Singapore Airlines' DBS50OFF Reopens Tomorrow (11–17 Aug 2026) — S$50 Off Per Adult, But Six of This Year's Seven Windows Are Already Marked 'Fully Redeemed', It's Round-Trip Ex-Singapore Only, and the Code Caps at Two Passengers Per Booking

Singapore Airlines reopens its monthly DBS/POSB promo code at 10am tomorrow — DBS50OFF, S$50 off per adult on a return fare — and the number that decides whether you get it is not the discount. It is the quota.

The offer, as Singapore Airlines states it

Enter DBS50OFF at flight search on www.singaporeair.com, pay with an eligible DBS or POSB Credit or Debit Card, and the code takes S$50 off each eligible adult passenger's return nett fare. It works across the whole cabin range — Suites, First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy — for all flights from Singapore to any destination in the Singapore Airlines network.

The dates are generous at one end and tight at the other:

That travel window is the useful part. You are not booking a trip for next week — you can lock in the discount now for May 2027, which makes this worth using on a June school-holiday or year-end trip you were going to book anyway.

The quota is the real deadline

Here is the bit that does not survive the repost cycle. DBS publishes all twelve 2026 campaign windows on its own card-privileges page, released on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am SGT — and it marks the ones that ran out:

Six of the first seven windows this year were exhausted before their end date. SIA's terms put it plainly — *limited redemptions available on a first-come-first served basis, while stocks last till fully redeemed* — so "runs till 17 August" is a ceiling, not a promise. Treat Monday 11 August, 10am as the deadline and the 17th as the fallback.

For scale, the same SIA offers page currently shows the HSBC code (HSBCDEAL, up to S$120 off, last Tuesday of the month) stamped [Fully redeemed], and July's Citi Prestige codes likewise. These bank-code drops go fast here.

The five rules that decide if your booking qualifies

1. Round trip only. SIA's terms exclude one-way and open-jaw itineraries outright.
2. Singapore must be the first boarding point of the entire itinerary — a return that begins overseas does not qualify.
3. SIA-operated flights only. Codeshare flights are excluded, so check the operating carrier on connecting routes.
4. Maximum two passengers per booking. This is the one that costs families money — see below.
5. singaporeair.com only. Not the SingaporeAir app, not appointed agents, not an OTA.

What the S$50 does *not* come off

The code applies to the return nett fare. Singapore Airlines states the discount is not applicable to taxes, fees and ancillaries such as insurance, excess baggage and seat selection. On a long-haul Business fare that hardly registers; on a cheap regional return, where taxes and surcharges are a big slice of the total, the saving is calculated on a smaller base than the headline price you see in search.

Two more terms worth reading before you click pay: use of the promo code is not refundable — including if you cancel or rebook the ticket, and including a code left unused or expired — and the code does not guarantee fare availability on your chosen dates or flights.

Families: split the booking, and do it in one sitting

Because the code allows up to two passengers per booking, a family of four booked as one reservation saves S$100. The same four people booked as two reservations of two save S$200. Same flights, double the discount.

Two things to plan for if you split. The two bookings carry separate booking references, so seat allocation, check-in and any disruption rebooking are handled independently — sort seats together at the seat-map stage rather than assuming the system will. And because the pool is first-come, first-served, make the second booking immediately after the first, not later in the week.

The code does cover adult, child and infant tickets, but the discount on child and infant fares is pro-rated to the ticket price rather than a flat S$50. SIA says the breakdown appears on the checkout page — check it there before paying.

One timing note on the fares themselves

Singapore Airlines' Global Fare Sale — the one with economy returns from S$208 to Penang, S$218 to Kuala Lumpur, S$308 to Bali and S$1,008 to Frankfurt — closed its booking window on 9 August 2026. Those promotional prices are no longer bookable, so DBS50OFF now applies to standard published fares. It is still S$50, but do not go in expecting to stack it on the sale prices you read about last month.
