8 Best Muay Thai & Boxing Gyms in Singapore (2026) — Trial Prices From $18, and Which Ones Won't Tell You What a Month Costs

Every fight gym in Singapore sells a cheap first class. The gap is what happens after it — and half the big names won't publish a monthly rate at all. We priced eight Muay Thai and boxing gyms straight off their own websites in August 2026: Spear Boxing in Bukit Timah has the cheapest way in at $18 a trial session, Fight Academy on Joo Chiat has the cheapest unlimited month at $150 and refunds your trial fee if you join, and The Ring Boxing Community sells a whole week of unlimited classes for $49 — less than two drop-ins almost anywhere else. Khao Noi Gym near Stadium MRT is the only Muay Thai gym here that puts its full price ladder on one page. Evolve MMA and NTG Fight & Fitness both give the first class away free, but neither publishes a membership price, and The Six Boxing keeps its rates inside its app. Two corrections to what's circulating online: Evolve's own locations page now lists three Singapore gyms, not the four-to-six that older roundups still name, and The Ring's trial is $49 — not the $16 or $39 quoted on third-party listing sites.

Every fight gym in Singapore sells a cheap first class. The real question is what the second month costs — and four of the eight best-known gyms will not tell you online.

> Quick view: cheapest way in is Spear Boxing, $18 a session · cheapest unlimited month is Fight Academy, $150 · best trial is The Ring's $49 for a whole week · Evolve and NTG give the first class away free but publish no price at all.

Spear Boxing Academy — the Cheapest Way Into a Ring in Singapore, at $18, and the Best Student/NS Rate on This List

Spear sits on Lor Kilat, just off Upper Bukit Timah Road, and it is the only gym here that sells a first session for under $20. The trial is $18 for one class, first-timers only, and it has to be used within two weeks of purchase — read the small print, because the trial specifically cannot be used for the sparring or strength-and-conditioning slots, so book a regular boxing class with it. After that a walk-in is $38, five sessions are $158 (two-month validity), ten are $298 and twenty are $448. Where Spear really separates itself is the monthly ladder: one month unlimited with no contract is $218, a three-month recurring plan drops it to $198 a month, six months to $188, and paying three months upfront ($534) works out to $178 a month. Then there is a second, cheaper price list that most roundups never mention — anyone under 21, any NSman, and any full-time local student up to age 24 pays $178 for the no-contract month, $158 a month on three months, $148 on six, and $138 a month if they pay three months upfront. Bring the student pass or NS card to the first session; the discount is applied at sign-up, not by a code. BEST FOR: trying boxing without committing $200 to find out you hate it, and for students and NSmen, who get the cheapest serious membership in this guide.

$18 first-timer trial session — one class, valid 2 weeks (not usable for sparring or strength & conditioning). Under-21s, NSmen and full-time local students up to 24 get a separate cheaper membership tier, from $138/month.

Fight Academy Singapore — $150 a Month Unlimited, the Cheapest on This List, and the Trial Fee Comes Back If You Join

A three-storey walk-up at 95 Joo Chiat Road, Level 3, about 15 minutes on foot from Eunos MRT and 16 from Paya Lebar. Two things make it the best-value serious membership in this guide. First, the trial: $30 buys TWO classes valid over two weeks, not one — and if you continue with a full membership, the gym offsets the trial fee against your sign-up, so the two classes effectively become free. It is a one-time redemption for new participants only. Second, the membership itself: unlimited classes are $150 a month, which is $68 less than the next-cheapest unlimited month here and less than half what a premium gym charges. Casual training is priced sensibly too — a drop-in is $35 with a one-month expiry, ten sessions are $300 over four months, twenty are $500 over six. There is a full kids and teens programme on the same terms: $30 for a two-class trial, $30 drop-in, $150 a month unlimited, ten sessions $250 and twenty sessions $400. Memberships can be frozen case by case with supporting documents such as a doctor's letter, but only while the package is still active — expired packages cannot be extended. BEST FOR: the person who already knows they will train two or three times a week and wants the lowest honest monthly number, and for families training alongside their kids.

$30 trial = 2 classes over 2 weeks, and the fee is offset against your membership if you sign up. One-time redemption, new participants only.

The Ring Boxing Community — $49 Buys a Whole Week of Unlimited Classes, Not One Session (and the $16 Trial You Read About Elsewhere Doesn't Exist)

The Ring's flagship is at 1 Claymore Drive, #01-01A, a two-minute walk off Orchard Road, open Monday to Friday 7:15am to 8:30pm, Saturday 8am to 5:15pm and Sunday 8am to 1:45pm; there is a second gym at Choa Chu Kang. Its trial is structured differently from everyone else's and it is the best-value first step in this guide: $49 for one week of unlimited classes, everything except personal training, first-timers only. Book as many classes as you can fit into seven days — at a $35 drop-in rate, two classes already cost more than the entire week. After the trial, the ladder is drop-in $35, one week unlimited $79, one month unlimited $300, or credit packages at 50 credits for $160 (roughly five classes, two-month validity) and 100 credits for $290 (roughly ten classes, four-month validity). Discounts exist for students and NSmen under 21, arranged over WhatsApp rather than published. Two practical details: kids aged 8 to 12 get their first class free, and if you turn up without hand wraps they will rent you a pair for $2 and lend you gloves at no charge. Worth flagging because it is wrong in several places online — third-party class-booking listings still quote a $16 or $39 trial at The Ring. The gym's own trial page says SGD 49. BEST FOR: anyone who wants to find out whether they will actually keep going, because one week tells you far more than one class.

SGD 49 one-week trial — unlimited classes for 7 days (excludes personal training), first-timers only. Kids aged 8-12 get their first class free.

Khao Noi Gym — the Only Muay Thai Gym Here That Puts Its Whole Price Ladder on One Page, From $160 a Month

KNG trains out of 50 Jalan Benaan Kapal, a short walk from Stadium MRT on the Circle Line, and it does something almost no other fight gym in Singapore does: it publishes the entire membership ladder, plainly, on a page titled Transparent Pricing. Adults pay $160 a month for four group classes, $210 for six, or $280 for unlimited — and every group class is 90 minutes, not the 45 or 60 that boutique studios run, so the per-hour maths is better than the headline suggests. Under-21s have their own published tier: $150 for four, $180 for six and $230 for unlimited, with proof of age required at sign-up. There is no lock-in on any plan; everything is month to month and cancelled by WhatsApp before the next renewal. Two conditions to note before you pick a session pack over unlimited: sessions are valid within the calendar month and do NOT roll over, so a four-session plan you only half use is a $160 month with two classes in it. Corporate rates exist for groups of four or more employees. A trial class is available for first-time visitors but the gym does not price it online — you arrange it over WhatsApp on +65 8999 2104, and KNG says it walks you through exact pricing on the spot. BEST FOR: the Muay Thai beginner who wants to know the real cost before walking in, and anyone training near the Kallang/Stadium belt.

Trial class for first-time visitors, arranged on WhatsApp. Published memberships: $160 for 4 classes/month, $210 for 6, $280 unlimited — under-21s pay $150/$180/$230, no lock-in.

JR Muay Thai — Six Outlets, but the $25 Trial Everyone Quotes Only Applies at Three of Them

JR runs the widest network on this list — group and corporate classes at Jurong West, Bukit Batok, Queensway, Clarke Quay, Aljunied and Katong — so for most people it is the one with a gym near home rather than a gym near work. Bags, pads, gloves and equipment are provided, which matters on a first visit. The detail that gets flattened everywhere else is that JR does not have one trial price; it has a trial price per outlet, and they are not close. A group trial is $25 at Jurong West, Bukit Batok and Queensway; $35 at Aljunied; $36 at Clarke Quay, but that one buys TWO sessions rather than one; and $45 at Katong, the most expensive of the six. Private trials are priced separately again: $85 for 40 minutes at Katong, or $180 for 60 minutes at a location of your choosing. So the honest way to read the widely quoted 'from $25' is that it is the west-side price — if your nearest outlet is Katong you are paying 80 percent more for the same first class, and if it is Clarke Quay you are paying more but getting a second session out of it. Trial rates are for first-timers only. Ongoing membership rates are not published on the site. BEST FOR: beginners in the west and north-west, and anyone who wants a class within a 15-minute journey of home.

First-timer group trial from $25 — but priced per outlet: $25 Jurong West / Bukit Batok / Queensway, $35 Aljunied, $36 for two sessions at Clarke Quay, $45 Katong. Equipment provided.

Evolve MMA — the Free Trial With World Champion Instructors, Now at Three Singapore Gyms (Not the Four to Six Older Lists Still Name)

Evolve is the big one — the gym most people have heard of, with Muay Thai, boxing, BJJ and MMA taught by instructors who hold actual World Championships, and the largest class schedule of any gym in this guide. Its first class is complimentary, gloves and equipment are provided for the trial, and sparring is optional and reserved for more experienced students, so a beginner's first session is technique and conditioning, not getting hit. Opening hours are the longest here: Monday to Friday 6:30am to 11pm at every gym, with weekend hours varying by outlet (Raffles Place 7am to 9pm, Orchard Central 7am to 10pm, Star Vista 8am to 9pm). Two things to go in knowing. First, Evolve does not publish membership prices anywhere on its site — its own FAQ answer to 'how much does it cost' is to book the complimentary trial and speak to a membership consultant, so any figure you see quoted online is second-hand and you should expect a sales conversation at the end of your free class. Second, check the address before you travel: Evolve's own locations page currently lists three Singapore gyms — Raffles Place (18 Cross St, B1-08), Orchard Central (181 Orchard Road, #06-01) and Star Vista (1 Vista Exchange Green, #02-26A) — while plenty of roundups still send readers to KINEX and other addresses. BEST FOR: people who want the deepest timetable and championship-level coaching, and who are comfortable negotiating a price rather than reading one.

Complimentary trial class at any Singapore gym, gloves and equipment provided. Membership prices are not published — they are quoted by a consultant after the trial.

NTG Fight & Fitness — Free First Class, a Sauna and an Ice Plunge, and Three Membership Tiers That All Say 'Request for Pricing'

NTG sits at 491B River Valley Road, #02-01, and it is the newest-feeling gym on this list: a full ring, weights, bags, showers, plus a sauna and an ice plunge on site, which is unusual for a fight gym at this size. It was founded by Australian trainer and fight promoter Nugget McNaught, and the first class is genuinely free — no card, no deposit, just book the trial. The membership structure is published by name but not by number: an Adapt weekly pass for people testing the waters, a Power one-month programme with unlimited access for 30 days, and an Overcome three-month journey — and every single one of them carries a 'Request for Pricing' button rather than a figure. There is also a standing banner offer on the site, a birthday promotion of up to 25 percent off, which you claim by WhatsApping the gym rather than by code. Treat the free trial as what it is: a genuinely no-risk first session, followed by a quote. If you want to compare NTG against Fight Academy's $150 or Khao Noi's $280 before you go, you will have to ask for the number. BEST FOR: River Valley and Great World residents, and anyone who values recovery facilities as much as the training floor.

Free trial class, no card required — plus a standing birthday promotion of up to 25% off, claimed over WhatsApp. Membership tiers are listed as 'request for pricing'.

The Six Boxing — Two Gyms on One Membership, Open 7am to 10pm Every Day, but the Rates Live Inside the App

The Six runs two locations on a single membership: The Six (Outram) at 144 Neil Road, and The Six Arena at 48 Woodleigh Park, inside the PUB Recreation Club. Both are open 7am to 10pm every day of the week, which is the most forgiving schedule on this list for shift workers and anyone whose training window moves around. Classes are built for mixed ability, with a Beginner Boxing class that runs 60 minutes and breaks down the six basic punches, and Outram members also get free access to a fully fitted gym in the basement — so the membership is a boxing class and a normal gym in one, rather than a class pass. Members also get 25 percent off YoloFoodSG meal plans, a perk the gym advertises on its own homepage. The catch, and the reason it sits eighth rather than higher: The Six does not publish trial, drop-in or membership prices anywhere on its website — booking runs through the site's trial form or The Six app on iOS and Android, and the rates appear there. If you want a number before you commit an evening, WhatsApp them on +65 8321 2302. BEST FOR: people near Outram or Woodleigh who want gym access bundled with classes, and anyone who trains at unpredictable hours.

One membership covers both gyms (Neil Road + Woodleigh), free basement gym access at Outram, and 25% off YoloFoodSG for members. Trial bookable on site or in the app; rates are not published online.

Why this roundup exists

Search "Muay Thai Singapore price" and you get a range — S$29 to S$40 for a trial, S$180 to S$400 a month — assembled from blogs that quote each other. The ranges are not wrong, but they are useless for choosing, because the two numbers that decide whether you keep training are the trial price and the cheapest honest month, and those are set gym by gym. So we opened each gym's own pricing page in August 2026 and wrote down what it actually says. Where a gym does not publish a price, we have said so rather than repeating a figure from a listing site.

That last part matters more than it sounds. Three of the eight gyms here — Evolve MMA, NTG Fight & Fitness and The Six Boxing — publish no membership price at all, and JR Muay Thai publishes trial prices but not ongoing rates. Half the market, in other words, quotes you in person. That is not a scam; it is how boutique fitness sells. But it does mean a "free trial" and a "$18 trial" are not the same product: one ends with a class, the other ends with a class and a quote.

What we corrected along the way

  • The Ring's trial is $49, not $16 or $39. Third-party class-booking listings still carry the older, lower figures. The gym's own one-week trial page says SGD 49 — and for that you get seven days of unlimited classes, so it is still the best-value first step here.
  • Evolve MMA's own locations page lists three Singapore gyms, at Raffles Place, Orchard Central and Star Vista. Several roundups still list KINEX and other addresses. Check before you travel.
  • JR Muay Thai's "$25 trial" is an outlet price, not a brand price — it ranges from $25 in the west to $45 at Katong for the same first class.

How to choose, in three questions

1. How sure are you? If the honest answer is "not very", buy the cheapest possible look: Spear's $18 single session, or The Ring's $49 week if you can clear your diary. Do not buy a month to find out.

2. How often will you really go? Below twice a week, session packs and drop-ins win — Fight Academy's $35 drop-in or Khao Noi's four-a-month $160. At three or more sessions a week, unlimited wins, and Fight Academy's $150 a month is the lowest published number in this guide. Watch expiries: Khao Noi's monthly sessions do not roll over, and Spear's packs run out after two to six months.

3. Do you qualify for a cheaper tier? If you are under 21, serving NS, or a full-time local student, ask before you pay. Spear publishes a full second price list for you, down to $138 a month; Khao Noi publishes an under-21 ladder from $150; The Ring gives student and NS discounts on request. None of these are applied automatically — bring the card.

What a first class actually costs beyond the fee

Gloves and equipment are provided for trials at Evolve, JR Muay Thai and most gyms here, so you can turn up in shorts and a t-shirt. Hand wraps are the one thing you may be asked about: The Ring rents a pair for $2 and lends gloves free. Once you are training regularly, budget roughly $15 to $30 for your own wraps and $80 to $200 for gloves — buy them after your trial month, not before it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Muay Thai or boxing class cost in Singapore in 2026?

A first class costs between nothing and $49, depending on how the gym structures its trial. The cheapest paid single session on this list is $18 at Spear Boxing Academy; Evolve MMA and NTG Fight & Fitness give the first class away free; The Ring Boxing Community charges $49 but gives you a full week of unlimited classes for it. After the trial, a casual drop-in is typically $35 to $38, and unlimited months range from $150 at Fight Academy Singapore to $280 at Khao Noi Gym and $300 at The Ring. Several gyms — Evolve, NTG, The Six Boxing — do not publish monthly rates at all and quote you after the trial.

Which Singapore gym has the cheapest trial class?

By price per session, Spear Boxing Academy at $18 — one class, first-timers only, valid two weeks, and not usable for the sparring or strength-and-conditioning slots. By value, The Ring Boxing Community's $49 is better: it buys seven days of unlimited classes, so if you attend three times it is $16 a class. Evolve MMA and NTG Fight & Fitness are free, but neither publishes what comes next, so budget for a sales conversation rather than a price tag.

Do I need my own gloves and hand wraps for a first Muay Thai or boxing class?

No. Gloves and equipment are provided for trial classes at Evolve MMA, JR Muay Thai and most gyms in this guide — shorts and a t-shirt are enough. Hand wraps are the one item you may be asked about: The Ring Boxing Community rents a pair for $2 and lends gloves free of charge. Buy your own only once you have decided to keep training; budget roughly $15 to $30 for wraps and $80 to $200 for gloves.

Are there student or NS discounts at Singapore fight gyms?

Yes, at several — but they are almost never applied automatically. Spear Boxing Academy publishes an entire second price list for anyone under 21, any NSman, and full-time local students up to age 24: $178 for a no-contract month against $218 standard, down to $138 a month on a three-month upfront plan. Khao Noi Gym publishes an under-21 ladder at $150 for four classes, $180 for six and $230 unlimited. The Ring Boxing Community offers discounts for students and NSmen under 21 on request via WhatsApp. In every case you need to show the student pass, NS card or IC at sign-up.

Will I have to spar in a beginner class?

No. Sparring is optional at the gyms in this guide and is reserved for more experienced students — Evolve MMA states this explicitly in its own FAQ, and beginner sessions elsewhere follow the same pattern: skipping and warm-up, shadow boxing, technique on pads and bags, then conditioning. Spear Boxing Academy goes a step further and excludes sparring from its $18 trial session entirely, so a first-timer cannot accidentally book into one.
