> Quick view: *To Leslie With Love: Days Of Being Wild In 4K*, GV exclusive, Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026, $22 flat, four cinemas, 10 sessions, original Cantonese with English and Chinese subtitles, PG, 95 minutes. Every ticket comes with a commemorative A3 poster. Tickets went on sale at 3pm on 2 September.
Golden Village has put **Wong Kar Wai's *Days Of Being Wild* (1990) back on the big screen in a 4K restoration**, billed as *To Leslie With Love* and timed to the 70th birthday of Leslie Cheung. It is a GV exclusive and a short one: three days, four cinemas, then it is gone. Ticket sales opened at 3pm on Tuesday 2 September 2026.
The cast is the reason this is not just another repertory booking. Leslie Cheung leads, with Andy Lau, Maggie Cheung, Carina Lau and Jacky Cheung around him, in the film that won Wong Kar Wai Best Director at the 28th Golden Horse Awards.

GV's booking page only shows one cinema at a time, so here is the whole run in one place, read off the site cinema by cinema on 2 September.

Three things fall out of that table:
- Friday is evening-only, and VivoCity is not playing it at all. If you are coming straight from work, Suntec City at 6.30pm is the earliest start.
- Sunday is afternoon-only, and Century Square drops off. The last screening of the whole run is Cineleisure at 5pm.
- Saturday 12 September is the only day all four cinemas play it, and it happens to be Leslie Cheung's actual birthday. Expect that day to sell first.
What $22 buys
The price is flat. GV's campaign banner prints one ticket price with no weekday or weekend split and no hall tier, and it holds across all four cinemas and all 10 sessions. That matters most at VivoCity, where both sessions are listed under GVmax, GV's large-format hall, at the same $22 as a standard house elsewhere.
For scale: GV's published price table listed a standard 2D Saturday ticket at $16.00 when we checked it on 27 August 2026. So you are paying roughly $6 over a normal weekend seat, and what that buys is the 4K restoration, the Cantonese-language presentation and the poster.
On the poster, GV's own listing is unusually plain about it: every ticket purchased comes with 1x commemorative A3 poster. The line appears twice on the page, in the synopsis and again in the promotions block, and GV prints no stocks-last caveat and no collection point. Some of the coverage that ran on 1 and 2 September added "at selected locations, while stocks last". That wording is not on GV's page, so ask at the box office of the cinema you booked.
The fine print
- Free tickets cannot be used. GV marks the film with an asterisk carrying exactly that line, so complimentary passes and free-ticket redemptions do not work here.
- It is in Cantonese, not Mandarin. The original audio, with English and Chinese subtitles. GV has not listed a dubbed version.
- Rated PG, 95 minutes, so a session ends inside two hours including trailers.
- The promotion is listed on GV's site to 13 September, which is simply the last day of the run.
Is it worth going?
If you have only ever seen *Days Of Being Wild* on a laptop or in a Mandarin dub, the case makes itself: this is the original Cantonese soundtrack, a proper 4K transfer and Christopher Doyle's photography on a real screen, for $6 more than an ordinary ticket and with a poster thrown in. If you are only mildly curious, note that the whole thing is over in three days and there is no wider release behind it, so there is no cheaper screening to wait for.
The one booking tip worth acting on: VivoCity is the same $22 for a GVmax hall, and it only has two sessions in the entire run.
