A Teochew feast with a soft spot for the elders: Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine and Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine are running 15% off the food bill when you either bring your grandparents along or present a ticket to the Teochew film 《给阿嬷的情书 Dear You》. It runs Mondays to Fridays, dine-in only, from 6 July to 28 August 2026 at both restaurants.

The campaign is called 《给阿公阿嬷的邀请函》— "Dear Ah Gong Ah Ma", and it's pitched exactly as it sounds: an invitation to sit your grandparents down for a proper multi-generation Teochew meal. Both restaurants are under the JUMBO Group's Zui Teochew Cuisine arm, so this is old-school Teochew cooking — cold crab, pig trotter terrine, 'Puning' fermented bean chicken, oyster omelette 'gooey style' — rather than a fast-casual discount.
Two ways to unlock the 15%
- Dine with your grandparents. No ticket, no code, no app — just turn up with them. This is the easy route.
- Show a 《给阿嬷的情书 Dear You》 movie ticket. The offer is inspired by the Teochew-dialect film, which drew enough demand for extra original-dialect screenings at Golden Village. If the film's run has wrapped by the time you go, a saved or screenshot ticket is worth asking about — but the grandparents route needs nothing at all.
Either way, mention the promotion before the bill is printed.

Both are proper sit-down restaurants — book ahead, especially if you're bringing a larger family group on a weekday evening.
The fine print
- Dine-in only, Mondays to Fridays. No weekends, no takeaway, no delivery.
- Food items only. The 15% excludes beverages, service charge and prevailing government taxes — so it comes off the food subtotal, not the final bill.
- Not valid on public holidays or the eve of public holidays. In this window that mainly knocks out Monday 10 August 2026 (National Day falls on Sunday 9 Aug and is observed on the Monday).
- Not combinable with other discounts, privileges, vouchers, promotional offers, set menus or membership benefits unless otherwise stated — worth noting, since set menus are often how big tables order here. Ask which works out cheaper for your group.
- Valid at both outlets, 6 July – 28 August 2026. Management may amend the terms or withdraw the promotion without notice.
What it actually saves you
Because the discount comes off food only and before service charge and GST, the arithmetic is gentler than 15% sounds — but it still compounds, since a smaller food subtotal means smaller service charge and GST on top.
On a $200 food bill: you pay $170 for food, then +10% service charge and +9% GST = about $203.80 final, versus $239.80 without the discount. That's roughly $36 saved on one family dinner — about the price of another dish.
Worth knowing
- Set menus are excluded, so for a table of 8–10 it's worth pricing an à la carte order with 15% off against the set menu you'd otherwise take.
- Weekday lunch is the quietest slot and the easiest to book at short notice — and Teochew 'muay' (porridge) lunches at Chui Huay Lim are a gentler, cheaper way to use the offer than a full dinner.
- The offer runs almost eight weeks, so there's no need to rush — but the Mon–Fri restriction means the obvious family weekend meal won't qualify. Plan a weekday.
