Singapore has no shortage of "Invisalign from $X" headlines. What it has a shortage of is quotes you can actually compare.
We pulled the published fee pages of six aligner providers on 8 August 2026 and found the same problem the LASIK market has: the numbers are printed on different bases. kohe Dental absorbs the 9% GST if you pay upfront. True Dental Studio quotes nett with GST already inside. Dentalis and Nuffield publish before-tax figures. And Zenyum quotes a price that covers the aligners and nothing else — the consultation, the scaling, the refinement scans and the retainers are all billed separately by the clinic.
Put on the same footing, the ranking changes. Zenyum's S$2,790 looks like the cheapest branded course in Singapore until you add the S$150-S$200 consultation, S$80-S$130 scaling and S$410-S$760 retainers its own page tells you to expect — at which point kohe's S$2,800 Invisalign Mild, GST absorbed, is the better buy.
The three questions that decide your bill
1. Is GST in or out? Nine per cent on a S$7,000 case is S$630. Add roughly 9% to every before-tax quote before you compare it with a nett one.
2. Are refinements included? Almost every case needs at least one round of extra aligners at the end. Dentalis states in writing that refinements are included in its Moderate and Comprehensive tiers. Zenyum gives you the refinement aligners free within your treatment expiry period but the clinic bills S$100 for each refinement scan. Most other clinics do not say, which means you have to ask.
3. What do retainers cost? This is the one that catches people, because it arrives at the end when you have stopped comparing prices. Published retainer costs on this page: kohe S$215-S$720 depending on type, Zenyum S$410 for two sets to S$760 for five, and Dentalis S$600 for one set of Vivera or S$890 for three — included only if you are on its Moderate or Comprehensive tier. Teeth relapse without retainers, so this is not an optional line item.
The public route, and why it is not the cheap one
For most medical procedures in Singapore, the public hospital is the budget option. Orthodontics is the exception. Orthodontic treatment is classified as elective, so neither MediSave nor CHAS subsidises braces or aligners, and there is no government subsidy for orthodontic treatment at public dental institutions either.
The one exception worth asking about is the National Dental Centre Singapore's orthodontic residency programme — patients with suitable indications who are referred in may be treated at lower cost, with treatment carried out by residents under supervision. For reference, NDCS charges $33-$78 for a subsidised first consultation and $142-$186 for a private one, plus a $17-$18 sterile supplies fee, with treatment and X-rays billed separately. A referral letter dated before your consultation is required for subsidised rates.
Where the cheap consultations are
If you are still comparing, do not pay $195 to find out your case is moderate. The published first-visit fees on this page range from $27.25 at True Dental Studio to $195 at Smilepoint, an eightfold spread for what is broadly the same scan-and-assess appointment:
- True Dental Studio — $27.25-$65.40 nett
- Nuffield Dental — $54.50-$87.20 (before GST)
- Dentalis — S$80, including an iTero Lumina Pro scan
- kohe Dental — S$90 (S$98.10 with GST), free for students, including 3D scans, X-rays and 3D facial scans
- Zenyum — S$150-S$200, paid to the partner clinic
- Smilepoint — $195 for new patients
