Sheng Siong Raises Its CHAS Discount to 6%: Blue on Thursdays, Orange on Fridays, Capped at $200 a Receipt
Sheng Siong put a new poster on its own promotions page on 10 September 2026, lifting the discount for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders from 4% to 6% and running it through to 1 January 2027. The day decides everything. Blue cardholders get their 6% every Thursday, Orange cardholders every Friday, and the two do not swap. Today, Thursday 10 September, is day one and it is a Blue day. That counts out to 17 qualifying Thursdays for Blue, ending 31 December 2026, and 17 Fridays for Orange, ending on New Year's Day itself. The cap is the number reposts drop: the poster says a maximum spending of $200 per receipt per day, so 6% of $200 is $12 and that is all one day can return. Two things worth knowing before you go. The two-week store advertisement running right now, 4 to 17 September, still prints 4% in its footer, because it went to print a week before the new poster. And the 4% senior discount did not move at all: it is still 4%, still Tuesdays and Wednesdays, still to 31 December 2026. If you hold a CHAS card and a senior concession, your big shop belongs on Thursday or Friday now.

Cheapest Supermarket in Singapore 2026: Sheng Siong vs FairPrice vs Giant vs Cold Storage, and Where CDC Vouchers Stretch Furthest
Eight supermarket chains, re-checked against their own official pages on 13 October 2026. In October CHAS cardholders get 6% at all three big chains, on Thursdays for Blue and Fridays for Orange: Sheng Siong and FairPrice to 1 January 2027, and Giant from 1 to 30 October after its every-day September round ended on 25 September. Sheng Siong is still the cheapest place to buy staples, and its 4% senior discount runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, not daily. Giant's weekend card deals ($5 off $50, $8 off $80) run to 25 October, Cold Storage's $7 off $80 ended on 18 October, and Sheng Siong now has its own: $8 off $80 every weekend with the BOC Sheng Siong Card to 31 January 2027. Plus Scarlett for China-imported snacks, Mustafa for 24/7 bulk, Don Don Donki for Japanese, and the CDC voucher rule that trips everyone up.
