Singapore Airlines has opened the October round of KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes: 30% off Saver award rates on its own list of flights and 15% off on Scoot's list, for tickets issued by Wednesday 30 September 2026 and flown between 1 and 31 October 2026.

The offer
Singapore Airlines' promotion page lists every eligible flight number, the miles after the discount and the blackout dates for each direction. Scoot runs its half on flyscoot.com with a separate list. All figures below are one-way, per person, after the discount, from both official pages as checked on 27 September.

In Premium Economy, the list runs from Hong Kong at 19,600 through Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai and Delhi at 25,200 and Johannesburg at 36,050, to Europe at 52,150 (Frankfurt has no blackout dates) and New York at 59,150, all outbound except Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai and Delhi, which also have a discounted return. There is also a fifth-freedom oddity: Frankfurt to New York and back at 39,900 each way in Premium Economy.

What changed since September
The direction of the long-hauls has flipped. In September, London, Paris and Milan were discounted only on the flight back to Singapore, and Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney only on the way out. In October it is the other way round: every European city on SIA's list is outbound only, and Australia is inbound only apart from Darwin. For a traveller starting in Singapore, Europe is the easier trip this month: London Heathrow at 30,800 miles has only seven blacked-out days (1-3, 12, 17 and 30-31 October).
Scoot has added long-haul. Athens and Vienna at 20,400 miles one-way are about two-thirds of SIA's 30,800 to Europe, though there is no discounted flight home on either.
Melbourne works as a mixed trip. Scoot's TR38 to Melbourne is 10,625 miles from 22 October, and SIA's SQ228 home is 20,300 on 12-15, 19-22 or 26-29 October. Out on Thursday 22 October and back on Monday 26 October comes to 30,925 miles, against about 41,500 at the usual Saver rates. Book them as two one-way tickets on the two airlines' sites.
The fine print
- Deadline is Wednesday 30 September, 11.59pm local time. Every flight must be between 1 and 31 October 2026.
- Online only. SIA flights on singaporeair.com or the SingaporeAir app; Scoot flights on flyscoot.com or the Scoot app with your KrisFlyer login. KrisFlyer Membership Services, ticket offices and travel agents cannot book it.
- One bad flight voids the lot. If any flight in the itinerary is not on the list, or falls outside October, the whole itinerary loses the discount. For a return, both flight numbers must be on the list. Split the booking when in doubt.
- No changes, no refunds. Changes are not permitted, and cancellation is not allowed for used or unused tickets.
- Taxes and fees are extra and are not discounted. On Scoot, bags, meals and seats are paid add-ons too.
- No waitlist and no stopovers. Seats are limited and first-come, first-served, and the award must be ticketed in the same session.
- Miles only. Miles-plus-cash tickets and codeshare flights are excluded.
Tips
- Look for the Promo column. On singaporeair.com, log in, choose Redeem flights, and pick flights under the Promo fare column; the discount shows in the booking summary.
- Start from the clean routes. In SIA Economy, Ho Chi Minh City, Colombo and Dhaka have no blackout dates in either direction. In Business, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City at 17,500 each way have none either. On Scoot, Penang, Ipoh, Melaka, Krabi, Belitung, Pekanbaru, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Koh Samui, Nha Trang and Guiyang are open every day of the month.
- Watch China's Golden Week. Several Scoot China routes only open outbound on 1-2 October (Guangzhou and Xi'an among them), which is the first days of the national holiday.
- No new flight levy. Singapore's SAF levy only applies to tickets sold from 1 October for flights from 1 January 2027, so these award tickets are not affected. Our SAF levy explainer has the details.
