Two of Singapore's best-known Teochew restaurants have a promotion with an unusually sweet condition: Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine and Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine are giving 15% off the food bill when you dine with your grandparents — or present a ticket to the Teochew-dialect film 《给阿嬷的情书 Dear You》. The campaign is called 《给阿公阿嬷的邀请函》 ("Dear Ah Gong Ah Ma") and it runs Mondays to Fridays, dine-in only, from 6 July to 28 August 2026 at both outlets. No app, no code, no voucher — just turn up with the elders. The catch: the 15% applies to food only and excludes beverages, service charge and GST; it's not valid on public holidays or their eves; and it can't be stacked with set menus, vouchers or membership privileges. On a $200 food bill that's about $36 off the final total. Both restaurants are under JUMBO Group's Zui Teochew Cuisine arm — old-school cold crab, pig trotter terrine and oyster omelette territory — so book ahead.
