Five Singapore restaurants worth booking for a Father's Day dinner, dad's birthday or any big occasion, with every price read off the venue's own menu or booking system on 17 September 2026. The cheapest way in is Meadesmoore's weekday set lunch at $36++ for two courses. The catch: Lawry's standing offers (kids dine free on Sunday, 20% off steaks on Wednesday, the birthday deal) are blacked out on Father's Day, and the next blackout is the F1 Grand Prix, 9-11 October. Coming up: Oktoberfest at Lime, 25 September to 4 October, from S$108++ per adult. And Esquina's 15th-anniversary specials are back, with a free carafe of house wine when you order six.

The live deals right now
Lawry's standing offers. Two are dated to 30 November 2026: 20% off every prime rib and beef steak on the a la carte lunch and dinner menus on Wednesdays, and 2 kids aged 12 and under dine free on Sundays with every 2 adult mains or set menus ordered (max 2 kids' meals per bill). The third, for free Lawry's Privilege Circle members, is a birthday month deal with no published end date: a party of two gets 50% off the second main, a group gets its third main free, plus a complimentary dessert. None can be stacked with another promotion, and all are blacked out on public holidays, their eves and named occasions. Father's Day (20-21 June) was one; the ones still ahead are the F1 Grand Prix, 9-11 October, Thanksgiving, 26-27 November, and all of December.
Oktoberfest at Lime, 25 September to 4 October 2026, dinner only, 6pm to 9.30pm: S$108 per adult and S$54 per child from Sunday to Thursday, S$128 and S$64 on Friday and Saturday, with an optional free-flow Erdinger Weissbier and house-pour package at S$35 per person and a live band from Wednesday to Saturday. Prices are before service charge and GST, child prices cover ages 6 to 12, and children 5 and under dine free.
American Express Love Dining at Lawry's, 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027: pay with an eligible Amex Platinum or Centurion card and a solo diner gets 15% off a la carte food, a table of two gets 50% (minimum 2 main courses), three diners 35%, four 25%, and five to twenty 20%. It shares the public-holiday, F1 and Thanksgiving blackouts (its Christmas blackout starts on 11 December) and cannot be combined with the standing offers above, so for a couple it is usually the bigger saving.
Lime's everyday pricing, for planning around those windows: buffet lunch $58++ Monday and Tuesday, $68++ Wednesday to Friday, $88++ Saturday and Sunday; the daily Seafood Symphony dinner buffet from $78++; and a weekend Cheers O'Clock high tea, 3pm to 5pm, at $88++. Children aged 6 to 12 pay exactly half throughout. The kids-dine-free week (7 to 13 September) and the Lobsterfest (6 July to 6 September) have both ended.
Esquina's 15th Anniversary Specials are back, on a menu dated 16 September 2026 that runs alongside the regular a la carte: nine throwback dishes, each tagged with the year it first appeared, from $15 (Mini Spanish Breakfast, Japanese Sweet Potato, Zuberoa Burnt Basque Cheesecake) up to $45 (Spanish carabinero prawn al ajillo). Order six anniversary specials and a carafe of house Spanish wine is complimentary. No end date is published, and the Spanish Tuna Specials menu finished on 12 September. The standing a la carte still starts at $8, which remains the cheapest way on this list to make a meal feel like an occasion.
Booking a birthday dinner for dad
Nothing on this list is a Father's Day-only menu, which is exactly why it works the other 364 days. For a birthday dinner for dad the maths is actively better, because Lawry's birthday offer is blacked out on Father's Day but not on an ordinary birthday. Join the free Lawry's Privilege Circle and, during dad's birthday month, a party of two gets 50% off the second main course or a group gets its third main free, plus a complimentary birthday dessert and an instant photo print. Read the fine print before you plan around it: one discounted or complimentary main per table per bill, adults only, dine-in only, no stacking with other offers, not valid in December, and blacked out on public holidays and their eves.
Lawry's is also simply the best birthday room here. The tableside carving cart is the moment, and staff will bring a candle if you flag the birthday when you reserve. Meadesmoore suits a smaller, more serious table, and its sharing cuts mean one dish becomes the event. Black Tap is the one to pick for a kid's birthday or a teenager, because the CrazyShake arrives looking like a birthday cake already. Esquina works for a birthday drinks-and-snacks night rather than a sit-down. Three practical notes: most of these charge a cake plating fee if you bring your own cake, so ask; corkage on a celebration bottle is worth checking too, and Esquina's is $78++ per 750ml, waived one-for-one against any bottle you buy off their list; and weekday birthdays are far easier to book than a Friday or Saturday.
Quick tips
- Mind the ++. A $88++ menu is really about $105 once 10% service charge and 9% GST land
- Book the Saturday, not the Sunday. Same food, calmer room, far better availability, and Lawry's offers actually apply
- Eat at Lime early in the week. Buffet lunch is $58++ on Monday and Tuesday against $88++ at the weekend
- Lunch is the cheap way into a steakhouse. Meadesmoore is $36++ for two courses Monday to Friday, against $52 to $280 a la carte
- Check the day, not just the date. Esquina shuts Sun and Mon and closes between lunch and dinner; Meadesmoore is dinner-only on Sat and Sun
- Ask about corkage. Esquina charges $78++ per 750ml bottle, waived if you buy a bottle from their list
- Don't mix up the PARKROYALs. Lime is at the Pickering property, not Marina Bay
- Ask about kids. Child pricing and high chairs vary: Lime is a flat half price, Lawry's is free on Sundays outside blackout dates
- No reservation? No problem. A hawker or zi char feast is a perfectly good Plan B
