A good electric toothbrush costs S$70 to S$140 in Singapore, and the same Oral-B or Philips can be S$100 cheaper at Best Denki or Gain City than on the brand's own site. We read every price on 28 September 2026, including Dyson's new S$699 CameraJet.

Most people only need a S$70-S$140 brush, and the brand's own site is rarely the cheapest place to buy one.

> Quick view: best overall is the Oral-B iO3 at S$109 (Best Denki); cheapest decent sonic is ZenyumSonic 2.0 at S$71.90 until 1 Oct; the catch is brush heads, which cost S$16-S$45 per refill pack.

Oral-B iO3: the best overall, S$109 at Best Denki

Oral-B's iO line uses a small round head that oscillates and micro-vibrates, and the iO3 is the cheapest model with the features that matter: a pressure sensor that lights up when you press too hard, a 2-minute timer, a brush-head change alert and 3 cleaning modes. Best Denki sells the iO3 at S$109 (was S$199), the lowest price we found; Gain City has it at S$139 and the iO2 at S$119. Moving up, the iO5 is S$259 at both stores, but the gaps widen further up the range: the iO6 is S$249 at Best Denki against S$379 at Gain City, and the iO9 S$399 against S$479. Replacement iO heads are S$40.90 for two at Best Denki, so budget roughly S$80 a year for heads. Oral-B's Singapore site does not sell direct, so buy from a retailer.

Philips Sonicare 6100: best for sensitive gums, S$219

Philips Sonicare brushes use a longer, manual-style head that vibrates side to side instead of spinning, which many people with sensitive teeth or receding gums find gentler. The Sonicare Series 6100 (HX7401/09) is the sweet spot at S$219 on philips.com.sg: a visual pressure sensor, 2 brush modes and 3 intensities, with Philips' 2-year warranty and 7-day return. Best Denki sells the older ProtectiveClean 6100 (HX6877) at S$199 (was S$279), with Clean, Gum Care and White modes. Brush heads are the running cost: a 2-pack of Philips heads (HX9052) is S$45 at Best Denki.

Dyson CameraJet: the newest, S$699

Dyson's first toothbrush went on sale in Singapore in September 2026 at S$699. The CameraJet has a macro camera in the head that spots gaps between teeth and fires a jet of mouthrinse into them as you brush, so it is a brush and a flosser in one. The dock refills its 12.5ml mouthrinse tank, and the box includes two brush heads. It comes in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink, and Gain City sells it at the same S$699. Dyson's store offers free next-day delivery, 4 interest-free monthly payments of S$174.75 with Grab PayLater and a 14-day free return, which is worth using at this price. It is a gadget for people who hate flossing; if you already floss, the Oral-B iO3 at S$109 does the brushing part for a sixth of the price.

How we picked and priced these

We read every price on 28 September 2026 from the brands' own Singapore stores (Philips, Zenyum, Laifen and Dyson) and from the electric-toothbrush ranges at Best Denki and Gain City. Oral-B's Singapore site does not sell direct, so its prices are the retailers'. Xiaomi and Oclean are left out because neither sells electric toothbrushes through an official Singapore store we could verify.

How to choose an electric toothbrush

  • Round head or sonic: Oral-B's small round heads oscillate tooth by tooth; Philips, Zenyum and Laifen use a longer sonic head that vibrates. Both clean well. Sonic heads feel gentler on sensitive gums; round heads reach behind back molars more easily.
  • Pressure sensor: the one feature worth paying for. Brushing too hard wears gums down, and a light that warns you fixes the habit. The Oral-B iO3 (S$109) and Philips 3100 (S$65) are the cheapest brushes here that have one.
  • Heads are the real cost: plan on a new head every three months. That is about S$21 a year for Laifen, S$26 for Zenyum at sale prices, S$80 for Oral-B iO and up to S$90 for Philips premium heads.
  • Check the retailer before the brand store: the same Philips Prestige 9900 is S$399 at Gain City and Best Denki against S$499 on philips.com.sg, and Oral-B's iO6 is S$249 at Best Denki against S$379 at Gain City.
  • Skip app features you will not use: SenseIQ and brushing maps are nice, but a 2-minute timer and pressure sensor do most of the work.
