SIMBA is giving Trust Bank customers $20 off a new sign-up of its 10Gbps home broadband, and its own promo page puts a hard window on it: 1 to 30 September 2026. That leaves ten days.

What you are actually buying

The Trust offer is not a plan of its own. It is $20 off SIMBA's existing 10Gbps Broadband with the eero WiFi 7 router, which sits at $29.99 per 30 days, GST included, on a 2-year contract. SIMBA's broadband page lists what comes free with it:

SIMBA undercounts its own giveaway

The Trust promo page summarises that bundle as a free router and ONU worth over $500, and the whole package as over $700 in upfront savings. SIMBA's broadband page prices the same five line items at $1,049.03. The router alone is $599.99 there, which already beats the over-$500 figure the Trust page gives for the router and ONU together. Nothing is being oversold here, but if you are weighing this against a rival plan, use the line items rather than the headline.

The fine print, from SIMBA's own terms

  1. In store only. The terms say the $20 can be redeemed at selected SIMBA stores only, and the promo page lists 27 service centres, from Kaki Bukit and Orchard Central to Jurong Point, Waterway Point and AMK Hub. SIMBA sells this broadband online with Singpass, but the Trust discount is not written for that path.
  2. It is a credit, not a counter discount. The $20 is applied when SIMBA first charges you for the service. You still sign for the full price on the day.
  3. New sign-ups at a residential address, on the 10Gbps Broadband eero WiFi 7 router plan with a 2-year contract. Note the plan is named specifically. SIMBA sells a Premium Huawei WiFi 7 Mesh version at the same $29.99 with three mesh units, and the Trust terms do not mention it. Ask at the counter before you pick.
  4. One redemption per residential address, non-transferable, and not exchangeable for cash.
  5. No stacking. It cannot be combined with any other promotion unless SIMBA says otherwise.
  6. The page never says how you prove you are a Trust customer. Bring the Trust app on your phone.

The arithmetic SIMBA does not print

SIMBA bills per 30 days, not per calendar month. A year is 365 days, so you pay about 12.2 cycles, not 12: $364.88 a year rather than $359.88. Across the full 2-year contract that is roughly $730, or about $710 once the $20 credit lands. It is a small gap, but it is the kind that makes a side-by-side against a monthly-billed rival look better than it is.

Is it really Singapore's cheapest 10Gbps?

SIMBA's promo page calls this Singapore's Lowest-Priced 10Gbps Broadband. On headline price that does not survive a check. M1's own website currently advertises 10Gbps from $26.90 a month, and 10Gbps broadband with a 10Gbps router at $30.90 a month. So M1 is about $3 a month cheaper than SIMBA if you skip the router, and about $0.91 a month dearer if you take one.

Two caveats before you use those numbers. M1's navigation does not state whether its figures include GST, while SIMBA's plan card explicitly says with GST, so the real gap could move either way at checkout. And the routers are not equivalent: SIMBA is handing over an eero Pro 7 10G it values at $599.99.

The honest summary is that SIMBA is competitive rather than untouchable, and the reason to take it is the hardware, not the monthly figure.

Who this suits

Worth a trip to a SIMBA counter if you are already out of contract, you bank with Trust, and you want a WiFi 7 router you would otherwise pay several hundred dollars for. Worth skipping if you are happy on a 1Gbps plan, since almost nothing in a normal home will notice the difference, or if a 2-year tie-in does not suit a lease you are not certain of renewing.
