Shell Singapore is doing the thing motorists actually want for National Day: selling its premium petrol at the cheaper grade's price. Across two weekends only, Shell V-Power is charged at the prevailing Shell FuelSave 98 gross pump price.

Shell's own terms and conditions document for this promotion is short and unusually clear:
> "During the Promotion Period, the price of Shell V-Power will be the prevailing price of Shell FuelSave 98, before applicable discounts or rebates."
Two windows, both inclusive:
- Friday 31 July 2026, 7am → Sunday 2 August 2026, 10pm
- Friday 7 August 2026, 7am → Sunday 9 August 2026, 10pm
The second window covers the National Day long weekend itself, which is also when the roads out to Malaysia and the East Coast fill up.
What it's worth
Prices move daily, so this is a snapshot rather than a promise. On 28 July 2026, third-party price trackers listed Shell's 98-octane at $3.89/litre and its premium grade at $4.11/litre — a gross gap of about 22 cents a litre.

The bit most write-ups skip: it's the GROSS price that drops
This is the detail that decides whether the promo is worth a detour. Shell is cutting the board price, *before* discounts — so your usual percentages come off the lower number instead of replacing the offer.

- UOB One Card — 17% instant discount plus 5% cash rebates
- Other UOB cards or a Citibank card — 14% instant discount
- SAFRA and HomeTeamNS members (excluding Private Hire scheme members) — an additional 2% instant fuel discount, for up to 19% total savings
- Shell GO+ — earn 1–1.2 points per litre; redeem $2 off per 60 points
- Private-hire scheme drivers — 22% with cash/NETS, 24% with the UOB One Card, plus up to $80 in vouchers
Bank caps and minimum spends are set by the banks, not by this promo — check your own card before you count on the top rate.
Free ice cream, four stations a day
With any Shell V-Power purchase you can collect a free ice cream — up to 20 flavours, while stocks last — from the Shell V-Power ice cream cart, which parks at four stations a day from 12pm to 9pm:

One honest caveat: the ice cream is not in Shell's published V-Power@98 terms. It comes from Shell's National Day campaign announcement and the deal listings that reproduced it, so treat the cart schedule as subject to change — and note that "Shell Woodlands" on the cart list is a *different* station from Shell Woodlands Mandai, which doesn't sell V-Power at all.
Every litre is a lucky-draw entry
Running underneath both weekends is the VIP experience with Shell V-Power Lucky Draw, which Shell's terms date 27 July to 30 September 2026. Mechanics:
- 1 entry per 1 litre of Shell V-Power in a single transaction, rounded up — 55.3 litres counts as 56 entries
- You must be 18+ and either a Shell Asia App member on Shell GO+ or a Corporate Shell Card customer (Shell Gift Card holders excluded)
- Scan your app at payment, and enable push notifications or email
- 17–31 August: one extra entry for every 10 GO+ points redeemed in the app
There are two draws. Transactions from 27 Jul to 31 Aug go into the 3 September draw — prizes include 20 Scuderia Ferrari replica Puma tees (worth $190 each), 10 signed Charles Leclerc caps and 10 signed Lewis Hamilton caps ($300 each), 10 racing jackets ($480) and 10 driver mini helmets ($800). September transactions go into the 14 October draw for meet-and-greet passes: Shell's campaign page says 15 winners each get a pair of passes to meet Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in person on 8 October 2026, with another 50 winners getting virtual access.
Not eligible: Shell employees and their immediate family, Shell retailers and their staff, and employees of Shell retail partners — a list that includes McDonald's, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Old Chang Kee, Sarpinos, No. 17 Tea, Bee Live Beverages, Markozar, Pressed by Cheeselads and GymPod.
Also landing: Shell x Monchhichi
Separately, Shell has a limited-edition Shell x Monchhichi collection — Singapore-inspired designs in a Kopi Series (Monchhichi as kopi uncle and auntie) and a Merlion Series, covering enamel keychains, a "Good Morning"-style towel, socks, a crossbody sling shaped like a kopi takeaway bag, plushies, bag charms, food containers and tumblers. It's at Shell stations islandwide from 1 August to 30 September 2026, while stocks last, with mascot meet-and-greet appearances. Shell hasn't published prices or redemption mechanics for the collection, so ask in store.
The fine print worth reading twice
- While stocks last, and Shell can amend, suspend or end the promotion at any time.
- No minimum fuel purchase — a top-up counts.
- All Shell stations except Shell Woodlands Mandai (695 Mandai Road), which doesn't retail V-Power.
- The terms name Shell V-Power only — no other grade is included.
- Corporate Shell Card customers qualify only if their card programme doesn't restrict V-Power refuelling.
- Savings are not exchangeable for cash, goods or services.
- Check the price board on the day — the promo is pegged to the *prevailing* FuelSave 98 price, which changes.
Tips
- Go Friday morning or late Sunday. The 7am Friday start and the 10pm Sunday cut-off are the quiet ends of each window; National Day weekend afternoons will not be.
- Fill the tank, not a token $20. The saving scales with litres, and so do lucky-draw entries.
- Scan the app first, pay second. No scan, no GO+ points and no draw entries.
- If you want the ice cream, plan the station. Only four stations a day have the cart, and only between 12pm and 9pm.
