Golden Village is selling a single Fans' Screening of Detective Conan the Movie: Fallen Angel of the Highway on Saturday 5 September 2026 at GV Cineleisure, and every ticket comes with a bag of merch rather than just a seat.
> Quick view: $50 a ticket · GV Cineleisure only · Sat 5 Sep, sessions 2.00pm and 2.15pm · premiums from 1pm at Level 6 Foyer · T-shirt, metal badge, 6-design ticket set, A5 card, A3 poster · mascot photo ops 12.45pm and 1.30pm · no discounts, no vouchers, no refunds.
What the $50 actually buys
One ticket entitles the holder to all five premiums, per GV's own listing:
- 1 x T-shirt
- 1 x Metal Badge
- 1 x Collectible Ticket Set (6 designs)
- 1 x A5 Illustration Card
- 1 x A3 Poster
On top of that, the Detective Conan character mascots appear at the Level 6 Foyer from 12.45pm to 1pm and again from 1.30pm to 1.45pm, with the photo opportunity first come, first served for ticket holders. Premium collection itself opens at 1pm, also at the Level 6 Foyer.
The number worth doing
GV publishes its full price table, and it is the honest benchmark here. At a traditional GV cinema, a standard 2D ticket on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday is $16.00 (weekdays are $11.50, or $12.00 for first-week titles; GVmax Dolby Atmos runs $17.50 at weekends).
So the fans' ticket is $34 above a normal Saturday seat, and that $34 is the price of the five premiums. Split across the bundle it is not outrageous for an anime merch drop, but it is worth seeing the figure plainly rather than reading "$50, merch included" and moving on.
The catch nobody is printing
The obvious counter-move is to skip the premium screening and catch the film on a regular ticket later. Right now you cannot plan that.
Distributor Odex has announced *Fallen Angel of the Highway*, the franchise's 29th film, for Singapore and confirmed it will screen exclusively at Golden Village, but it has not announced an opening date. Odex's own website carries pages for the earlier Conan films and none for this one. And when we checked GV's Advance Sales and Coming Soon listings on 27 August 2026, the fans' screening was the *only* Detective Conan entry in the system.
That makes this $50 session, at the moment, the only Detective Conan booking open anywhere in Singapore.
The fine print, which is unusually tight
- No discounts at all. GV's terms: not eligible for any discounts and/or use with discount vouchers.
- No credit card offers. Not valid for the HSBC Movie card or other credit card offers.
- No GV paper. Not valid for GV movie vouchers, complimentary tickets or VIP passes.
- No refunds or exchanges on tickets, and no exchange of premiums.
- The IMDA rating is final, and GV reserves the right to refuse admission and to amend terms without notice.
For completeness: the GV Movie Club $2 off would not have helped either, since it runs Mondays and Tuesdays only and excludes premium-priced programmes and event screenings. The senior citizen $5 rate is weekdays before 6pm and excludes premieres and premium-priced programmes.
One saving that does work
GV charges a $2.50 convenience fee per transaction for tickets bought on gv.com.sg or the iGV app at traditional cinemas. The box office does not charge it. Two practical consequences: buying at the counter saves $2.50, and if you are booking online for two or more people, keep it to a single transaction so the fee lands once.
Practical notes
- The film runs 109 minutes, in Japanese with English subtitles.
- GV's listing carries a PG rating with the advice "Some Violence".
- Saturday 5 September is the first Saturday of the September school holidays (5 to 13 Sep), so Cineleisure will be busy independently of this screening.
- Arriving around 12.40pm covers the first mascot window and the front of the collection queue.
