Bee Cheng Hiang put its 9.9 sale on its web store on Tuesday 1 September 2026, and the first thing printed on the artwork is the thing most people will get wrong: ONLINE EXCLUSIVE. None of it works at the counter.

What is actually discounted
Bee Cheng Hiang prices most of its range by weight at a flat rate per kilo, which is why the pack sizes divide so cleanly. Bakkwa Bites runs at $65 a kilo ($6.50 for 100g, $13.00 for 200g, $16.25 for 250g), and Gourmet Fusion runs at $88 a kilo ($26.40 for 300g up to $88.00 for the full kilo). That matters for reading the discounts.

Two notes on that table. The Gourmet Fusion figures are the brand's own per-kilo pricing with its own stated percentages applied, because the product page still displays the undiscounted $26.40 to $88.00 range with no struck-through price. Unlike Bakkwa Bites, which shows a cut range against the usual one, Gourmet Fusion carries only a promotion label, so the reduction lands in the cart. Check it before you pay. And the 300g Gourmet Fusion is not in the promotion at all: only 500g, 600g and the kilo are named.
The best buy is a sizing quirk
Bakkwa Bites is the deepest cut on the page, and the way it was applied creates an odd result. Only the 250g pack was repriced, to $9.90. The 100g stays at $6.50 and the 200g stays at $13.00.
So the 250g pack is now $3.10 cheaper than the 200g pack, for 50g more product. There is no situation in this sale where buying the 200g makes sense. Bee Cheng Hiang's own listing gives the game away: the price range shown for Bakkwa Bites during the sale reads $6.50 to $13.00, and that $13.00 top end is the 200g, not the 250g.
The sale page is not the sale
This is the part worth acting on. Bee Cheng Hiang's 9.9 Sales collection page carries exactly eight products: Gourmet Fusion, Bakkwa Bites, the three Crispy Pulled Pork Twists and three EZ Mini Crunchies.
At least four more discounted lines are not on it. Under the ordinary Rolls category, three products carry a "$9.90 ONLY!" flash against a usual $14.80: Golden Floss Roll 165g, Crispy Chicken Roll 165g and Puffed Rice Seaweed Roll 70g. Under Snacks, Bakkwa Layer 90g is flagged "1 FOR $19.90; 2 FOR $35" against a usual $22.80. Those two flashes are what the banner's "$9.90/bot" and "$9.90/pkt" callouts point at, and none of them appear on the page named after the sale.
The EZ Mini Crunchies bundle has a similar gap. The 9.9 page shows three flavours, but the Mini Crunchies category shows five singles carrying the "5 FOR $29.90" tag: Original 60g, Coconut 60g, Furikake 60g and Okra 60g at $9.00 each, plus Cereal 45g at $7.00. Five of the $9.00 packs would be $45, so $29.90 is where the banner's "up to 34% off" figure comes from. The larger EZ Mini Crunchies tubs at $15.00 to $54.00 are not in the bundle, and the Okra tub is currently out of stock even though the Okra 60g single is still orderable.
The gift ladder, and where it stops being worth it

Stepping from $80 to $100 costs $20 and buys $10.80 more gift, which is close to half your money back. Stepping from $100 to $199 costs $99 and buys $6.20 more gift. If you were going to spend around $100 anyway, the middle tier is the one to aim at. Do not push a basket to $199 for the top gift alone.
One inconsistency: the campaign banner calls the first gift "2 x Small Piglet Basket", while the promotion line on every product page reads "GWP80: 2X BIG PIGLET BASKET". Only the banner attaches the $6.00 value, so plan on the small one.
The gifts are also not limited to the sale items. Regular products such as the canned floss range, Durian Cake and Prawn Roll all carry a "Comes with Gifts with Purchase" flag, so it is the basket total that qualifies you, not what is in it.
The $4.99 delivery fee needs a second look
The banner advertises a $4.99 delivery fee. Bee Cheng Hiang's own FAQ and every product page still say something different: a flat $8, free with a minimum spend of $50, followed by an explicit warning that "the delivery fee and the minimum spend to get free delivery may increase during peak periods".
Mid-Autumn is a peak period for this brand, so the sensible reading is that the standing free-over-$50 rule may not be running right now and $4.99 is the campaign rate in its place. That would make $4.99 a good deal on a small basket and a worse one than usual on a large basket. Either way, read the fee on the checkout page before you commit, especially if your total is above $50.
Two things that are settled: website prices are GST inclusive, per the brand's own FAQ, so nothing is added at the end; and delivery runs daily 9am to 6pm including weekends and public holidays, with slots shown in the cart and address changes allowed up to 9.30pm the day before.
If you bought in August, you already won
Bee Cheng Hiang ran an online-exclusive National Day sale to 10 August 2026, and it was a harder sale than this one. The Mala Crispy Pulled Pork Twist 200g was $10.92 then, a 61% cut. The same pack today is $19.90. That is $8.98 more for the same product four weeks later, and the pattern repeats across the twist range.
The takeaway is not that 9.9 is bad, it is that 9.9 is narrow. Two lines are genuinely worth ordering for: the 250g Bakkwa Bites at $9.90, and the three rolls at $9.90 that the sale page does not list. The rest is a normal seasonal markdown.
Small print and tips
- Online only, on the website or the app. Orders are not taken by phone or email.
- No published end date. The only date on the artwork is delivery slots to 24 September, the day before Mid-Autumn Festival on Friday 25 September 2026.
- Payment is by credit or debit card, or PayNow.
- BCH Treats is free to join and pays 3 points per dollar at Silver tier, with 100 points worth $1, so about 3% back on top of the sale. Points are not earned on delivery fees, and points earned this year expire on 31 March next year.
- Freshly grilled bakkwa keeps 7 days at room temperature and up to 14 days refrigerated, per the brand's own storage note. Buying a kilo at 25% off only pays if you can eat or freeze it in time.
- Order early in the window. Delivery slots are shown at checkout and the Mid-Autumn fortnight is when they fill.
