Challenger's National Day campaign is not one offer — it is a small pile of promo codes with different minimum spends, different product scopes and, awkwardly, three different expiry dates. Here is which one to actually use.

The four SG61 codes, ranked by what they are worth

All four started at 6pm on 3 August 2026 and all four are marked while stocks last on Challenger's own voucher page.
The two things that decide how much you actually save
1. These are fixed dollar amounts, so the percentage shrinks as you spend more. GB61NBX2 is a clean 10% on a $1,220 machine. On a $1,500 machine it is 8.1%. On a $2,000 machine it is 6.1% — the same rate as the smallest code on the list. The code rewards buying at the threshold, not above it.
2. Thresholds are worth engineering around, and the NDP61 step is brutal. A basket of $799 qualifies only for NDP16 and takes $16.10. A basket of $810 qualifies for NDP61 and takes $61. That is $11 more spending for $44.90 more discount — the single most profitable eleven dollars in this campaign.
The same logic applies at the top: on any selected PC or notebook at $1,220 or above, GB61NBX2 ($122) always beats NDP61 ($61). There is no basket size where the storewide code is the better choice on a qualifying machine.
The fine print people will trip on
- Selected products only — Challenger does not publish the eligible-model list on the voucher page. The only reliable test is to apply the code in your cart and watch the total move before you pay.
- One code per order — the checkout has a single promo-code field and no stacking rule is published, so treat these as mutually exclusive.
- GB61NBX2 dies a day early — 16 August at 23:59, a Sunday. The storewide codes run one more day, to 17 August. If you are buying a laptop, the Sunday night is your deadline.
- While stocks last — the voucher widget flips a code to a "Fully Redeemed" state once its allocation is gone. The published end date is a ceiling, not a promise.
- The order is final — Challenger's terms state that purchases made using a promotional code or an advertised limited set cannot be cancelled or amended once the order acknowledgement email is issued.
A copy error to read past
Two of the voucher cards on Challenger's page contradict themselves. The NDP61 card is headlined *"$61 OFF with $800 Min. Spend on selected products"*, but the paragraph directly beneath it repeats the NDP16 wording — $16.10 off a $250 minimum spend. The !UNPACKED38 card does the same thing in reverse: headline $38 off, description $100 off.
Go by the headline, and confirm against what the cart actually deducts. If the deduction does not match, that is worth a message to Challenger's support before you pay rather than after.

Is it worth it?
Ten percent on a laptop is a fair, unremarkable number — the kind of discount that is worth taking if you were buying anyway, and not worth manufacturing a purchase for. If you are comparison-shopping, note that BEST Denki's 8.8 mechanic of $8 off every $88 spent works out to 9.1% and, unlike Challenger's flat amounts, holds its rate as the basket grows rather than diluting. On a $2,000 laptop that difference is real: $182 against $122.
