IVF Cost in Singapore 2026: What 8 Fertility Centres Charge, and Why the $7,700 Co-Funding Only Works at Three of Them

**KKH is the default first stop for most Singaporean couples, for one reason: the co-funding.** A Singapore Citizen couple gets 75% of a fresh assisted reproduction cycle paid for, capped at $7,700, plus 75% capped at $2,200 on each frozen cycle and 75% capped at $1,000 on an IUI, for up to three fresh and three frozen cycles. That money is only paid at KKH, NUH and SGH. **The bill it comes off is the number almost nobody publishes.** KKIVF's director, Dr Liu Shuling, put a single fresh cycle for a Singapore citizen at $12,000 to $16,000 when she spoke to The Straits Times in May 2024, in a piece SingHealth still hosts on SGH's own site. Take the low end: co-funding pays $7,700 of a $12,000 cycle and MediSave covers up to $6,000 of a first cycle, so the cash you actually hand over can be nothing. Take the high end and you are left with about $2,300 in cash after both. **What co-funding does not touch:** the consultations and investigations you have before you decide to start treatment. Those are billed normally. Co-funding also needs at least one Singaporean spouse and the wife to be below 40 at the start of the cycle, with up to two of the six cycles allowed at 40 and above if she attempted ART or IUI before turning 40. The centre sits in Women's Tower Basement 1 at 100 Bukit Timah Road, open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm and Saturday 7.30am to 12.30pm, closed Sunday and public holidays. Assessment against the clinical criteria can take up to three months before a cycle starts, so book the first consultation earlier than feels necessary.

**Same co-funding, same MediSave, different queue.** NUH's Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility runs the Clinic for Human Reproduction and does an average of about 400 fresh IVF cycles a year. When the three public centres were asked about waiting times in 2024, NUH gave the shortest answer of the three: an average of about nine days for subsidised patients and under seven days for private ones, against about two weeks to a first consultation at SGH. **The service list is the full public one:** IUI, IVF, ICSI, pre-implantation genetic testing, and embryo, oocyte and sperm cryopreservation, with a team of nine named specialists led by Professor P C Wong. Pre-implantation genetic testing for monogenic conditions and structural rearrangements carries its own 75% co-funding, capped per stage, for couples who are clinically eligible. If you are choosing between the three public centres, treat them as one price and pick on logistics: which one your referral is easiest to get into, which one you can reach for early-morning monitoring scans, and which consultant you want.

**Start with the confusion, because it is a real one.** SGH's public centre is called the Centre for Assisted Reproduction, shortened to CARE. There is also a private clinic in Novena called CARE IVF, which is a subsidiary of Singapore Women's and Children's Medical Group and has nothing to do with SGH. Only the SGH one carries the co-funding. If someone tells you they went to CARE, ask which one. **SGH's own page puts the centre at more than 30 years of experience and more than 2,500 babies born through assisted reproduction**, with the full range of assessment and ART procedures under one roof. It is the public centre that is changing the most: SGH is moving the centre to a new location inside the hospital compound in 2027 to fit more consultation rooms, a larger operating theatre and a laboratory with room for more incubators. On the co-funding, note the two rates most people miss. A Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident couple gets 55% capped at $5,700 a fresh cycle, and a Singapore Citizen and foreigner couple gets 35% capped at $3,600. The $7,700 number is for two citizens.

**This is the loudest price in the private market and the easiest one to misread.** Alpha's IVF Fertility Programme is $6,888 including GST for a single cycle, and Alpha spells out what that buys: oocyte retrieval, the anaesthetist's fee, operating theatre and recovery room use, laboratory charges, and embryo culture through to blastocyst stage. **Read the exclusion list, because it is where the rest of the cycle lives.** The programme excludes the first consultation, IVF counselling and the registration fee; it excludes blood tests, medications and any additional tests; and it does not name an embryo transfer. Medication alone commonly runs into four figures on a stimulated cycle. The programme is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and Alpha's doctors decide medical suitability after an individual assessment. **Where it genuinely wins is the retrieval stage.** Strip GST out and $6,888 is $6,319 of treatment. CARE IVF, the one private centre publishing a comparable line, charges $8,970 before GST for its retrieval step, which is $9,777 with GST. On that single step Alpha is close to $2,900 cheaper. Alpha also prices a fertility assessment at $590. The centre is at 101 Irrawaddy Road, Royal Square at Novena.

**Six numbers, all on one page, all before GST.** Comprehensive fertility screening with blood tests $420. Oocyte retrieval $8,970, which includes the specialist and anaesthetist fees, theatre and recovery, ICSI and blastocyst culture, and consumables. Fresh embryo transfer $2,130. Frozen embryo transfer $3,930. Elective egg freezing $5,500, with three years of storage inside the price. IUI $910. **Add the two steps of a fresh cycle and you get the most useful private figure in this guide:** $8,970 plus $2,130 is $11,100 before GST, or $12,099 with GST. That is the number to hold up against any package price you are quoted, because it is the same two procedures. **The frozen transfer is the line worth staring at.** At $3,930 it costs $1,800 more than a fresh transfer here, which is the opposite of the instinct that frozen must be the cheap option. At a public centre the frozen cycle is the one that carries the smaller subsidy too, capped at $2,200 rather than $7,700. CARE IVF is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Women's and Children's Medical Group and sits at 8 Sinaran Drive, Novena Specialist Centre, which is the same building as Sincere. It is an approved institution under MediSave and MediShield Life, so its nurses handle the MediSave claim. Prices are estimates and vary with what your specialist prescribes.

**Virtus is the most expensive published rate card here, and also the most transparent about it.** Egg retrieval is $10,200 to $10,800 before GST, printed on the page as $11,118 to $11,772 with GST, and that includes the specialist and anaesthetist fees, theatre and recovery, ICSI or IMSI, blastocyst culture, and 90 days of embryo freezing and storage. Embryo transfer is $4,400 to $6,100 before GST, or $4,752 to $6,588 with it. IUI is $880, or $950.40 with GST. The couples fertility health check, two appointments covering blood work, semen analysis with DNA fragmentation and a pelvic ultrasound, is $650 before GST. **A fresh cycle here is therefore $14,600 to $16,900 before GST, or about $15,914 to $18,421 with it.** That is $3,500 to $6,300 above CARE IVF's published equivalent, for a centre that includes IMSI and three months of embryo storage in the retrieval price. **The feature worth asking about is the payment mechanic, not the price.** Virtus offers gap-only payment when you claim MediSave, so you pay the difference between the total fee and the claimable MediSave amount rather than paying everything upfront and waiting for the reimbursement. On a first cycle that is $6,000 you do not have to find in cash. One wrinkle to know: the same page that prints the with-GST column also carries a footer saying all fees quoted exclude prevailing GST. The table is the one to read. The centre is at 9 Scotts Road, Scotts Medical Center at Pacific Plaza, and your first consultation happens at your specialist's own clinic, at a consultation fee that varies.

**Sincere is the only centre here that prices by protocol rather than by procedure.** Its Natural IVF package, meant for women with good ovarian reserve and regular cycles, is $11,833 before GST, which is $12,898 with GST. Its basic IVF package, aimed at women with mild fertility issues or slightly lower egg reserve, is $12,833 before GST, or $13,988 with it. The group's own guidance puts a single cycle in Singapore at $12,000 to $30,000 depending on the stimulation protocol, dosage, medical conditions and sperm health. **A package price is only useful if you know what it replaces.** Set the two against CARE IVF's published retrieval plus fresh transfer at $11,100 before GST and Sincere's natural cycle is $733 more, its basic package $1,733 more. Whether that is expensive depends entirely on what each includes, so ask for the inclusion list in writing before you compare, in particular whether medication and the embryo transfer sit inside or outside. Sincere Medical Specialist Center is at 8 Sinaran Drive, Novena Specialist Center, with its andrology laboratory two units down the same corridor, which matters if the male half of the workup is part of your investigation.

**Thomson is the largest private name here and the only one that publishes no rate card at all.** Its fertility pages set out the services in detail, from family planning and fertility preservation to a TCM-for-fertility programme run alongside the Western treatment and in-house counsellors for the emotional side, but no figure for a cycle, a retrieval or a transfer. Its own explainer on financing sends readers to MediSave and the co-funding scheme rather than to a price. **That is normal in this category rather than evasive, but it changes how you shop.** Go in with the two published benchmarks in hand, CARE IVF's $11,100 before GST for retrieval plus fresh transfer and Virtus's $14,600 to $16,900, and ask Thomson to quote against the same two procedures with the same GST basis. Ask specifically where medication, ICSI, blastocyst culture, embryo freezing and storage sit. **One thing Thomson does publish is worth reading anyway:** its note that MediShield Life does not cover fertility treatment at all, and that maternity riders that do cover ART pregnancies, such as Manulife ReadyMummy, PRUFirst Promise and Singlife MyMaternityPlan, usually impose waiting periods of about 12 months. If insurance is part of your plan, buy it well before the cycle, not during it.
