LAC Nutrition for Life is running a 9.9 Sale to Thursday 10 September 2026, and unusually for a supplement sale, the brand has published the whole mechanic in plain text on its own category page rather than burying it in a poster.
> Quick view: ends 10 Sep 2026 · Buy 1 Free 1 with $319 spend (1 set, same item) · rebates of $9 / $19 / $39 / $99 at $299 / $499 / $699 / $999 · LAC says the promotions can be used concurrently · free delivery above $80.
That transparency is worth something, because once the numbers are visible you can divide them, and the division is not flattering.
The ladder, and what each rung actually pays
This is the line LAC prints across the top of its Buy 1 Free 1 category page, verbatim:
| What you spend | What you get back | Effective discount |
|---|---|---|
| $299 | $9 instant rebate | 3.0% |
| $319 | A free second item (1 set, same item) | see below |
| $499 | $19 instant rebate | 3.8% |
| $699 | $39 instant rebate | 5.6% |
| $999 | $99 instant rebate | 9.9% |
Only the top rung reaches the 9.9 in the campaign's name, and it wants a four-figure supplement order to get there.
The steps between the rungs are the more useful view. Going from $299 to $499 costs $200 more to earn $10 more rebate, a 5% return on the extra spend. $499 to $699 is $200 more for $20 more, 10%. $699 to $999 is $300 more for $60 more, 20%. So the ladder does improve as you climb, but it starts from a very low floor and never becomes a reason on its own to add things to a basket.
$319 is the only number on this poster that matters
Look at where the free item sits. It is wedged between the first and second rebate tiers, and it is the one leg of this sale that hands you a product instead of a percentage.
LAC's terms are "1 set, same item", so you buy two of one thing and pay for one. That second copy is worth its full shelf value, and on LAC's own member prices that is a real number:
| Item (member price) | Value of the free second copy |
|---|---|
| TriAction Sleep Formula, 60 caplets | $74.00 |
| Probiotic Complex 100 Billion CFU, 30 caps | $96.76 |
| TriAction C 1000 Timed-Release, 180 caplets | $100.76 |
| Joint Protec Xtra, 240 caplets | $107.16 |
| Nerve Protect Sciatica Relief Formula, 120 vegicaps | $129.20 |
Every one of those beats the $99 that a $999 order pays out, on a basket less than a third of the size.
Which makes $299 the worst place on the whole ladder to stop. Bank the $9 there and you have taken 3.0%. Add $20 more to clear $319, double up on the probiotic you were buying anyway, and you have taken $96.76 plus the $9 you still qualify for on a $319 order, because $319 clears $299 too and LAC's own homepage banner states that the promotions can be used concurrently. That is roughly a third off, from a $20 decision.
"Storewide" is 245 products
The poster says STOREWIDE in a red ribbon. The Buy 1 Free 1 category behind it says 245 Results. It is a generous list and it covers the brand's main lines, but it is a list, and it is one you can open and count before you plan a basket around it. Check that the item you intend to double is actually in it.
The in-store version is the worse one
There are two versions of this campaign, and the brand's own artwork prices them differently.
- Online, at lac.sg: *BUY 1 FREE 1 (1 set, same item)*. The second one costs nothing.
- In store: *BUY 1 GET 2ND SAME SUPP @ $9.90 (1 set, with min. spend)*.
On a $96.76 probiotic, walking into a shop costs you $9.90 that the website does not charge. The in-store poster also prints its minimum as the words "with min. spend" and no figure, and LAC does not publish that number anywhere on its website. Deal listings are circulating a $299 in-store minimum, which is not on any LAC page we could find, so treat it as unconfirmed and ask at the counter before you build a trolley around it.
One small thing on the website: the countdown timer beside LAC's own "SEP SALE!" header banner is coded to a date in December 2023 and renders blank, so the site itself never shows you how long is left. The 10 September date comes from the homepage carousel, not the clock.
The offers running beside it
LAC has four other things live at the same time, and the first one is the one most readers should care about:
- 38% off any 3 supplements, mix and match, no minimum spend. Codes WHD38OFF3 and WHD38DEAL3, from LAC's World Heart Day promotion, and buying 6 items lets you apply both codes for two sets. Below $299 this is the only thing paying out anything at all, because the 9.9 rebate ladder does not start until $299.
- Free LAC 2-Pc Compression Packing Cubes (Burgundy) with $199 spend, one per member, while stocks last.
- Free thermal tumbler for new sign-ups with $168 spend.
- Atome September offer, up to $50 off for Atome users, running to 30 September.
Note where those gift thresholds sit: $168 and $199, both below the $299 first rebate tier. A $199 basket earns a gift and no rebate. A $299 basket earns a gift and $9.
On stacking, LAC's banner says the promotions can be used concurrently, but the site does not say whether the $299 and $319 minimums are measured before or after a coupon discount. Apply a 38% code to a $319 basket and the subtotal drops to roughly $198, which would break both thresholds if they are read post-discount. Load the cart, apply the code and look at the total before paying.
Tips
- Join LAC Club first. It is free, and on every line we checked the member price is a flat 20% under the usual price, which is a bigger cut than any rebate tier on this poster.
- Aim at $319, not $299 and not $999. The $20 between those first two numbers is the best-value twenty dollars in the sale.
- Pick the most expensive eligible item to double. The free second copy is worth whatever that item costs, so doubling a $129.20 Nerve Protect returns more than doubling a $74.00 sleep formula.
- Under $299, ignore 9.9 entirely and use the 38% codes instead.
- You clear free delivery long before you clear any of this. Shipping is free above $80, so every qualifying basket ships free regardless.
