Shell Singapore is bringing back its best-received promo of the year for the two weekends around the Formula 1 race: Shell V-Power, its premium petrol, sold at the Shell FuelSave 98 price.

The offer, in Shell's words
Shell's terms for the October run are two pages long and match the August National Day version almost word for word:
> "During the Promotion Period, the price of Shell V-Power will be the prevailing price of Shell FuelSave 98, before applicable discounts or rebates."
The two windows, both inclusive:
- Friday 2 October 2026, 7am to Sunday 4 October 2026, 10pm
- Friday 9 October 2026, 7am to Sunday 11 October 2026, 10pm
The second window is the Singapore Grand Prix weekend itself, when Marina Centre roads are closed and the rest of the island's traffic shifts around them.
What it's worth
On 29 September 2026 the pump boards showed Shell's 98-octane at $4.01 a litre and V-Power at $4.23, a gross gap of 22 cents a litre. Here is what that looks like per fill:

The promo is pegged to the *prevailing* 98 price, so if pump prices move before Friday, the numbers move too.
Why the "before discounts" line matters
Shell cuts the board price, and your usual discounts then come off the lower figure. From Shell's Station Price Board page, checked 29 September:
- UOB One Card: 17% instant discount plus 5% cash rebates
- Other UOB cards or a Citibank card: 14% instant discount
- SAFRA and HomeTeamNS members (excluding Private Hire scheme members): an extra 2%, for up to 19% in total
- Shell GO+: earn 1-1.2 points per litre and redeem $2 off per 60 points
- Private Hire scheme drivers: 22% with cash or NETS, 24% with the UOB One Card
Bank caps and minimum spends are set by the banks, not by this promotion.
What's different from August
The National Day run came with a free ice cream cart and a lucky draw for Ferrari merchandise and a meet-and-greet with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Neither carries over. The October terms cover the fuel price only, and the lucky draw's own terms closed it on 30 September 2026, so October litres earn no entries.
The fine print
- While stocks last, and Shell can amend, suspend or end the promotion at any time.
- No minimum fuel purchase, so a top-up counts.
- All Shell stations except Shell Woodlands Mandai (695 Mandai Road), which doesn't retail V-Power.
- Shell V-Power only; no other grade is discounted.
- Corporate Shell Card customers qualify only if their card doesn't restrict V-Power refuelling.
- Savings can't be exchanged for cash, goods or services.
Tips
- Go early on the Friday or late on the Sunday. The 7am Friday start and the 10pm Sunday cut-off are the quiet ends of each window.
- Avoid the stations near the Marina Bay circuit on 9-11 October. Road closures run from 7 to 13 October and the traffic around them is slow.
- Only worth it if you'd buy premium anyway. At $4.01 a litre, V-Power still costs more than 95-octane ($3.49 at the majors on 29 Sep). Shell markets V-Power on engine cleaning, and its own disclaimer says results vary by vehicle and driving style.
