New Balance will fit you into a pair of its current running shoes at Suntec City and send you out for an hour around Marina Bay, free, with nothing to buy when you bring them back. Booking is through New Balance's own scheduling page, and sessions run Monday to Thursday only.

What you actually get
A one-hour block. Staff fit you in store, then you take the shoes out for a self-guided run, walk or gym session of your own choosing around Suntec City and Marina Bay. New Balance's announcement names the Ellipse, FuelCell Rebel, 1080, SuperComp Rebel and SuperComp Elite as the trial models, subject to stock and your size on the day.
There is no purchase requirement and no deposit anywhere in the terms. The declaration you agree to when booking says in writing that each participant takes part for free.
Arrive 15 minutes early so staff can fit you, and bring your own socks, because they are not supplied. If you need to cancel, the page asks for at least 6 hours' notice.
The end date New Balance has not published
There is no end date on the booking page, and none in any of the coverage. The booking calendar has one anyway.
Checked on the evening of Sunday 20 September 2026, New Balance's scheduling system offers sessions on every normal trial day up to Tuesday 20 October 2026, and then stops dead. Wednesday 21 October, Thursday 22 October and every day after that return nothing, and November and December are completely empty.
Two things follow. First, 20 October is currently the last day anyone can book. Second, there is a contradiction on the page itself: it states that "bookings may be made up to 14 days in advance", yet it was offering slots a full 30 days out. Go by the calendar, not by the sentence. New Balance can also extend the schedule at any time, since its terms let it amend everything without notice.

The grid is small by design. Tuesday to Thursday runs seven starts a day, at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 3pm, 4.30pm, 6pm and 7.30pm. Monday runs three, at 4pm, 5.30pm and 7pm. That is 24 sessions a week for the whole island, which is why the nearest dates thin out first. From Monday 5 October onwards the calendar is still mostly open, so that is where to aim.

Several write-ups say the session ends with a 15% discount coupon. That number is in neither New Balance's announcement nor the terms on the booking page, so treat it as unconfirmed. It also matters less than it sounds. Fifteen per cent off the S$339 Elite v6 is S$50.85, while the FuelCell Rebel v5 is already half price at S$100 in selected men's colourways on New Balance's own site. Trialling the dearest shoe and buying it at a coupon rate can easily cost more than simply buying the discounted one.
The fine print
- 18 and over. The health declaration requires every participant to be at least 18, so this is not a school-holiday activity for the kids.
- Monday to Thursday only. There are no Friday, Saturday or Sunday sessions, which is exactly when most people would want one.
- Last start is not closing time. Monday's last start is 7pm against an 8.30pm close; Tuesday to Thursday it is 7.30pm.
- Entirely at your own risk. You sign a declaration and liability waiver covering blisters, abrasions, falls and injury, and you confirm you are in good health.
- Terms can change without notice. The page says so in as many words.
- Socks are on you. Bring a pair or you are not running.
Worth knowing before you book
- Aim at October, not this week. The next eight open days are picked over, and one of them has nothing left at all. The week of 5 October is where the choice is.
- Check your junk folder. The page warns that confirmation emails land in spam, and tells you to call the store on 6238 0091 to verify if nothing arrives.
- One store, one hour. This runs at 3 Temasek Blvd #01-325/326, Singapore 038983 only, and the block is a fixed hour, not open-ended.
