Starbucks opened its first Singapore store in 1996. On 8 September 2026 it announced how it is marking 30 years, and the honest summary is that three separate things land inside a week, only one of them is a discount, and the most useful number in the whole campaign was not in the announcement at all.
> Quick view: 9 Sep the Jay Chou collection ($49.90 a tumbler, $59.90 the 31.5oz cold cup, online store from 10am, LazMall from 12pm, 25 named stores) and the Pumpkin Spice range both arrive. 15 Sep the Peanuts collection, limit 2 per item. The 30th anniversary contest is already open and runs to 31 Dec 2026.

The prices nobody printed
Every write-up published on 8 September said the same thing: the Jay Chou prices had not been announced. They are, however, sitting in plain sight on Starbucks Singapore's own online store, where all three pieces are already staged with a launch timestamp.
| Piece | Size | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Jay Chou + Starbucks Stainless Steel Tumbler Lyrics White | 16.5oz | $49.90 |
| Jay Chou + Starbucks Stainless Steel Tumbler Lyrics Black | 16.5oz | $49.90 |
| Jay Chou + Starbucks Stainless Steel Cold Cup Black | 31.5oz | $59.90 |
All three carry the same label: "Launching on 09 Sep 2026, 10:00 AM". The set costs $159.70. For context, that is ordinary Starbucks Singapore drinkware pricing rather than a collaboration premium: the store's current stainless steel tumblers run $46.90 to $56.90, so the cold cup is the only piece priced above the usual band, and it is also the biggest.
One small thing worth knowing before you compare listings: Starbucks' own page prints the black tumbler as "16.05 oz" and the white one as "16.5oz". They are the same size, and that is a typo on their side.
What you actually get
The announcement calls this a three-piece collection and separately mentions keychains and pouches, which reads as though there are more items to buy. There are not. Starbucks' own product photography shows the accessories attached to the drinkware:
- Both lyric tumblers ship with a braided "JAY" cord charm carrying a small Siren medallion
- The cold cup comes in a black printed gift box and is photographed with a chain-strap mini pouch
- The designs use printed lyric lines and piano and music motifs, in pink on the white tumbler and gold on the black one
The cold cup is the handled, straw-topped 31.5oz shape, so it is the one to pick if you want the large everyday cup rather than the commuter tumbler.
Where and when
The Jay Chou collection goes on sale 9 September 2026 through three channels: selected stores from opening, the Starbucks Online Store from 10am, and LazMall from 12pm, while stocks last.
Starbucks named 25 stores: 37 Smith Street, Airport Terminal 2, Bugis Junction, Century Square, City Square Mall, Concourse, Gardens By The Bay, ION Orchard, Jewel 2, Jurong Point, Marina Bay Sands, NEX, North Point City, One Fullerton, Paragon, Paya Lebar Square, Plaza Singapura, Raffles City Level 2, Takashimaya, Terminal 3 Departure, Transit North 2, Universal Studio, VivoCity 3, Weave Resorts World Sentosa and West Gate.
Count that list as 21 rather than 25 when you plan. Terminal 3 Departure and Transit North 2 are past immigration and need a boarding pass, Universal Studio needs a park ticket, and Weave Resorts World Sentosa sits inside the resort. If you are not flying or going to the park, the online store at 10am is the more realistic route.
Pumpkin Spice returns the same day
The seasonal range comes back on 9 September 2026 for a limited time. The announcement lists five drinks; Starbucks' own seasonal menu currently lists six, because the Latte appears in both hot and iced form:
- Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Pumpkin Spice Oatmilk Iced Shaken Latte
- Pumpkin Spice Coffee Frappuccino
- Pumpkin Spice Cream Cold Brew
- Pumpkin Spice Cream Nitro Cold Brew
Two caveats, both from Starbucks' own pages. The Nitro version is marked "available at selected stores only", and it is the single item left off delivery: the rest of the range is on Mobile Order & Pay, GrabFood and foodpanda, the Nitro is not. Starbucks Singapore does not publish beverage prices on its menu pages, but its own eGift catalogue prices a Caffè Latte at $7.80 and a Caramel Macchiato at $8.70, which is the band to expect.
Peanuts lands 15 September
The Peanuts + Starbucks Collection arrives on 15 September 2026 in stores and on LazMall from 12pm. It is a 10-piece collection tied to the 60th anniversary of the 1966 Halloween special, built around the Great Pumpkin. The pieces flagged by Starbucks are a limited-edition Snoopy Glass Cold Cup with a Woodstock straw topper, a pumpkin-coloured hat and a green scarf, and a die-cut Snoopy Starbucks Card showing Snoopy serving a drink on a pumpkin.
Purchases are limited to two pieces per item per customer, while stocks last. Note that this collection is listed for stores and LazMall only, not the Starbucks Online Store, and it has not been staged on the online store the way the Jay Chou pieces have.
The contest is already open
This is the part the coverage gets wrong. Reports say memories can be shared "from 9 September 2026". Starbucks' own campaign terms say the period runs 5 September to 31 December 2026, and the microsite at starbuckssingapore30th.com is live and accepting entries today.
What the terms add that the announcement does not:
- Open to Singapore residents aged 18 and above
- Starbucks will select up to thirty submissions, one for each year, judged on creativity, originality, emotional resonance and relevance
- You may submit multiple stories
- The prize, confirmed on Starbucks' own campaign artwork: 30 free handcrafted drinks plus an exclusive 30th Anniversary gift
- The universal "mystery thank-you treat" is worded far more softly in the terms than in the announcement. Entrants "may receive one randomly generated promotional voucher", with voucher type, redemption conditions and validity all at Starbucks' sole discretion, and Starbucks reserves the right to substitute or withdraw it
Practical notes before you write anything: the microsite is built for a phone held upright, your story is capped at 250 characters, and a photo is optional but Starbucks says uploading one gives you a higher chance of being selected (5MB max, square works best).
One clause deserves a read rather than a tick. By entering, you grant Starbucks a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free and sublicensable licence to publish your story, and the terms specifically allow Starbucks to "edit, shorten, embellish, adapt" and dramatise it, and to use your first name, initials, location and likeness in advertising. If your memory involves other people, that is worth a thought before you submit it.
The one that will not stack
Starbucks' 25% off storewide voucher is live to 13 September 2026, which overlaps the Jay Chou launch by five days. It will not help you here. The voucher's own artwork excludes brand collaboration merchandise and names Jay Chou and Mofusand outright, alongside mooncake gift boxes, Reserve and Weave exclusives, and engraving. It also cannot be combined with any other promotion or reward.
The Peanuts collection lands on 15 September, two days after that voucher expires, so it misses the window entirely.
