A proper piece of Singapore childhood is closing the book: Snow City — the country's first indoor snow centre, run by Science Centre Singapore in Jurong East — will close for good on 30 September 2026 after 26 years. Before it does, it's running a farewell campaign, 'One Last Snowfall', with a discounted Snow Play package.

> Quick view: $19/adult · $16/child (3–12) · ~30% off usual admission · 1 hour snow play + 1 ice bumper car ride · winter jacket & boots provided · runs till the final day, 30 Sep 2026 · Jurong East (by Science Centre).

The farewell deal

  • $19 per adult, $16 per child (ages 3–12) — the operator puts it at about 30% off usual admission.
  • Includes one full hour of snow play plus one ride on the ice bumper cars.
  • Winter jacket and boots are provided with admission — turn up in normal clothes (long pants and socks make the snow comfier).
  • The official ticketing portal lists this as the "Farewell Promotion (1 Hour Snowplay + 1 Bumper Car Ride)" — book your slot there.

Extras while you're there

As part of the send-off, Snow City is selling brand-new winterwear at $10 each (while stocks last) and discounted plushie souvenirs — a nice keepsake if this is your last visit. Both are optional and separate from the Snow Play package.

Good to know

  1. It closes 30 September 2026 — for good. After 26 years (it opened in 2000), this is genuinely the last window.
  2. Where: Snow City, 21 Jurong Town Hall Road, in the Science Centre Singapore area — nearest MRT Jurong East.
  3. Opening hours: weekdays 10am–5pm; weekends, school and public holidays 10am–6pm; closed Mondays except during school and public holidays.
  4. Under-2s typically enter free (headcount still required).
  5. Prices and inclusions are set by the operator and can vary by ticket type and time slot — confirm on ticket.snowcity.com.sg before heading down.

Why go now

It's an air-conditioned, rainy-day-proof outing that young kids love — tobogganing down a real snow slope in the tropics, then a spin on the bumper cars. With a hard closing date and plenty of nostalgia attached, weekends and school holidays will get busy, so a weekday visit means shorter queues. Book ahead rather than walking in.
