> Quick view: Disney Cruise Line said on 25 August 2026 that the Singapore-homeported Disney Adventure is getting its first ever port of call. Select 4-night sailings from 31 December 2026 through May 2027 will call at Langkawi, Malaysia, on day 3. Those sailings are on sale now. The 31 August / 8 September booking dates in the same announcement belong to a different season (Fall 2027 and Spring 2028), and Disney has not published which exact departure dates carry the Langkawi stop, or the fares.

Since the Disney Adventure started sailing out of Marina Bay, the one honest criticism of it has been that it does not actually go anywhere. Three nights or four, you left Singapore and you came back to Singapore, and everything in between was a day at sea. That changes at the end of the year.

What Disney announced

On 25 August 2026, in its official Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itinerary announcement, Disney Cruise Line wrote that the Disney Adventure "will continue sailing from Singapore with new three- and four-night itineraries from September to December 2027", and then added the line that matters here: "select sailings from December 31, 2026, through May 2027 will feature a new port of call: Langkawi, Malaysia."

Disney Cruise Line's own Singapore homepage has already been updated. There is a card on it headed "New! Discover Langkawi, Malaysia, on Select Sailings", which describes it as "our new 4-night itinerary aboard the Disney Adventure" and carries a Book Now button linking to a Langkawi-filtered list of sailings. In other words this is not a future on-sale. It is live.

The call falls on the third day of the 4-night itinerary.

The date almost every repost is getting wrong

The same Disney post says early bookings open for select Castaway Club members on 31 August and general bookings on 8 September at disneycruise.com. Those dates are being pinned to the Langkawi story, and they do not belong to it.

Here is the split:

WhatWhen it sailsWhen you book
Langkawi called at on select 4-night sailings31 Dec 2026 to May 2027On sale now
New 3- and 4-night Singapore itinerariesSep to Dec 2027Castaway Club (select tiers) 31 Aug 2026, everyone 8 Sep 2026

So if the Langkawi stop is the reason you are booking, you are not waiting for September. If you are planning a Singapore sailing for the tail end of 2027, that is the batch 8 September opens.

What day 3 actually looks like

Disney's line is that guests "will have the opportunity to explore Langkawi's lush rainforests and scenic coastline ashore". You can go ashore independently, or book a Port Adventure, which is Disney Cruise Line's shore-excursion programme run with independent third-party operators. Disney Cruise Line says to expect nature-based experiences, family-friendly activities, local crafts and cultural attractions, priced across a range rather than at one fixed rate.

Port Adventures are booked through My Reservations on the Disney Cruise Line website, the Navigator app, or the Port Adventures counter onboard.

What Disney has not published

Two gaps, and both matter before you pay:

  • Which exact departure dates carry the stop. "Select sailings" is doing a lot of work. Disney has not released a date list, so a 4-night cruise inside that window is not automatically a Langkawi cruise. Open the specific sailing and read its day-by-day itinerary.
  • Fares. Nothing in the announcement, and no price on the Singapore homepage card. There is also no published statement on what happens to a 4-night booking already made for that window, so if you are holding one, that is a question for Disney Cruise Line directly on +65 6228-3728.

What this means if you are booking from Singapore

  • Passports, not just ICs. Langkawi is a Malaysian port and you are going ashore, so everyone sailing needs a passport meeting whatever validity the cruise line specifies for the booking.
  • Coming home counts as arriving by sea. ICA exempts only transit passengers and residents crossing at Woodlands and Tuas. A cruise back into Singapore is not covered, so every person on board files an SG Arrival Card with the health declaration, within three days before arrival, and Singaporeans are included. It is free on ica.gov.sg. See ICA is rebuilding the SG Arrival Card for the trap with the 61 sites that charge for it.
  • 31 December is a school-holiday sailing. The first Langkawi call is on a New Year's Eve departure, which is exactly the week that prices and cabins move fastest.
  • Three nights buys you nothing new. The Langkawi addition is a 4-night thing. If you book the 3-night, you are still on the original days-at-sea product.
