ibis Singapore on Bencoolen has taken the humble afternoon coffee break and dressed it up as a full high tea — with a KITKAT collaboration for the sweet finish.
Called TASTE the Break: High Tea Made with KITKAT, it runs at the hotel's ground-floor TASTE Restaurant and is priced at S$60++ for two guests, served daily from 2pm to 5pm, 3 August to 31 December 2026.
What two guests get
A welcome drink each. Pick between a KITKAT Mocha with Pistachio (chocolate and coffee with a nutty pistachio note) or a Shaken Yuzu Americano (black coffee brightened with citrusy yuzu).
Six Asian-inspired savoury bites to share:
- Smoked Salmon & Chuka Salsa with Baguette
- Braised Top Shell with Spicy Kimchi Sauce
- Tamagoyaki Croissant
- Texas Chicken with Curry Sauce
- Tempura Ebi with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce
- Smoked Duck Spring Roll with Hoisin Sauce
And two KITKAT desserts — this is where the collaboration lands:
- A shared Made with KITKAT Chocolate Bar Mousse Cake (Classic) to split between the two of you
- An individual Made with KITKAT Apple Crumble for each guest
Is it worth it?
At S$30 a head, you are getting a welcome drink, a shared six-item savoury spread and two desserts in a hotel restaurant — which undercuts a lot of hotel high teas in town. It leans savoury and single-serving rather than a grand tiered-stand affair, so think of it as an easy, well-priced afternoon catch-up with a fun KITKAT dessert hook, rather than a special-occasion blowout.
