Half-price Kyoto matcha, if you bring someone: TSUJIRI Singapore is running a 1-for-1 Float promotion for Singapore's 61st birthday — buy one float, the second is free — from 26 July to 9 August 2026.
> Quick view: 1-for-1 Matcha Float or Houjicha Float · 7 outlets · 26 Jul–9 Aug 2026 · takeaway · while stocks last · T&Cs apply.
TSUJIRI is the Uji, Kyoto tea house that has been trading since 1860, and its floats are the thing it is best known for here: a cup of iced Japanese tea with a swirl of its own soft serve on top, melting into the drink as you work down the cup.
The two floats
- Matcha Float — iced matcha under TSUJIRI's matcha soft serve. The grassier, more bitter of the pair.
- Houjicha Float — the roasted-tea version: nuttier, toastier, less bitter, and the one to pick if matcha is usually too sharp for you.
Those are the only two drinks in the promotion. TSUJIRI's announcement doesn't spell out whether you can mix and match one of each — the obvious play for two people — so ask at the counter before you pay.
Where it's running — seven outlets
- Tsujiri Premium Tanjong Pagar
- Tsujiri Premium Holland Village
- Tsujiri Sengkang Grand Mall
- Tsujiri Clementi Peaks
- Tsujiri Tanjong Pagar
- Tsujiri Pasir Ris Mall
- Tsujiri The Central
Worth flagging: TSUJIRI trades at other locations too — White Sands and Great World among them — and those are not on the announced list. Don't make a special trip to an unlisted outlet without calling ahead.
The fine print
- Takeaway — the poster says the offer is available for takeaway, so don't count on sitting in with it.
- While stocks last — soft-serve deals live and die by the day's stock; the 9–10 August long weekend will be the tightest window.
- T&Cs apply — TSUJIRI hasn't published the full terms in the announcement.
- No price published — menu listings put TSUJIRI floats at roughly S$7–8 before GST, which would make a 1-for-1 about S$4 a cup across two people. Confirm the live price at the counter; that figure is a guide, not a quote.
- Delivery isn't mentioned — the announcement names outlets, not GrabFood or foodpanda, so treat app ordering as unconfirmed.
How to play it
Go on a weekday afternoon at one of the mall outlets (Sengkang Grand Mall, Clementi Peaks, Pasir Ris Mall) rather than into the National Day crush, and take one of each flavour if the counter allows it — matcha and houjicha are different enough that splitting them is more interesting than doubling up. The promo ends Sunday 9 August, the day before the National Day holiday, so the long weekend is not a fallback: 9 August is the last day.
