Trapped is the horror specialist of Singapore's escape rooms: seven 75-minute rooms at The Centrepoint with live actors in several of them, and a published 17% survival rate it wears as a badge. It is also, it turns out, cheaper than anyone says, including its own website.
The rate card nobody prints
Trapped's site describes $38.90 a person as the standard price, and every roundup we have seen, ours included until today, repeats it as a flat rate with no off-peak tier. The booking engine disagrees. Checked slot by slot on 2 November 2026, across multiple dates:
| When | List rate | Via trapped.sg's own buttons | With a member code (min 4 pax) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekdays before 6pm (off-peak) | $32.90 | $28.90 | $27.90 |
| Weekday evenings from 6pm, weekends, public holidays | $38.90 | $34.90 | $33.90 |
Every room, every slot we checked, priced identically: the seven rooms share one rate card.
The hidden $4: the site discounts itself
The middle column is the quiet one. The Book Now buttons on trapped.sg do not link the booking engine bare: they pass it a house promotion code automatically. With it, the engine shows the list price struck through on every slot and charges $4 less per person, $28.90 off-peak and $34.90 peak. There is no banner, no printed terms and nothing to show at the counter; it simply applies if you arrive through the site's own buttons.
Two practical notes. First, because there are no published terms, treat it as withdrawable at any time: if the strikethrough prices do not show when you book, it is gone. Second, do not type anything into the promotion field, because entering another code replaces it.
The five $5 member codes
Running alongside, and published properly on trapped.sg/promotions, are five membership offers worth $5 off per person on a minimum of four players, all valid to 31 December 2026: SAFRA (code SAFRA5), HomeTeamNS (HTNS5), PAssion card (PASSION5), nEbO (NEBO5) and a meRewards e-voucher. Each works online or at the counter, each needs the matching physical card shown before payment, and none of them stack with each other, with the student rate or with the $4 house discount. For a group of four cardholders on an off-peak slot, that is $27.90 each, the cheapest Trapped gets.
Students have their own lane: $10 off the standard rate daily after 6pm, excluding public holidays, which is $28.90 in exactly the hours everyone else pays peak. School uniforms are not allowed unless you are there as an organised school activity.
What you are booking
The seven rooms are The Cursed Video Tape and The Insidious Hostel Warlock (horror), The Attic and The Great Escape (suspense), Ravenhill Asylum (investigation), The Salem Experiment (sci-fi), and The Alchemist's Cabinet of Curiosities (magic). Games run 75 minutes, the longest of the major operators, and most rooms take up to 12 players (10 for The Cursed Video Tape and The Salem Experiment).
Worth knowing
- Minimum three paying players at every hour. A pair pays three shares; see the FAQ for the exact math.
- The Salem Experiment and The Great Escape need at least three actual players, not just three paid shares.
- Hours: 11am to 10pm daily. Off-peak is strictly weekdays before 6pm; weekends and public holidays are peak all day.
- Payment on site is cash or NETS; corporates can use GeBIZ e-invoice, cheque or GIRO.
- The Centrepoint, 176 Orchard Road, #03-26, three minutes from Somerset MRT. Tel +65 6994 3430.
