A one-way coach from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur costs S$25 to S$85, and the cheapest seat is not always the best trip. We read live fares on seven operators' own booking sites on 14 October 2026, plus where each one picks up in Singapore, where it drops off in KL and what you get on board.
The bus is still the cheapest way to get from Singapore to KL without the airport run.
> Quick view: cheapest is Golden Coach at S$28 (S$25 on some trips); most coaches cost S$35-S$39; Aeroline at S$50 adds a meal and a toilet. Book the exact pickup point, because several have moved.
How to choose
- Start with the pickup point, not the fare. The spread between most operators is S$4-S$10, which is less than a Grab ride across the island. Golden Coach boards only at Outram, Causeway Link only at Ubi and Aeroline only at Jurong East, while Cityline and KKKL pick up in several towns.
- Check the KL end too. Most coaches stop at LaLaport Bukit Bintang (city centre, monorail nearby) or TBS (LRT, KTM and the airport train). Aeroline is the only one here that goes to TRX, 1 Utama and Sunway.
- Several pickup points moved in 2026. Aeroline left HarbourFront for Jurong East on 1 September, and Causeway Link's booking system now sells only Oxley BizHub departures. Read the boarding note on your e-ticket rather than an old blog.
- Read the change rules before you pay. 707 allows no refunds or date changes, Transtar's SVIP charters cannot be changed, and Cityline charges S$10 per change.
- Give yourself time at the border. Operators quote 5-6 hours, but Friday-evening and eve-of-holiday departures can take far longer at Woodlands or Tuas. The Saturday-morning and late-night trips are usually the smoothest.
How we checked
Every fare, departure time and boarding point was read from each operator's own booking site on 14 October 2026 for travel between 15 and 24 October, plus 20 November for Golden Coach. Coach features and promotions come from the operators' own pages. Fares change with demand and public holidays, so treat these as a guide and confirm at checkout. We left out operators whose official site did not show a fare we could confirm.
