Tai Cheong Bakery has put its signature egg tarts on a mid-week clock: a box of 4 for $8 instead of $9.60, at all Tai Cheong outlets in Singapore, while stocks last — but only on three days, and they are all Wednesdays: 12, 19 and 26 August 2026.
> Quick view: 4 Signature Egg Tarts for $8 (U.P. $9.60) · $2 a tart vs $2.40 · $1.60 saved a box · WED 12, 19 & 26 Aug 2026 only · all SG outlets · while stocks last · no app, no code, no membership.
What you actually get
The deal is on the Signature Egg Tart — the cookie-crust Hong Kong style Tai Cheong has been baking since 1954 — sold in the standard box of 4.
- Promo price: $8 a box
- Usual price: $9.60 a box
- Per tart: $2 instead of $2.40
- You save: $1.60 a box (17%)
There is no purchase cap published, so this scales cleanly if you are buying for an office or a family gathering — five boxes is $40 instead of $48.
The dates are the whole catch
This is not a month-long promotion, and it is not "every Wednesday in August" either. Tai Cheong's own post names three specific dates: Wednesday 12 August, Wednesday 19 August and Wednesday 26 August 2026. Wednesday 5 August is not included. Turn up on a Thursday and you are back at $9.60.
The fine print
- All Tai Cheong Bakery outlets in Singapore take part — 11 of them (full list below).
- While stocks last, and Tai Cheong notes that stocks vary by outlet — tarts are baked in batches, so an evening walk-in at a busy mall branch is how you miss it.
- No app, no membership, no code — it is simply the counter price on those three days.
- Tai Cheong has not published a per-customer cap, but a while-stocks-last line always trumps a bulk order at a small counter.
Where to go
Holland Village (31 Lor Liput) · Takashimaya Food Hall (#B208-6) · Square 2, Novena (#01-15) · Raffles City (#B1-58) · Paya Lebar Quarter (#B2-08) · JEM (#B1-35) · Northpoint City (#B2-102 South Wing) · VivoCity (#B2-02) · Woods Square, Woodlands (#B2-14 Tower 2) · Tampines 1 (#B1-24) · ION Orchard (#B4-45/46).
Tips
- Go earlier in the day. The Orchard and Raffles Place branches sit on commuter routes and clear out at evening peak.
- Buy on the way home, not at lunch. Egg tarts are best warm and within a few hours; a reheated tart is never the same custard.
- If you only want one tart, don't buy the box. SG deal sites report a Kris+ app voucher at $0.88 for a single Signature Egg Tart (U.P. $2.40), one per Kris+ account, redeemable 8–31 Aug at nine outlets with Takashimaya excluded. That is a much deeper cut per tart — check the app's Deals section to confirm it before heading down.
- Pair the trip. Most of these outlets are in malls with other live August deals running, so it is worth checking the roundup before you go.
