Crystal Jade has closed four more Singapore restaurants. Three Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao outlets, at Bugis Junction, Toa Payoh and i12 Katong, and CJ GO at Oasis Terraces in Punggol ceased operations on 6 October 2026. The receivers, advisory firm Kroll, announced the closures on 7 October together with termination notices for about 120 workers, as part of a restructuring ahead of a proposed sale of the business.
> Quick view: 4 outlets closed on 6 Oct (La Mian XLB Bugis Junction, Toa Payoh, i12 Katong; CJ GO Punggol) · Kroll says 9 remain, Crystal Jade's locator shows 8 · Pavilion at VivoCity is closed for renovation · Jadeite eVouchers work at 5 restaurants you can walk into without a boarding pass · Kroll does not expect more Singapore closures

Kroll's representatives were appointed receivers over the holding companies of Crystal Jade's Singapore and Hong Kong businesses on 29 September. In its 7 October statement, reported by The Straits Times, Kroll said the restructuring measures it identified for the Singapore business have now been carried out, leaving nine operating outlets and a workforce of about 210. Separately, the group's central kitchen, Crystal Jade Food Manufacturing, stopped operating on 5 October. That company sits outside the receivership, and management took the decision as part of the wider restructuring.
These are not the first closures this year. Hillion Mall, Suntec City (16 July), Great World (1 September), The Clementi Mall (15 September) and Jurong Point (18 September) had already gone, so Crystal Jade has now shut nine Singapore restaurants in 2026.
Where Crystal Jade still is
We read Crystal Jade's own restaurant locator on 7 October. It lists eight restaurants:
| Brand | Outlet | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Crystal Jade Palace | Takashimaya #04-19 | Open |
| Crystal Jade Golden Palace | The Paragon #05-22 | Open |
| Crystal Jade Pavilion | VivoCity #01-112 | Temporarily closed for renovation from 26 Sep |
| Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen | Causeway Point #05-10 | Open |
| Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen | Takashimaya #B2-38 | Open |
| Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen | One Holland Village #02-28 to 02-30 | Open |
| Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen | Tampines 1 #04-04 | Open, no Jadeite vouchers or JPoints |
| Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao | Changi Airport T1 #03-54 | In the departure/transit lounge |
The gap between Kroll's nine and the locator's eight is most likely CJ GO at Changi Airport T4 (#02-41). It was on the locator in September, it is not listed now, and it was not named among the closures. Call before you make a trip for it.
If La Mian Xiao Long Bao was your usual, the brand now has a single restaurant, and it is on the airside of Terminal 1. For anyone not flying, that is effectively the end of Crystal Jade's casual xiao long bao and la mian chain on the island. The Hong Kong Kitchens serve dim sum, and the guides below list other xiao long bao spots.
What it means for your Jadeite vouchers
This is the part that costs money. Crystal Jade's Jadeite page states that eVouchers cannot be redeemed, and JPoints cannot be earned or used, at Hong Kong Kitchen Tampines 1. Take out Tampines 1, the Pavilion renovation and the airside T1 outlet, and the restaurants where a member can walk in and pay with eVouchers today are:
- Crystal Jade Palace, Takashimaya #04-19
- Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen, Takashimaya #B2-38
- Crystal Jade Golden Palace, The Paragon #05-22
- Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen, Causeway Point #05-10
- Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen, One Holland Village #02-28 to 02-30
That is two in Orchard, one in Woodlands and one in Holland Village. Outside the airport, Tampines 1 is now the only Crystal Jade in the east, and it does not take them. The north-east has no Crystal Jade at all.
Kroll has said the restaurants keep trading during the receivership, but it has not said anything publicly about how Jadeite vouchers or points would be treated in a sale. Our practical suggestion: check the expiry dates on what you hold and plan a meal to use them, rather than buying more vouchers on the e-store until the sale is settled. This is not financial advice; for a specific voucher question, email jadeite@crystaljade.com.
What else has changed
- The takeaway promotions are no longer listed. On 7 October, Crystal Jade's promotions page listed only the Jadeite welcome bonus for OCBC cardmembers. The Takeaway Specials it carried in September, including the Family Roast Bundle and the La Mian Xiao Long Bao bento sets (sold only at Toa Payoh, Bugis Junction and i12 Katong, all now closed), are not on it. Call a Hong Kong Kitchen before counting on a roast bundle.
- The e-store now sells only JPoints, gift vouchers and merchandise. There is no food to order on it.
- No more closures expected. Kroll says it does not expect further outlet closures in Singapore.
For the affected staff
Kroll says affected employees will be paid salaries up to their final day, and restaurant staff will serve their notice periods and be compensated under their contracts. The Food, Drinks and Allied Workers Union (FDAWU) and NTUC's e2i have lined up more than 400 job openings across food manufacturing, food services, hospitality and retail, with on-site interviews from employers including Paris Baguette, Neo Group Bakery and Din Tai Fung.
