The discount is applied automatically in the cart; there is no code to type. Gain City bills it as "no cap on discounts", so the bigger the aircon system, the more comes off. By the $100-per-$900 rule, the $3,479 LG System 3 on the sale page works out to $300 off and the $4,329 Mitsubishi System 3 to $400 off.
The fridge result shows how the two tiers combine in practice: $1,399 came down by $140, which is one $900 block ($100) plus two $200 blocks ($40).
Climate Vouchers on top
Gain City's cart has a Climate Voucher field that takes up to $400, and both items we tested were flagged "eligible for climate voucher". Put the full $400 against the Mitsubishi System 2 and it is $2,039. For aircon, only 5-tick units qualify under the scheme. Vouchers give no change, so apply exactly what the eligible items are worth.
The fine print
- Online only. The terms say the promotion is valid exclusively on the Gain City online store. Showroom purchases and the Lenovo Exclusive Store are out.
- Aircon exclusions. Daikin and Fujitsu are not in, and neither is any System 1 unit.
- A long brand list is excluded elsewhere. Dyson, Roborock, Bosch, Miele, Hitachi, Fujioh, De Dietrich, Jura, Nescafé machines, Philips beauty, Stryv; Apple, HP, MSI and Microsoft laptops; Asus, Acer, Samsung and Lenovo monitors; Sealy, OSIM and Simmons bedding. Some of these, like the Bosch hob and Dyson vacuums, still sit on the Race to Save page at their own marked-down prices, but the extra spend discount will not apply.
- Not stackable. No other promo codes, pre-orders, newly launched models, discontinued models or limited-quantity advertised items.
- Cancellation fee. Cancel less than 48 hours before your delivery slot and Gain City may charge $30.
Tips
- Check out the aircon on its own. When we added the $1,399 fridge to a cart that already held the $2,739 aircon, the aircon's $300 discount vanished and the whole cart got only $140 off. Checked out separately, the same two items should come to $300 plus $140 off; in one order they got $140.
- Compare the installed price, not the sticker. Gain City's aircon prices include standard installation, but its piping allowance is 30 feet for System 1 and 50 feet for multi-split, with extra piping charged per foot. - Price the whole list before 4 October. The discount scales with spend, so a fridge and a washer bought in one order can clear another $200 block where two single orders would not. Just keep the aircon out of that basket.
