5 Best Thai Restaurants in Singapore 2026: The Best Thai Food, Buffets From $19.90++ and Live 1-for-1 Deals (Bangkok Jam, Siam Kitchen, Sarai, Suki-Suki & Bali Thai)

The dependable all-rounder, now down to a single restaurant. Bangkok Jam has been doing casual modern Thai here for close to two decades, with mains in the $12-20 range and the greatest-hits menu you would want: pad thai, green curry, tom yum, basil chicken. Its own contact page and ordering site both list one outlet now, Great World (1 Kim Seng Promenade #02-127, daily 11.30am to 10pm, last order 9.30pm, Great World MRT Exit 6), so plan the trip rather than assuming there is one near you. The live card deal is the useful one: pay with an OCBC credit or debit card and get 1-for-1 on selected mains, 1 July to 30 September 2026. Read the fine print, because it covers the rice and noodle categories only, it is dine-in, there is one redemption per cardmember with limited monthly redemptions on a first-come basis, the free dish must be equal or lower in price, bills cannot be split, and it is not valid on weekends or public holidays. If you would rather eat broadly than order two mains, the 19th-anniversary buffet is the better play: 19 Thai dishes at $19.90++ an adult (U.P. $22.90++) and $15.90++ for children aged 5 to 10, or $26.90++ for the premium tier (U.P. $29.90++, children $18.90++) that adds steamed seabass with chilli and lime, Thai black pepper beef, moo ping and a drink. Children under 5 eat free. It runs Monday to Friday, lunch 11.30am to 3pm and dinner from 5pm, with an 80-minute table limit and last seating at 2pm and 8pm; the premium tier needs two diners, the classic one does not, buffet items cannot be taken away, and a $5-per-100g food wastage fee applies. Siam Kitchen is halal-certified, but it no longer fills the heartland malls it used to: its own About Us and reservations pages now list HomeTeamNS Khatib and SAFRA Toa Payoh only, its contact page lists Khatib alone, and its ordering site offers pickup from Khatib alone. Causeway Point, Lot One and Henderson have gone from every one of the brand's own surfaces, so treat any older list of five outlets, including the one we ran until this update, as out of date. Its OCBC deal mirrors Bangkok Jam's: 1-for-1 on selected rice and noodle mains when you pay with an OCBC card, 1 July to 30 September 2026, weekdays and dine-in only, one redemption per cardmember. Two catches before you order, because beef and seafood mains carry a $1 top-up and so does a sunny-side-up egg. The everyday value play is the weekday set lunch at $11.90++, one main plus a drink (Thai milk tea, iced lemon tea, roselle or iced lemongrass tea), dine-in at the HomeTeamNS Khatib outlet only, 11.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays and their eves. With Bali Thai's sets lapsed, that is now the cheapest plate on this list. The SG61 Feast at $61++ for three to four people ran 1 to 31 August 2026 and is over, and Siam Kitchen has taken the page down. What replaces it for the school holidays is the Kaprao Challenge: finish the Level 3 Spicy Kaprao in under a minute with no drinks allowed and a table of at least four gets a free Thai steamed seabass, 1 to 30 September 2026, dine-in, no bill splitting, not valid on public holidays or their eves. The standing deal to know about, and the one we had missed until this update, is the best of the lot for a pair: pick Mala as one of your soup bases and the second diner gets 20% off, all day Monday to Friday, dine-in, regular buffet only with no premium top-ups and no stacking with card privileges. Cheaper still at lunch, students and seniors aged 60 and above get the regular lunch buffet at $18.90++, and a fourth diner eats free with three paying adults, both Monday to Thursday (Friday +$3), 60-minute seating, regular buffet only, valid ID required. The longer-running card offer is OCBC's, in two halves depending on when you go: 30% off the premium buffet top-up from Monday to Thursday, or $25 off when you order four premium buffets from Friday to Sunday, valid 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2027. Read one line in its terms before you count on it, because every diner at the table has to order the premium top-up for the discount to apply, so a mixed table of regular and premium buffets does not qualify. The one to plan a dinner around is BYOB. Bring your own wine, champagne, sake or spirits and the first bottle is free of corkage for every two diners, with further bottles at 1-for-1 or $20++ each, down from the usual $40++, and no minimum spend, Monday to Thursday till 31 October 2026. At a restaurant in this bracket that is the single biggest saving on the table. The weekend buffet is worth doing the maths on. Walk-up a la carte rates are $39++ an adult and $19++ a child aged 5 to 11 at lunch (11.30am to 3pm), $49++ and $29++ at dinner (from 5.30pm), or $69++ and $79++ an adult with the free-flow beverage package. Against that, the standing 2-for-$60++ a la carte lunch buffet works out at $30++ a head, so book that rather than paying the rack rate. Both versions need a minimum of two diners, cap the table at ten, and require every diner to buy a drink, with still and sparkling water excluded. The OCBC offer is a complimentary pandan-wrapped fried chicken (gai hor bai toey, one of the great Thai starters) with a minimum spend of $80++ from Monday to Thursday or $90++ from Friday to Sunday, 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2027. It excludes eves of and public holidays plus restaurant-set blackout dates, covers dine-in and takeaway but not delivery, and cannot be stacked with other promotions or set menus, which means it will not combine with the buffet. Sarai's $61++ National Day 3-course set for two ran 1 to 15 August 2026 and has now been taken off the promotions page, although a National Day Set Menu link still sits in the site's menu drop-down, so ignore it if you see it. BEST FOR: a birthday, a date, or anyone who has decided that tonight is not a food-court night and has a good bottle at home worth opening.

The mall option, the third halal name here, and now the easiest of the five to get to. Bali Thai does Thai-Indonesian cooking at everyday a la carte prices: pad thai, tom yum seafood fried rice, green curry chicken, XO seafood fried rice. Its own store page lists four Singapore restaurants, at Causeway Point, IMM, Suntec City and Ngee Ann City, all open daily 11.30am to 10pm with last order at 9.30pm. That is more outlets than Bangkok Jam, Siam Kitchen, Sarai and Suki-Suki have between them, though it is well short of the over nine restaurants the Bali Thai homepage still claims, a figure that counts Beijing and has not kept up with the store list. Worth repeating a correction we made last round: Bali Thai is halal-certified. A MUIS halal logo sits on its own website, its parent Katrina Group lists it alongside So Pho and Streats as one of its halal-certified brands, and CapitaLand's own mall listings state plainly that the restaurant is halal-certified. That makes three of the five here halal, so if you are feeding a mixed group Bali Thai belongs on the shortlist next to Siam Kitchen and Suki-Suki.
