Guardian's Holland & Barrett 3-for-2 Ends 30 Sep 2026: We Ran It Through the Cart, and 14 of the 57 Lines In Stock Are Not In It
Guardian's Holland & Barrett banner sells one line, Mix & Match 3 for 2, and runs it from 27 August to 30 September 2026 as a Guardian exclusive. We put it through Guardian's own cart on 20 September to see what it pays out. It works as written: the cheapest of your three comes off, at the original shelf price, so a basket of Omega 3 Fish Oil at $101.90, Friendly Bacteria 100 Billion at $99.90 and Marine Collagen Tropical at $89.90 drops from $291.70 to $201.80. What the banner does not say is that 14 of the 57 Holland & Barrett lines in stock carry no 3-for-2 at all, and most of those are on something better: seven snack lines are Buy 1 Get 1, which is half off a pair rather than a third off three, and six supplements sat on 2nd Buy at $0.10, where a second $64.90 Cholestaguard rang up at exactly ten cents. Two more things before you build a basket. Mix & Match is not limited to the brand, because Guardian's own catalogue puts 2,121 products in the same promotion, which is how two $239 Bionike creams and one $27.90 Holland & Barrett tub triggered it in our cart. And Home Delivery adds $8 even to a $299 order, while Express Click & Collect is free.

LAC's 9.9 Sale Ends 10 Sep: The Rebate Ladder Pays 3% at $299, but $20 More Spend Turns It Into a Free Second Bottle
LAC has a 9.9 Sale running on lac.sg to Thursday 10 September 2026, and its own category page publishes the whole ladder in one line: Buy 1 Free 1 with $319 spend, then a $9 rebate at $299, $19 at $499, $39 at $699 and $99 at $999. Do the division and the rebate is the weakest thing on the poster. Nine dollars off $299 is 3.0%, and even the top tier only reaches 9.9%. The number that actually matters is $319. Stop at $299 and you take $9. Spend $20 more and a second copy of an item already in your basket comes free, which on LAC's $96.76 member-priced Probiotic Complex is $96.76 plus the $9 you still qualify for, or about a third off the basket. Two more things the write-ups miss. Below $299 the 9.9 sale pays nothing at all, while LAC's separate World Heart Day codes take 38% off any three supplements with no minimum spend, so small baskets should ignore 9.9 entirely. And the in-store version of this sale is worse than the online one: the brand's own poster prices the second same supplement at $9.90 in store, against free on the website.
