Singapore's biggest home-grown restaurant group is doing National Day by the numbers — and one of the numbers is absurd. Suki-Ya is selling A5 Kagoshima Wagyu at $1.88 per 60g plate (usual $4.88) from 1–14 August 2026 — but only 61 plates a day, per outlet.

> Quick view: Suki-Ya A5 Kagoshima Wagyu $1.88++/60g plate, 1–14 Aug, 61 plates daily per outlet, max 2 per guest, with Premium Buffet · Tajimaya $61++ SG61 set (till 15 Aug) + $61++ dinner buffet (3–6 Aug, U.P. $69.90++) · Siam Kitchen $61++ set for 3–4 (Mon–Thu, all Aug) · Barossa $6.10++ add-on with 2 mains (Mon–Wed 5–8pm) · Bangkok Jam $6.10++ dessert + drink (Mon–Thu) · members: $61++ over first 2 visits + a Pepsi = $30 cashback vouchers · all prices before GST + service.

The headline: $1.88 A5 Kagoshima Wagyu at Suki-Ya

Suki-Ya's SG61 special is a 60g plate of A5 Kagoshima Wagyu at $1.88, down from its regular $4.88 — running 1 to 14 August 2026, at both lunch and dinner.

The mechanics matter more than the price here:

  • 61 plates per day, per outlet — first-come, first-served. That is the whole allocation, split across lunch and dinner service.
  • Maximum 2 promo plates per guest. Anything beyond that is charged at the usual $4.88.
  • It's an add-on, not a meal. You order it on top of the standard Premium Buffet, so the buffet price comes first.
  • No sharing, no transferring promo plates between diners at the table, and no table or bill splitting.
  • Suki-Ya's standing $5 per 100g wastage fee on unfinished food still applies.
  • Prices are before GST and service charge.

Tajimaya: $61++ set till 15 Aug, $61++ buffet 3–6 Aug

Sister brand Tajimaya Yakiniku is running two SG61 offers at its Great World (#B1-115) outlet:

  1. SG61 Prestige Miyazaki Set — $61++, till 15 August 2026: 60g A5 Miyazaki striploin, 60g Australian wagyu short ribs, unlimited sides, and one dessert per person.
  2. Dinner Buffet Flash Sale — $61++ per person (U.P. $69.90++), 3–6 August 2026 only.

Both are dine-in only, can't be combined with other discounts, vouchers or corporate offers, and are quoted before 9% GST and 10% service charge. We covered the Prestige set in detail when it launched — see Tajimaya's SG61 Miyazaki Set.

Siam Kitchen: $61++ National Day set for 3–4 people

Siam Kitchen's National Day Set Menu is $61++ for a spread the restaurant values at over $80, sized for 3 to 4 people:

  • Thai spring rolls (4pc)
  • Steamed seabass with chilli lime dressing
  • Green curry with chicken or tofu
  • Kailan with mushroom
  • Free-flow jasmine rice
  • Red ruby dessert
  • Unlimited Thai iced tea or lemongrass tea

Valid 1–31 August 2026, Monday to Thursday, dine-in only, one set per table, no bill splitting, and not combinable with other promotions or vouchers. Items may be substituted if ingredients run out. The HomeTeamNS Khatib outlet is MUIS halal-certified.

The two $6.10++ deals

Barossa Steak & Grill (VivoCity #01-161/162) — buy any two qualifying mains (from Mains, Josper Individual or the Pasta Selection) and add one premium side, drink or dessert for $6.10: Summer Berry Fizz mocktail, straight-cut fries or nacho chips, or Tiramisu Classico. 1–31 August, but only Mondays to Wednesdays, 5pm–8pm.

Bangkok Jam (Great World #02-127) — order any rice or noodle dish and add a **dessert *and* a drink for $6.10 total. 1–31 August, Mondays to Thursdays, all day**. This is the more flexible of the two: no minimum of two mains, no narrow evening window.

The group-wide bit: $30 cashback, and an iPhone 17

Running 1 July to 31 August 2026 across Tajimaya, Suki-Ya, Typhoon Cafe, Barossa, Vineyard, Tanglin Cookhouse, Bangkok Jam, Sarai, Siam Kitchen and Suki Suki HotPot:

  • Be a registered Creative Eateries member.
  • Spend a cumulative minimum $61++ across your first two transactions.
  • Buy at least one Pepsi beverage during the qualifying period.
  • Get $30 in cashback vouchers — issued as 2 x $15 by 14 September 2026, valid 14 Sep–31 Oct 2026, dine-in only.
  • The top three cumulative spenders each win an iPhone 17 (announced by 30 September 2026).

Doesn't count: third-party delivery platforms, group bookings of 10 or more, and bill splitting. Dine-in, takeaway, pick-up and the group's own direct delivery do count.

How to play it

  1. If you want the wagyu, go on a weekday, early in the service. 61 plates has to cover both lunch and dinner at each outlet — at a busy mall branch that clears long before closing. The first days of August will be the worst.
  2. Do the maths on the buffet first. The $1.88 is only worth crossing town for if you were going to eat a Premium Buffet anyway; two plates per person is 120g of wagyu, not a meal.
  3. Siam Kitchen is the actual value play for a group — $61++ for a 3–4 person spread beats most weekday set menus, and Mon–Thu is easy to book.
  4. Bangkok Jam beats Barossa on flexibility. Both are $6.10++, but Bangkok Jam needs one main and runs all day Mon–Thu; Barossa needs two mains and only works 5–8pm, Mon–Wed.
  5. Register as a member before your first visit, and put a Pepsi on one of your first two bills — otherwise the $30 cashback quietly doesn't happen.
