The viral one from the 'Hello Singapore' Sanrio pop-up: a Singapore-exclusive Mr. Merlion plush line that dresses Hello Kitty, My Melody and Kuromi in a fuzzy pink Merlion costume. They're at the free pop-up at Marina Square (Level 2, Marina Foyer) until 16 August 2026, and the price drops the more you buy — $39 each for one, $35 each when you buy three items, and $29 each when you buy six. It's the same pop-up that carries the Hello Kitty x Merlion EZ-Link card, so you can grab both in one trip. These sell fast, so if the character you want is in stock, it's usually a grab-it-now situation.

Hello Kitty fans, this one's hard to resist: a new Sanrio × Merlion SimplyGo EZ-Link card — Hello Kitty under a little red polka-dot umbrella beside the Merlion — is out at EZ-Link vending machines in malls for $10 each. It's the latest design in the ongoing 'Hello Singapore' Sanrio × Singapore Icons line (which already includes bus stop, kaya toast, HDB and dragon playground designs). One thing to know before you tap: the card comes with NO stored value, so you top up before your first ride — but it's a fully usable commuter card, not just a shelf collectible. There's also a free 'Hello Singapore' Sanrio pop-up at Marina Square (Level 2, Marina Foyer) now till 16 August 2026, with Mr. Merlion plushies, tees, blind boxes and a Kuji lucky draw.
