permanent. WHAT TO WATCH: the well-known catch with this category of ultra-cheap trial is the upsell conversation at the end of the session — go in knowing what your maintenance budget actually is, and note that Musee's headline packages are sold through its online store, so you can buy at the listed price before you set foot in the salon. BEST FOR: women who want to cover several small areas at once for the price of one session elsewhere.

S$50 Mix and Match — 6-part S.S.C. hair removal package, usual price S$270, new customers only, choose 6 from 20+ parts (underarm, upper lip, chin, bikini line, upper triangle, lower triangle). Also S$20 for 2 sessions of upper lip, bikini line or underarm, usual price S$150 each. Women only

MODE Aesthetics — 12 SHR Underarm Sessions for S$88 + GST, the Cheapest Per-Session Maths Here

Formerly Lush Aesthetics, rebranded to MODE Aesthetics and MODE Medical Clinic, so if you are searching under the old name you are looking at the same group. Four outlets: The Centrepoint (176 Orchard Rd, #03-33), Bedok Mall (311 New Upper Changi Rd, #B2-37), HarbourFront Centre (1 Maritime Square, #02-65) and Jem Jurong East (50 Jurong Gateway Rd, #04-19). Its hair removal is SHR — Super Hair Removal — which fires low-fluence laser pulses at high repetition with contact cooling, rather than the single high-energy pulses of older IPL, and is generally the more comfortable option on Asian skin tones. THE NUMBERS, taken from MODE's own promo page: 12 sessions of underarms for S$88 + 9% GST nett; 12 sessions of any small or large area for S$128 + 9% GST nett; and 12 sessions of Brazilian, also S$128 + 9% GST nett. Small areas are defined as upper lip, lower chin, fingers and toes; large areas as lower legs (both), thighs (both), tummy, half back, chest, stomach, half arms (both) and facial hair. On the underarm package that works out to roughly S$8 a session, which is the lowest per-session figure in this comparison by a distance. TERMS: valid only for first-time customers aged 21 and above, one redemption per person, not valid for tourists, appointment required, and the 12 sessions must be used within 12 months of your first visit — that last one matters, because SHR courses are normally spaced several weeks apart and 12 sessions in 12 months is achievable but leaves little slack. BEST FOR: committed first-timers who want a full course rather than a taster, and who can realistically get to an outlet monthly for a year.

SHR Super Laser: 12 sessions underarms at S$88 + 9% GST nett; 12 sessions of any small or large area at S$128 + 9% GST; 12 sessions Brazilian at S$128 + 9% GST. First-time customers aged 21+, one redemption per person, not valid for tourists, 12 sessions to be used within 12 months of first visit

Only Aesthetics — S$218 Buys a Full Year of Unlimited Underarm IPL

A four-outlet chain that structures its hair removal as year-long unlimited programs rather than session packs, which changes the maths entirely: you are not counting sessions, you are counting months. Outlets and hours, from its own locations page: Wheelock Place #05-08 (6235 4434), Dhoby Ghaut at 9 Penang Road #01-03/04 (6338 4434) and Raffles Place at 22 Malacca Street, RB Capital Building #09-00 (6220 4434) all run Mon-Fri 10am-8pm and Sat 10am-6pm, closed Sundays; Holland Village at 25A Lorong Mambong (6314 4434) runs half an hour later, Mon-Fri 10.30am-8.30pm and Sat 10.30am-6.30pm. Note the aggregator listicles still claim six branches including Orchard and Scotts Road — Only Aesthetics' own site lists four, so plan around four. THE PACKAGES, from its best-selling promotions page: IPL Underarms, 1 year unlimited, S$218, pitched as hair-free underarms in about five minutes a month, and it throws in a complimentary IPL navel or butt crack session. IPL Brazilian and Underarms, 1 year unlimited, S$759 — the Brazilian program alone is S$680 and the year of underarms is added free. There is also AUREOLED Underarms at S$152 for a single session, with a complimentary upper-lip session, if you want the newer diode-style treatment rather than IPL. All promotional rates are first-time-customer, one-time purchases, and treatment is 18+. PRACTICAL NOTE: shave the area one to two days before each appointment — turning up unshaved is the most common reason a session gets cut short. BEST FOR: people who want underarms handled and forgotten about for a year, at a price that beats buying sessions individually almost anywhere else.

IPL Underarms 1 year unlimited S$218 with a complimentary IPL navel or butt crack session; IPL Brazilian + Underarms 1 year unlimited S$759 (Brazilian program S$680 with the year of underarms free); AUREOLED Underarms S$152 for 1 session with a complimentary upper lip. A four-outlet SHR specialist and the most price-transparent operator in this roundup — every figure below is published on its own site inclusive of 9% GST, with no hidden add-ons, which is genuinely unusual in this category. Outlets, all MRT-linked: Somerset (3 minutes from Somerset MRT Exit B, 8963 1838), Tanjong Pagar on Telok Ayer Street (8499 8984), Kovan on Hougang Street 21 (8963 8060) and Upper Changi, which is literally inside Upper Changi MRT station (9239 5823). Hours are 11am-10pm on weekdays and 11am-8pm on weekends and public holidays — the late weekday close is the useful bit if you are booking after work. PER-SESSION PRICING: small areas such as underarms or upper lip are S$69 for a single session, falling to S$55 at the 12-session tier (S$660 for 12); large areas such as arms, legs or back are S$99 falling to S$79 (S$948 for 12); Brazilian and Boyzilian are S$189 falling to S$151 (S$1,812 for 12). Volume discounts step at 3 sessions (5% off), 6 sessions (10%) and 12 sessions (20%). UNLIMITED PLANS: SHR Deluxe Unlimited is S$223 a month and SHR Prestige Unlimited is S$271 a month. There is also an SHR Underarms Lifetime one-off at S$399, or S$699 bundled with skin whitening. THE PROMO: Afternoon Advantage takes 20% off 6-month and 12-month unlimited plans when you book Monday to Friday between 11am and 5pm, which drops Deluxe to S$178 and Prestige to S$217 a month. It excludes public holidays, 1-month plans, per-session pricing and personal-area treatments. BEST FOR: people who want to know the real total before they walk in, and shift workers or anyone who can genuinely book weekday afternoons — the 20% is the largest structural discount here that is not a one-time first-timer rate.

Afternoon Advantage — 20% off 6-month and 12-month unlimited plans booked Mon-Fri 11am-5pm (SHR Deluxe Unlimited S$223/month drops to S$178; SHR Prestige Unlimited S$271 drops to S$217). Excludes public holidays, 1-month plans, per-session pricing and personal-area treatments. Volume discounts otherwise: 5% at 3 sessions, 10% at 6, 20% at 12. All prices include 9% GST

Sugar(ed) — Singapore's Dedicated Sugaring Studio, and a Free Mud Treatment on Your First Brazilian

The outlier on this list, and deliberately so: Sugar(ed) does not do IPL, SHR or laser at all. It does body sugaring, an all-natural paste method that is applied at body temperature and removed in the direction of hair growth, unlike wax which is applied hot and pulled against the growth. In practice that means less risk of burns, no strips, and a paste that rinses off with water — which is why it tends to suit sensitive skin and very fine or very short hair better than wax does. Four outlets, all with the same hours (Mon-Fri 11am-8pm, Sat-Sun 10am-6pm): Bukit Timah at 733 Bukit Timah Road #02-02 in Second Avenue Junction; Katong at 79 East Coast Road #01-01, opposite Roxy Square; Downtown at 37B Circular Road; and Upper Thomson at 225A Upper Thomson Road. PRICES from its own service menu: Brazilian or Manzilian S$78 female / S$98 male on the standard rate, dropping to S$68 / S$88 on the maintenance rate once you are on a regular cycle; underarms S$30 / S$38; full legs S$108 female; full back S$55-75 female; eyebrows S$30; upper plus lower lip S$18 female; full face S$70-90 female. THE PERK: first-time Brazilian and Manzilian clients get a complimentary Hungarian mineral mud treatment included with the service — a soothing post-treatment step rather than a discount, but a real one. THE HONEST TRADE-OFF: sugaring is a permanent running cost, not a course with an end. Every 4-6 weeks, forever. If your goal is to stop paying eventually, one of the SHR or IPL options above is the better long game. BEST FOR: sensitive skin, people who react badly to hot wax, and anyone who simply prefers not to have lasers pointed at them.

First-time Brazilian and Manzilian clients get a complimentary Hungarian Mineral Mud treatment with the service. Brazilian S$78 female / S$98 male standard, S$68 / S$88 maintenance; underarms S$30 / S$38; upper + lower lip S$18 female; eyebrows S$30

Pink Parlour — S$21 Underarm Wax, and 50% Off Your First Treatment for Signing Up to the Newsletter

One of Singapore's best-known waxing names, running since 2005, now down to two Singapore outlets — Heartland Mall Kovan and Centrepoint Premium — with the wider brand still operating in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Hours at both: Monday to Saturday 11.15am-9pm, Sunday 11.15am-7pm. Contact is by WhatsApp on 8065 0454. Its selling point is flat, published, outlet-independent pricing: the same treatment costs the same at every branch, which removes the usual guesswork about whether the Orchard branch is quietly dearer. WAXING PRICES from its own menu: underarms S$21 for a 15-minute slot — the cheapest single hair-removal service in this entire roundup; bikini S$36 female (15-20 min); Brazilian S$64 female (25 min); the Boyfriend's Brazilian S$74 male (40 min); full legs S$56 (30 min); full back S$56 (25 min). IPL AND SHR PRICES: women's Brazilian S$300, men's Brazilian S$360, women's full leg S$306, classic areas for women S$75-95, mini areas for women S$39. THE OFFER: 50% off your first treatment when you join the newsletter — applied to the first treatment, so it is worth pointing it at a larger service rather than burning it on the S$21 underarms. HOW IT COMPARES: on waxing it is the cheapest per-visit option here; on IPL it is priced per area rather than per session or per plan, so read those numbers as a course price and compare them against MODE's 12-session packages before deciding. BEST FOR: quick, cheap, no-package walk-in waxing, especially for anyone in the north-east who does not want to trek to Orchard.

50% off your first treatment when you join the Pink Parlour newsletter. Flat pricing across both outlets: underarm wax S$21, bikini S$36, Brazilian S$64 female / S$74 male, full legs S$56, full back S$56. IPL/SHR: women's Brazilian S$300, women's full leg S$306, mini areas S$39

Frequently Asked Questions

How many IPL or SHR sessions do I actually need before the hair stops growing back?

Plan for 6 to 12 sessions spaced several weeks apart, then occasional top-ups. Light-based treatments only affect follicles in the active growth phase, and at any moment only a fraction of your hair is in that phase — which is why the sessions have to be spread out and why a single trial session tells you very little about the eventual result. This is the single most important reason to compare salons on their 6- or 12-session price rather than their trial price. MODE Aesthetics sells 12 underarm sessions for S$88 + 9% GST; Wellaholic's 12-session small-area tier is S$660 including GST; Only Aesthetics sidesteps session counting entirely with a S$218 year of unlimited underarms.

Are the S$20 to S$50 trial prices real, or is it a bait-and-switch?

The prices themselves are real and you can usually buy them online before you set foot in the salon — Musee's S$50 six-part Mix and Match and its S$20 two-session single parts are sold through its own online shop, and Strip's AFT and waxing trials are listed as ordinary products in its store. The catch is not the price, it is the eligibility and the follow-up. Trial rates apply only to customers new to that specific treatment, and Strip explicitly reserves the right to verify your history and reject ineligible customers. Expect a package conversation at the end of the session; decide your maintenance budget before you go in, not on the treatment bed.

IPL, SHR, laser, S.S.C. — what is the actual difference?

IPL uses broad-spectrum light in single high-energy pulses and is the oldest of the group. SHR is a diode laser technique that fires many low-fluence pulses in rapid succession with contact cooling — most professional chains in Singapore have moved to it because it is more comfortable and generally safer across darker skin tones. Marketing names like Strip's AFT and MODE's Super Laser sit within this family. S.S.C., which is Musee's method, is not a laser at all: it applies a proprietary gel that is then activated by filtered light. Waxing and sugaring are different in kind — they pull hair out rather than treat the follicle, so results last weeks, not years.

Is sugaring better than waxing, and is it worth paying more for?

Sugaring paste is applied at body temperature and removed in the direction of hair growth, whereas wax is applied hot and pulled against the growth. That means less burn risk, no strips, and residue that rinses off with water, so it tends to suit sensitive skin and very fine or short hair better. Whether it is worth more depends on the salon: at Sugar(ed), a Brazilian is S$78 female and S$98 male against Pink Parlour's S$64 and S$74 for wax, so you are paying roughly a S$14 to S$24 premium per visit. Both are recurring costs with no end point — if your goal is to eventually stop paying, an SHR or IPL course is the better long game.

Do any of these salons treat men?

Most do, at higher rates, and one does not. Musee Platinum Tokyo is women-only. Everywhere else publishes male pricing: Strip charges S$38 for a male underarm wax against S$30 female, S$50 for a male AFT underarm trial against S$40, and S$70 for a male basic Brazilian trial against S$50. Sugar(ed) charges S$98 for a Manzilian against S$78 for a Brazilian, and S$38 for male underarms against S$30. Pink Parlour's Boyfriend's Brazilian is S$74 against S$64 for the female version, and its men's IPL Brazilian is S$360 against S$300. Only Aesthetics and Wellaholic both treat men, and Only Aesthetics lists a Boyzilian program alongside its female packages.
