Singapore Airlines has opened a short Great Fares sale for travellers leaving Singapore: Economy return fares from SGD198, all-in with taxes and surcharges, bookable until Wednesday 7 October 2026. Outbound travel runs in selected periods up to 31 March 2027, which covers the December school holidays and Chinese New Year if your dates are not blacked out.
> Quick view: SIA Economy return from S$198, book 29 Sep to 7 Oct 2026, outbound travel to 31 Mar 2027, 24 cities. Phuket S$268, Da Nang S$308, Sydney S$588, Paris/Munich S$998, Madrid S$1,098. Blackouts apply. The Mastercard S$50 KrisPay bonus needs the trip itself to finish by 7 Oct.
Where you can fly
This round is far narrower than August's sale, which covered more than 70 destinations. SIA's offers page lists 24 cities:
| Region | Cities |
|---|---|
| Southeast Asia | Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok, Phuket, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City |
| West Asia | Male (Maldives) |
| Southwest Pacific | Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney |
| Europe | Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, London, Manchester |
No Japan, Korea, China, India or US routes are in this sale.
Sample fares
SIA's sale email names these Economy return fares from Singapore, per person, including taxes and surcharges:
| Destination | From |
|---|---|
| Phuket | S$268 |
| Da Nang | S$308 |
| Sydney | S$588 |
| Munich | S$998 |
| Paris | S$998 |
| Madrid | S$1,098 |
These are "from" prices. When we opened SIA's Thailand page on 1 October, the live search showed Phuket at SGD267 for a 21 to 27 February trip, so the floor is real, but other dates can price well above it.
The fine print
- Blackout dates and limited seats. SIA says travel is for "selected periods only", so peak dates may not show the sale fare at all.
- Return bookings. The advertised fares are return fares that include associated taxes and surcharges.
- SAF levy for 2027 trips. Singapore's new Sustainable Aviation Fuel levy applies to tickets sold from 1 October 2026 for flights departing from 1 January 2027. In Economy that is S$1 to Southeast Asia, S$2.80 to Australia and the Maldives, and S$6.40 to Europe. It is small, but it sits on top of any quote you saw in September.
- Mastercard S$50 KrisPay bonus. Spend S$1,000 on a KrisFlyer UOB Mastercard or S$1,200 on another Mastercard, book a new all-SIA return or multi-city ticket from Singapore, and register on SIA's form. Only the first 200 eligible people get it, you must be a Singapore resident aged 18+ with a Kris+ account, and the travel dates must also fall between 29 September and 7 October. Miles land by 31 December 2026 and expire six months later.
- Card codes. DBS50OFF only returns on 13 October at 10am, after the sale. HSBCDEAL's monthly quota reset on 29 September and excludes Southeast Asia. Citi Prestige cardholders can try CITIPRESTIGE60 (S$60 off each Economy return).
Tips before you book
- Search flexible dates first. Use the fare calendar on singaporeair.com and shift by a day or two; the gap between a sale date and a blacked-out one can be hundreds of dollars.
- Europe is the standout. S$998 return to Paris or Munich on a full-service carrier is a strong price for travel to March. Compare it with KLM and the travel booking sites in our guide before paying.
- Short-haul is less exciting. Phuket at S$268 is fine, but budget carriers often go lower for the same dates. Check what checked baggage and seat selection would add on the alternative.
- Pay with a miles card. SIA's sale FAQ covers whether each promotional fare earns KrisFlyer miles, so check it, and either way the card itself still earns on the spend.
