Singapore's last OldTown White Coffee restaurant is closing. The Malaysian kopitiam chain will shut its Kallang Wave Mall outlet for good on Sunday, 11 October 2026, after more than 12 years there, and the brand has confirmed nothing replaces it.

OldTown announced the closure in a "Closure Notice" on its OldTown Singapore Facebook page on 2 October, thanking customers "for every visit, every cup of our signature OldTown White Coffee, every meal shared". In a reply under the post, the brand confirmed that once Kallang Wave closes from 12 October, there will be no other OldTown F&B outlets in Singapore.
Why it is closing
In a media reply reported by The Straits Times, OldTown said the landlord decided not to renew its lease at Kallang Wave Mall, which is part of The Kallang, and the two sides could not agree on an extension. The company added that it does not rule out returning to Singapore if suitable opportunities come up. No new location has been named.
Kallang Wave Mall has seen several F&B exits this year. Seoul Yummy closes its last outlet in the same mall on 22 October, so if you are heading down this week you can say goodbye to both.
What this means for you
- This is the last week. Go before Sunday 11 October if OldTown's white coffee, kaya toast or nasi lemak is your Kallang ritual. The final weekend will be the busiest, so a weekday visit is the safer bet.
- Call ahead on the last day. Closing-day hours and menu items can run short as stock is cleared. The outlet's number is 6702 4404.
- Gift cards or vouchers: if you hold any OldTown Singapore stored value, use it at Kallang Wave before 11 October, since there is no other local outlet to redeem it at.
- The coffee sachets are a different matter. The notice covers the restaurant only. OldTown's packaged 3-in-1 white coffee is a retail product, so check your supermarket or online grocer.
