The offer
The poster frames it as the neighbourhood rag-and-bone man with a pink Ninja truck, and BEST lays out four steps:
- Find the Ninja truck at BEST Denki, SAFRA Toa Payoh (or listen for the Karung Guni jingle).
- Bring your old frying appliance. Any brand, any condition. The poster shows an air fryer, a frying pan and a wok.
- Receive your trade-in coupon for $100 off the Ninja CRISPi Pro.
- Enter the sure-win lucky draw, with up to $5,000 worth of SharkNinja products to be won.
What $100 off works out to. BEST Denki's online store lists the CRISPi Pro (AS101) at $499 in four colours: Rose Quartz, Cyberspace, Bone White and Ash Grey. Ninja's own Singapore store has the same $499, so the trade-in brings it to $399. BEST's product page also lists a free Ninja CleanCrisp glassware set worth $49.99 with the machine, while stocks last.
The CRISPi Pro is Ninja's glass air fryer: the heating unit sits on top of a glass dish instead of a non-stick basket, with a 5.7L and a 2.3L glass container in the box, six functions (Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, ReCrisp, Bake/Prove and Dehydrate) and up to 240°C.
Also on at the roadshow: other Ninja and Shark kitchen and home products, free food sampling from Friday to Sunday (2-4 October), and The Pantry Boy in person on Saturday 3 October, 2pm to 4pm.
The fine print
- CRISPi Pro only. The $100 trade-in discount is valid for the Ninja CRISPi Pro glass air fryer model only. It does not apply to the cheaper CRISPi (non-Pro), which BEST sells at $269, or to other Ninja and Shark products.
- Limited coupons. Trade-in redemption is in limited quantities, first come, first served, while stocks last.
- One unit per customer.
- At the SAFRA Toa Payoh roadshow only. This is the final stop, so there is no later venue to catch it at.
- Hours not published. BEST has not put opening hours on the poster. Its previous SAFRA Toa Payoh roadshow ran 10am to 9pm daily, so call ahead if you plan to go late.
- Other T&Cs apply, per BEST's poster.
Tips
- Go early in the week. Coupons are first come, first served, and the Friday-to-Sunday sampling and Saturday's Pantry Boy session will draw the biggest crowds.
- Confirm the glassware at the counter. The free $49.99 CleanCrisp set is listed on BEST's product page, not on the Karung Guni poster, so check it comes with the trade-in price before you pay.
- Clean out the kitchen cupboard first. A worn non-stick pan counts as a frying appliance on the poster, so you do not need a dead air fryer to qualify.
- Compare against a basket fryer. At $399 the CRISPi Pro is still well above the $129 to $149 Ninja basket models, and our air fryer guide has the cheaper options if glass is not a must.
