Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Thursday 25 September 2026, and Swensen's mochi-snowskin ice cream mooncakes are back — with a new-improved skin, eight flavours, and an early bird that is not quite the deal the reposts describe.
> Quick view: 8 flavours · four-piece sets $52.50–$60 on the eStore (GST in) · Citi early bird 15% off 10 Aug–13 Sep, then 10% off 14–25 Sep · in-store only, so the eStore pre-order does not get it · Create Your Own costs $7.50 MORE than a preset set.
The 2026 flavour line-up
Eight, per Swensen's current mooncake page and the eStore's own flavour picker:
- Mao Shan Wang — made with 100% highest-grade MSW puree
- Durian King (D24)
- Sticky Chewy Chocolate — the house icon
- Sticky Chewy Chocolate Zer0 — no sugar added, 40% fewer kcal
- Cookies 'N' Cream
- Dubai Cookie — NEW: pistachio ice cream with kataifi and a dusting of cocoa
- Strawberry Mochi — strawberry ice cream with real strawberry bits and mochi pieces
- Oriental Beauty Oolong — floral, honeyed premium oolong
What the sets cost — and the Create Your Own trap
Every set is four pieces, and Swensen's says prices are inclusive of GST:
| Set | Contents | Price | Per piece |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moonlit | Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Cookies 'N' Cream, Oriental Beauty Oolong, Dubai Cookie | $52.50 | $13.13 |
| Signature | Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Cookies 'N' Cream, Durian King (D24), Dubai Cookie | $52.50 | $13.13 |
| Full Eclipse | 4x Sticky Chewy Chocolate Zer0 | $54.00 | $13.50 |
| Twilight | Mao Shan Wang, Dubai Cookie, Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Cookies 'N' Cream | $55.00 | $13.75 |
| New Moon | 4x Mao Shan Wang | $60.00 | $15.00 |
| Create Your Own (Pick 4) | any four of the eight | $60.00 | $15.00 |
Read that last row twice. Choosing your own four flavours costs $60 — $7.50 more than the $52.50 preset sets, and exactly the same as the all-Mao-Shan-Wang New Moon Set. Swensen's is charging a premium for the freedom to pick, so unless you want four durians or a combination the preset boxes genuinely do not offer, a preset set is the cheaper buy. The Signature and Moonlit boxes already cover six of the eight flavours between them.
The early bird is a Citi card offer — and it is in-store only
The "up to 15% off" doing the rounds is the Citi x Swensen's Ice Cream Mooncake Promo, and Citi publishes it in full:
- 15% off from 10 August to 13 September 2026 — the early-bird tier.
- 10% off from 14 to 25 September 2026 — the run-in to Mid-Autumn itself.
- Payment must be charged to a Citi credit card or Citibank debit card.
- Valid at all Swensen's and Earle Swensen's outlets — 27 are listed, from AMK Hub, Bedok Mall and Bugis Junction to Changi Airport Terminal 3 — but excluding Swensen's Unlimited.
- In-store purchase only.
- Not valid with other promotions, vouchers or discounts in the same bill or table.
Point 5 is the one that costs people money. The natural way to buy mooncakes is to pre-order on the eStore, pick a collection outlet and a date, and walk in — and that route forfeits the 15%. Swensen's own product pages say it plainly: *bank promotions are only valid in-store*. Point 6 matters too: it means the Citi discount will not sit on the same bill as a member discount, so you pick one lane, not both.
If in-store prices match the eStore's — Swensen's publishes no separate in-store price list, so treat this as an estimate — 15% would take a $52.50 set to about $44.63 and the $60 sets to $51.
The eStore route, and the member discount Swensen's won't quantify
Pre-ordering on shop.swensens.com.sg gets you outlet-and-date collection or home delivery (the earliest collection or delivery date this season was 10 August 2026). At checkout there is a Swensen's Member Early Bird discount: select Cool Rewards member and key in the last four digits of your member ID.
What it is worth, Swensen's does not say — not on the mooncake page, not on any of the six product pages. You find out at checkout. Cool Rewards itself is free for life, open from age 13, and you sign up through Swensen's Telegram chatbot; the standing perks are a complimentary daily drink eVoucher when dining in, Rebate$, and 20% off birthday cakes plus a free Firehouse sundae in your birthday month.
Three pages to ignore
- Swensen's own older mooncake page is still live and still lists Pistachio Kunafa (chocolate snowskin) and Chempedak with Crumble — five flavours, every image dated July 2025. Neither is in the 2026 line-up or the eStore's flavour picker. The current page is the one the site's Promotions menu links to.
- DBS's Swensen's mooncake promo page now redirects — with an error flag in the URL — to the generic DBS promotions page and then the personal-banking homepage. There is no live DBS mooncake offer behind that link.
- SAFRA's Swensen's Mid-Autumn page returns a 404.
Serving
Take them out of the freezer 15 to 20 minutes before serving (the Twilight Set's own note says 15 to 25) — straight from the freezer, mochi skin is a workout.
