McDonald's Singapore is giving kids a free Vanilla Cone for filling in a Children's Day Promise Bookmark, and letting them build their own three-item meal, from 24 September to 7 October 2026.

The offer
The campaign is called My McDonald's, My Way, and it is built around letting children make the choices. There are two parts.
1. Promise Bookmark, for a free Vanilla Cone. McDonald's page lays it out in four steps:
- Ask the staff for a Promise Bookmark.
- Let your kid choose how they want to celebrate. The prompts on the bookmark include a play date, visiting McDonald's more times, taking a trip, or an idea of their own.
- Seal the deal with a signature. There are lines for the parent and the child.
- Show the sheet to the staff for a free Vanilla Cone.
2. Build My Meal. Kids mix and match their own three-item meal from their favourite items, and McDonald's stresses that desserts count, so a burger, fries and a Sundae is fair game where a standard kids' set would force a drink. It is ordered only at the Self-Ordering Kiosk or via Mobile Order in the McDonald's app, not at the counter.
The fine print
- Dates. 24 September to 7 October 2026. Children's Day itself is Friday 2 October, a school holiday for primary schools but not a public holiday.
- Six outlets have no bookmark. McDonald's NTU, Temasek Polytechnic, Caltex Dunearn, Shell Tampines, Shell Hougang and Shell Havelock are excluded from the Promise Bookmark.
- No price for Build My Meal. McDonald's has not published one, so the kiosk or app total is the price. Compare it with a regular Happy Meal before you pay.
- Kiosk or app only for Build My Meal. Counter orders and McDelivery are not mentioned.
- Terms apply. McDonald's says the activities are subject to its terms and conditions, and it did not publish a per-child limit on the cones.
Tips
- Go on a weekday afternoon. Children's Day and the weekend of 3-4 October will be the busiest days at family outlets.
- Pair it with the current Happy Meal. The SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal toys run until 14 October, so a family visit can cover both.
- Build the meal in the app first. Mobile Order shows the total before you commit, which is the easiest way to check the price McDonald's has not published.
- Petrol-station and campus outlets are out. If you usually stop at a Shell or Caltex McDonald's, pick a mall or neighbourhood restaurant for the bookmark.
