Bibik Violet — the all-day Peranakan cafe, bakery and emporium from the Violet Oon group — is running Bibik's Seasonal Durian Specials, and the brand's own campaign artwork puts a hard fence around them: available exclusively at Great World, until 31 Aug.
> Quick view: three seasonal durian desserts · Great World outlet only (not Temasek Shophouse) · until 31 Aug 2026 · dine-in walk-in only, none of the three is on the delivery menu · no price published by the brand · daily 10am-10pm, last order 9.30pm.
The three desserts
The names come off Bibik Violet's own artwork, which lists them around the rim:
| Dessert | What it is |
|---|---|
| Durian Chendol | The house chendol — shaved ice, soft pandan jelly, red beans and attap chee in coconut milk and gula melaka — with durian added on top |
| Durian Sago Gula Melaka | Chilled sago pearls in coconut milk and gula melaka syrup, paired with durian pengat |
| Pulut Tai Tai with Durian Kaya | Blue pea glutinous rice with durian kaya, served with durian pengat |
Bibik Violet's own menu describes the base versions but not the durian ones, so the durian detail on the second and third — Mao Shan Wang pengat, blue pea rice — comes from the launch write-ups rather than from the brand. The non-durian chendol stays on the permanent menu after this ends.
What the brand actually commits to
Four things are Bibik Violet's own words, on its own site:
- "Available exclusively at Great World until 31 Aug" — printed on the yellow seal in the campaign artwork.
- "Enjoy limited-time durian specials" — on the Great World banner at the top of bibikviolet.com, alongside "now open at Great World Level 2" and "open daily 10am - 10pm".
- "Walk in any time" — no reservations are taken at either outlet.
- Last order 9.30pm at Great World, per the outlet's own listing.
And on 17 August its Facebook page posted the campaign with a line about getting your durian fix before durian season ends — which is the brand telling you the supply side is finite.
Three things to know before you go
1. It is dine-in at Great World or nothing. We went through Bibik Violet's own ordering platform at order.bibikviolet.com category by category. The word *durian* does not appear once — the Desserts section carries only Almond Jelly Longan ($6.90), Sago Gula Melaka ($4.90), Bibik's Bakes and Nyonya Kueh. There is no delivery and no takeaway pre-order for these three, and the Temasek Shophouse outlet at 28 Orchard Road is excluded by the artwork itself.
2. No price is published anywhere. Not on the artwork, not on the site, not in the August 2026 Great World menu PDF that Bibik Violet hosts itself. Here is the published baseline from that menu, which is the closest reference you have:
| Menu item (non-durian) | Listed | With 10% service + 9% GST |
|---|---|---|
| Sago Gula Melaka | $4.90 | ~$5.88 |
| Chendol | $5.50 | ~$6.60 |
| Almond Jelly Longan | $6.90 | ~$8.28 |
| Kopi / Teh (hot) | $2.70 | ~$3.24 |
| Kopi O / Teh O (hot) | $2.50 | ~$3.00 |
That "prices are subject to 10% service charge and 9% GST" line is printed at the foot of Bibik Violet's own full menu page. The durian versions will sit above these numbers — by how much, the brand has not said.
3. The $1 kopi window is reported, not confirmed. Several launch write-ups pair this campaign with kopi or teh at $1 with any purchase, 3pm to 5pm daily at Great World, until 31 August. We could not find it on the campaign artwork, the homepage, the menu PDF or the ordering platform — where kopi and teh are listed at full price. If it is running, it is worth roughly $1.50 to $2 a cup and makes a mid-afternoon visit the smart slot. Ask at the counter rather than assuming.
Getting there
Bibik Violet @ Great World — 1 Kim Seng Promenade, #02-K101/K102, Level 2 Atrium, S237994. Open daily 10am - 10pm, last order 9.30pm. Great World MRT (TE15) via Exits 2, 3 or 6 — Exit 6 gives you direct access at Basement 2. Buses 5, 16, 75, 175, 195 and 970.
Worth knowing
Bibik Violet labels its Nyonya Kueh as made fresh in limited daily batches and available from 11am until sold out, and its bakes as available all day until sold out. Nothing on the durian desserts says the same in writing, but a seasonal item in a season the brand describes as ending deserves the same caution: go earlier in the fortnight rather than later, and go with someone. These are desserts built to be shared — two people and two spoons will get you through more of the set than one bowl each.
