adidas Singapore's 9.9 sale is live. The line being repeated everywhere is "30% off selected styles", and that is not what adidas' own site says. Its homepage and its sale page both print the same sentence: 9.9 SALE: EXTRA 30% OFF IN CART ON SELECTED STYLES. MEMBERS EARLY ACCESS, TODAY ONLY.
The word doing the work is extra. This is a second discount taken in the cart on top of the markdown a product already carries, and the badge only appears where a markdown already exists.
> Quick view: the extra 30% comes off in the cart, not off the ticket price, and only on stock that is already reduced. On the evening of 1 September adidas' season sale listing held 3,634 items and all 48 cards on its first page were badged; on the full-price men's shoes listing, 48 out of 48 carried no badge at all. Today is adiClub members only and you must be signed in. It opens to everyone from 2 September, and SingPromos reports it closes at 11.59pm on 10 September. The deepest corner is Last Sizes: 152 products, all at a flat 50%, all badged, so an Ultraboost 1.0 lands at about S$90.65 against a usual S$259.

The number that decides your saving is the one already on the tag
Because the 30% is multiplied against a price that has already been cut, two items with the same sticker can end up hundreds of dollars apart in value. Here is the whole ladder, worked from adidas' own listed sale prices on 1 September.
| Markdown already on the item | You pay this share of the usual price | Total off | Example from the sale page |
|---|---|---|---|
| -50% | 35% | 65% | Ultraboost 1.0, S$259 to S$129.50, about S$90.65 |
| -40% | 42% | 58% | Handball Spezial x Liberty London, S$159 to S$95.40, about S$66.78 |
| -30% | 49% | 51% | VL Court 3.0, S$115 to S$80.50, about S$56.35 |
| -20% | 56% | 44% | Tokyo MJ Shoes, S$129 to S$103.20, about S$72.24 |
| -10% | 63% | 37% | Superstar II X Slip-On, S$159 to S$143.10, about S$100.17 |
adidas only reveals the extra 30% in the cart, so the third column figures are ours, calculated as the listed sale price multiplied by 0.7. The badge itself is adidas'.
The distribution matters as much as the ladder. Of the first 40 sale cards adidas served us, 8 were at -10%, 10 at -20%, 16 at -30%, 5 at -40% and only 1 at -50%. Most of the sale is a 44% to 51% event, not a 65% one, unless you go looking.
Where the 65% actually lives
The Last Sizes rail, at adidas.com.sg/last_sizes, is the exception. It held 152 products on 1 September, and every card we checked was at a flat 50% with the extra-30% badge attached. That is the only place in the sale where the top of the ladder is the norm rather than a one-off.
| Item | Usual | On sale | About, in cart |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultraboost 1.0 Shoes | S$259 | S$129.50 | S$90.65 |
| Gazelle Indoor Pro Shoes | S$209 | S$104.50 | S$73.15 |
| Nizza Shoes | S$99 | S$49.50 | S$34.65 |
| VL Court 2.0 Shoes | S$115 | S$57.50 | S$40.25 |
| Adilette 22 XLG Slides | S$109 | S$54.50 | S$38.15 |
The catch is the section's own name. These are the sizes left behind, so confirm your size is in stock before you build a plan around one of these prices.
Elsewhere in the sale, the cheapest single line we saw was the M Blank Tee at S$35, reduced to S$17.50, which works out to about S$12.25. The Liverpool FC 25/26 Home Authentic Jersey is S$189 reduced to S$113.40, or about S$79.38.
What is excluded
Full-price stock. We checked the men's shoes listing on the same evening: all 48 cards were at full price and none carried the EXTRA 30% OFF IN CART badge. That included new-season lines like the Adizero EVO SL at S$209 and the Bad Bunny F50 Ghost Sprint at S$229, and it also included full-price Members exclusive products such as the Handball Spezial Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team Shoes at S$209. If an item is not already reduced, the 9.9 sale does nothing for it.
The fine print worth knowing
- No promo code. The discount is applied in the cart on qualifying products.
- It does not stack with anything else. adidas states the offer cannot be combined with other offers, discounts, vouchers or coupon codes, and that explicitly includes adiClub vouchers and codes.
- Today needs a sign-in. The 1 September banner reads members early access, today only. From 2 September it is open to all shoppers.
- adiClub members get free shipping, and the site was also running a separate S$8 off with Grab PayLater banner on 1 September.
- Stock is confirmed at the shipping confirmation email, not at checkout, which matters on a Last Sizes buy.
- No end date on adidas' own pages. The 11.59pm, 10 September close is SingPromos' reporting, consistent with a 9.9 campaign window. Treat the last two days as the risky ones for size availability rather than for the discount.
How we would shop it
Start at Last Sizes and filter to your size first, since that is where the flat 50% base sits. If nothing fits, sort the main sale by the deepest existing markdown rather than by the lowest price: a S$159 shoe at -40% beats a S$159 shoe at -10% by about S$33 once the extra 30% is applied, even though both look identical on the shelf. And if the thing you want is full price, this sale is not your sale, so wait.
