THE MATHS, DONE HONESTLY
- Two adults: $46++ under the 1-for-1, which is $55.15 nett after the 10% service charge and 9% GST, or about $27.60 per adult
- Child 7-11: $18++ each, about $21.60 nett
- Kids 1-6: free
- The realistic minimum: the deal requires 4 adults, so a booking starts at 2 x $46++, roughly $110.30 nett for four
For a sit-down Chinese buffet in the high-tea slot, under $28 nett an adult is solid; most hotel high teas in our high tea roundup start north of $40 before any 1-for-1.
WHAT THE DEAL LOOKS LIKE
It is Peach Garden's Weekend High Tea Buffet, served 3pm to 5pm on weekends at the Thomson Plaza outlet only; the other five Peach Garden outlets (OCBC Centre, Chinatown Point, The Metropolis, The Heeren, Changi Airport T2) do not run it. The buffet spread is the restaurant's Chinese line-up: dim sum, roast meats and cooked dishes from the flyer's spread, with dishes subject to the day's rotation.

- Minimum 4 adults per booking, so it is a family-or-group deal, not a date deal
- Advance reservation is required, and you must quote the promotion when you book and present it before ordering and payment
- No stacking: not valid with any other promotion, discount, voucher, credit card, payment platform or membership offer
