Missed the Amoy Street queue for Spicy Wife? Its new sibling Spicy Hubby has opened in an air-conditioned spot at The Centrepoint, and it is marking the opening with a 1-for-1 from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2026.

Spicy Hubby is the first mall outlet from the team behind Spicy Wife, the nasi lemak stall known for its long lines at Amoy Street Food Centre. Posts on Spicy Wife's official Instagram announce a 1-for-1 opening promotion for three days:

The fine print
- Three days only. It ends on Sunday 18 October.
- No item list has been published. The official posts give the deal and the dates, nothing more. Media reports describe it as covering the mains, so treat sides and drinks as full price unless the counter says otherwise.
- Mixing plates is not confirmed. If you pair a $9.90 berempah with a $12.90 rendang, expect to pay for the dearer one.
- Spicy Hubby only. The original Spicy Wife stall at Amoy Street is not running the promotion.
- Not halal-certified. Reports say no pork or lard is used, but there is no MUIS certificate.
Tips
- Finding it is half the battle. The outlet's own Instagram says to go down to B1, walk past the ATM, then head up to #01-55/56.
- Go after 11am. Opening times differ between reports, so 11am is the safe bet, and an off-peak weekday slot beats the Saturday lunch rush.
- Order the berempah if it is your first visit. It is the Spicy Wife dish people queued for, and at $4.95 a plate it is the cheapest way in.
- Bring a friend. A 1-for-1 needs two plates, and the deal is gone after Sunday.
