Aquarium), Adventure Cove Waterpark, the SkyHelix open-air panoramic ride, MegaZip at Mega Adventure, Skyline Luge, the Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony night show, the 3 beaches (Siloso/Palawan/Tanjong), AltitudeX indoor skydiving (formerly iFly), and free walking trails. Every price was re-read on each operator's own booking store on 2 October 2026: Universal Studios has put its month bands back (adult S$83 in October, S$76 in November, S$89 in December), the Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony S$12 locals' offer ended on 30 September but DBS/POSB cards now take 30% off, and Adventure Cove still throws in an after-dark murder mystery on five October Saturdays.

Resort World Sentosa's flagship, SG's only major theme park. 7 themed zones (Hollywood, Minion Land, Far Far Away, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City, New York), with iconic rides Transformers The Ride 3D, Battlestar Galactica HUMAN vs CYLON dueling coasters, Revenge of the Mummy, and the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. NOTE: the old Madagascar zone is gone, Minion Land replaced it and opened 14 Feb 2025, adding Gru's Neighborhood, Super Silly Fun Land and the Minion Marketplace, so any guide still listing Madagascar: A Crate Adventure is out of date.PRICE, AND THIS HAS CHANGED BACK: in mid-September every date we opened in the park's booking calendar priced at the S$76 non-peak rate, and we reported that the month bands had gone. On 2 October 2026 the same calendar showed them again. Adult tickets are S$83 (Peak) on every October date we checked, Halloween Saturday 31 October included, S$76 (Non Peak) on November dates, and S$89 (Super Peak) on 12 December and Christmas Day. Child tickets are S$69 in every band, and under-4s are free. So November is the cheap month left this year, and two adults save S$26 by moving a December visit into it.EVENING ENTRY: from 4pm at S$85, including a S$20 meal voucher, on selected dates only (it was on sale for 14 November but not for 10 October when we checked). MULTI-PARK PASSES, now banded the same way: the 3-PARK PASS covers USS, the Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, each once within 7 days, at S$131 adult on a November start date, S$135 in October and S$141 in December, with the child pass S$122 throughout. Sum the parts and an adult pays S$76 plus S$55 plus S$34 in November, which is S$165, so the pass saves S$34; in October the parts come to S$172 against S$135. The 2-PARK PASS (USS plus the Oceanarium) is S$115 adult in October and November and S$120 in December, child and senior S$108. A MAGICAL 4-PARK EXPERIENCE PASS adds Harry Potter: Visions of Magic. All of these sit on RWS's multi-attraction pass page; the USS ticket page itself only shows the October 3-Park Pass.SEASON PASS: S$190 adult and S$170 child for six months of unlimited USS visits from your first visit, plus priority access, S$20 of welcome vouchers and 10% off a la carte tickets at all three RWS parks.HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 14: 18 select nights from 25 September to 1 November 2026, 7.30pm to 12.30am, from S$68 on non-peak nights and S$78 on peak, or S$63 and S$73 with a Mastercard. It is a separate ticket that a day pass does not cover, and RWS does not recommend it for under-13s. Half-day visitors: prioritize the top 5 rides. Singapore's highest open-air panoramic ride at 79m above sea level. You sit in an open-air gondola seat that gently rotates as it ascends, giving 360° views over Sentosa, Keppel Bay and the Southern Islands. PRICING (re-read on Mount Faber Leisure's own store on 2 October 2026): the list price is adult (13+) S$20 and child (4-12) S$17, and the online rate is S$18 and S$15.30, 10% off. Our mid-September check showed a S$25 / S$22 counter price and a S$5 F&B voucher on the online ticket; neither is on the operator's page now, so plan on S$20 at the counter. The bigger saving is card-based: paying with a DBS or POSB card takes 30% off SkyHelix, about S$14 an adult, and Mastercard takes 20% off, both valid for purchase until 31 March 2027. Under-4s go free. Riders must be over 1.05m, and anyone between 1.05m and 1.20m or under 12 rides with an adult. Each ticket still includes either a standard non-alcoholic drink or a SkyHelix souvenir, though that perk does not apply inside a bundle or package.DURATION: about 12 minutes including the ascent and descent, with roughly 10 of those spent at the top, a quick, low-effort highlight rather than a half-day attraction, so it pairs well with the beaches or Skyline Luge next door.CAPACITY: up to 16 people per ride, first-come first-served. HOURS: 10am to 9.30pm daily with the last ride at 9.15pm, per the dated notice on the ride's page (its masthead still says 8.45am to 10pm). PARKING + entry: same Sentosa Gateway access.TICKETS: Klook ~10-15% off; bundle with USS or Singapore Oceanarium for biggest savings.PRICING: adult S$34, child S$29, both down from the S$38 / S$30 the park charged earlier in 2026.WORTH KNOWING: the ticket is valid for 7 DAYS from the date you select, not just that one day, so a washed-out afternoon isn't a lost ticket, almost no guide mentions this.NOW ON, AND BOTH ARE FREE WITH A STANDARD TICKET: the park's own ticket page states that from 1 September to 1 November 2026 standard admission includes LEGEND KEEPERS, a family treasure hunt aimed at young explorers, and that on selected Saturdays it also includes POOL PARTY PANIC, an after-dark immersive murder mystery. The Pool Party Panic dates are 5, 12 and 19 September and 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October 2026. That makes a S$34 October Saturday ticket the cheapest Halloween-season evening event on the island by a wide margin, and it is the detail nobody else is printing. Sanrio's Hapidanbui Summer Adventure ended on 30 August 2026 and has left the listing. The other standing extras are Twilight Saturdays, a late-afternoon session with live music, and an Adventure Express queue-skip wristband at S$30 (2 uses of Rainbow Reef, 2 of Dueling Racer, 1 of Riptide Rocket).CHEAPER THAN THE GATE: two bundles undercut the S$34 walk-up. Marine Discovery pairs Adventure Cove with the Singapore Oceanarium at S$81 adult and S$66 child or senior, against S$89 and S$72 bought apart. And inside the Harry Potter: Visions of Magic bundle the waterpark itself prices at S$28 adult and S$23 child, the lowest Adventure Cove rate anywhere on the RWS store. IMPORTANT: this is the SAME attraction as the old S.E.A. Aquarium, not a second one. S.E.A. Aquarium closed on 30 April 2025 and reopened on 24 July 2025 as the Singapore Oceanarium, rebuilt at roughly three times the size. If you're comparing the two on a booking site, you're looking at one venue under an old name and a new name.WHAT'S THERE: 22 zones covering more than 100,000 marine animals, arranged as a narrative journey through six chapters, In the Beginning (the evolutionary history of fish), At the Surface (Singapore's own coastal marine life), Sunlight (shallow seas with sharks and manta rays), Into the Deep, The Abyss, and A New Horizon (ocean conservation and climate). There's also a research-and-conservation wing visible to visitors. Time-entry tickets are required during peak periods, so book a slot rather than turning up.THE RESIDENTS' DEAL IS GONE: the SG Residents Buy 2 Get 1 Free (three one-day tickets from S$110) was published to run to 30 September 2026 but had already left the booking panel by 18 September, and it has not come back.WHAT IS ACTUALLY ON SALE: EVENING ENTRY (it used to be sold as Twilight Waves), entry from 4pm at the same S$55, bundled with a S$5 retail voucher and a S$5 meal voucher, neither with a minimum spend. The free Pierre Hermé macaron tin with two tickets was a September promotion (purchases closed 30 September), so ignore that card even though it is still listed. INTO THE GLOWCEAN, the after-dark run of glowing habitats, marine encounters and workshops, is on from 5 September to 1 November 2026 and included with admission.ONE THING TO CHECK BEFORE YOU GO: the Oceanarium's own zone page states that Life in the Deep, inside The Abyss, is closed for maintenance, so one of the six chapters is not currently complete. The MegaZip is a 450-metre zipline that takes you 75m up at 60 km/h, ending on a small island just off Siloso Beach.PRICING: MegaZip S$59 per person; MegaZip Tandem S$79 (a parent-and-child pairing, combined weight limit 140kg); MegaBounce trampolining S$18.BEST VALUE: the MegaClimb + MegaJump + MegaZip combo is S$79, only S$20 more than the zipline alone, so if you're staying more than an hour it's the obvious pick over single tickets. Take the Skyride chairlift UP the hill (panoramic views over Sentosa + Resort World), then luge DOWN one of 4 tracks (Dragon Trail, Jungle Trail, Kupu Kupu Trail, Expedition Trail) on a steerable cart. KIDS: riders from 110cm can steer their own sled; children aged 2-6 AND under 110cm ride in tandem with an adult but need a Child Doubling ticket of their own at S$15, it is NOT a free lap ride, regardless of how many runs you buy, and that catches families out at the counter.BEST FOR: families with kids 6-14, low-key adventure dates, groups wanting shared activity. SILOSO BEACH (western, most developed): the party + activity beach, Coastes, Ola Beach Club and Rumours Beach Club (40 Siloso Beach Walk, the only beach club in Singapore with three pools) line the back; the Mega Adventure zipline ends here; volleyball nets + beach sports; busiest weekend afternoons. Best for: groups + young adults + activity. PALAWAN BEACH (central, family): the family beach, the suspension bridge out to the small offshore islet marked 'Southernmost Point of Continental Asia' (open daily 9am-6.30pm, free, and the island's most-photographed spot); shaded picnic areas; calm shallow water good for kids.HEADS UP: the free Palawan Pirate Ship water playground that older guides still recommend has been gone since 15 April 2019, the precinct was redeveloped as The Palawan @ Sentosa, and the water play there now is HydroDash, a paid floating aqua park (about S$30 for a 1-hour session, minimum age 6 and height 1.1m), alongside UltraGolf mini golf, the HyperDrive indoor go-kart circuit and the Splash Tribe beach club. Sentosa is ~12 km² of greenery, 60%+ is undeveloped jungle + coastline. 3 FREE walking trails for nature-curious visitors: (1) IMBIAH NATURE WALK, 2.4km loop through tropical secondary forest with markers identifying native flora (rain trees, frangipani, hibiscus, Singapore's national flower Vanda Miss Joaquim). 45-60 min easy stroll. (2) COASTAL TRAIL, 5.3km path along Sentosa's southern coast from Siloso to Tanjong; mostly flat, partially shaded, ocean views throughout, passes the Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony amphitheatre + all 3 beaches. 90-120 min walking. Note: the 37m Sentosa Merlion that used to anchor this walk was demolished in 2019, guides that still list it are out of date. What stands in its place is the Sentosa Sensoryscape (see below), which is also free. (3) MOUNT IMBIAH SUMMIT TRAIL, Sentosa's highest point (60m), 30-min uphill hike via marked path from Imbiah Lookout. Summit has 360° viewpoint over Sentosa + sea.BEST FOR: budget-conscious visitors, nature lovers, families wanting low-cost activity, solo travelers.EQUIPMENT: comfortable walking shoes (not flip-flops; the trails have roots + uneven sections), water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent (mosquitoes in lower-canopy sections). FREE: no entry fee for any trail, and there is no separate Sentosa island admission on top, the only cost is however you choose to get onto the island, which is S$0 if you walk the Sentosa Boardwalk. BONUS FREEBIE while you're in this mood: Fort Siloso and the 181m, 11-storey Fort Siloso Skywalk are both free to enter too, no booking needed.

Every figure above was re-read on 2 October 2026 from the operator's own booking store: sentosa.com.sg and rwsentosa.com for the Resorts World attractions, the Singapore Oceanarium's own ticketing page, mountfaberleisure.com for SkyHelix and Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony, sentosa.skylineluge.com for the Luge and altitudex.com for the wind tunnel. Where a price had moved since our last check, the old figure is named in the entry so you can see the direction of travel. Mega Adventure's site was returning a database error at our August check and is back up, so the MegaZip numbers (S$59 solo, S$79 for the three-activity combo, S$79 tandem, S$18 MegaBounce) are now read from the operator's own page rather than carried over.

The cable car point most guides miss: there are two separate lines, and they are priced nothing like each other. The Mount Faber Line is the famous one that carries you in from the mainland, a S$33 adult round trip at the counter or S$31 online. The Sentosa Line runs entirely on the island, between Sensoryscape, Imbiah Lookout and Siloso Point, and its round trip has just been cut again: a Singapore resident of any age now pays a flat S$2, down from S$4 adult and S$3 child, against S$17 and S$12 at the standard visitor rate. The deal runs to 31 December 2026 but comes with two conditions almost nobody prints: it is weekdays only, excluding public holidays, and it is sold at the counter only, at the Singapore Cable Car ticketing counters or Sentosa Guest Services, not online.
Check the operator notices before you plan a cable car or SkyHelix day. Both cable car lines closed for annual servicing in September 2026 (Mount Faber Line 2 to 9 September, Sentosa Line 11 to 18 September) and both are running again. Those closures were only flagged in a notice on Sentosa's Fun Discovery Pass page, not on the ticket pages, and the next one is next door: SkyHelix opens at 12pm instead of 10am on 6 October 2026.
Once you're on the island, the Sentosa Express, Sentosa Buses and Beach Trams are all free to ride.
Family of 4 optimum: Sentosa Express (~S$16 in, free out) drops directly at the right station + saves walking in the heat.
Yes, Sentosa free entry is real: there is no island admission fee, and if you walk in over the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity you get onto the island for nothing. Once you're there, these attractions on Sentosa island cost S$0:

A genuinely free full day is possible: Boardwalk in → beach morning → picnic → Fort Siloso Skywalk → Sensoryscape at dusk → Express out (free). Total spend: whatever you packed.
One correction worth knowing: two things older "free Sentosa" lists still send you to are gone. The Palawan Pirate Ship water playground closed in April 2019, and the Sentosa Merlion was demolished in 2019.

Mid-tier day (~S$300-390 for family of 4): Sentosa Express in → Singapore Oceanarium 10am-12pm → RWS food court lunch → Adventure Cove 1.30-5pm → optional Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony.
Full splurge (~S$620-820 for family of 4): Universal Studios Singapore full day + Express Pass upgrades + lunch + snacks + souvenirs, and if the dates are flexible, move it from December into November and take S$26 off the two adult tickets.

The summer run is over: POP MART's CRYBABY at the Singapore Oceanarium and Sanrio's Hapidanbui Summer Adventure at Adventure Cove both closed on 30 Aug 2026, and Beerfest Asia finished on 13 September. What is actually running now:
Already over: Magical Island Adventure, the Disney merchandise booth and the Adventure Stamp Card all ended on 20 September 2026, and the September cable car maintenance is finished. One short change ahead: SkyHelix opens at 12pm instead of 10am on 6 October 2026, then runs to 9.30pm as usual.
Stay if: kids 5-12 + multi-day pacing; romantic isolation; casino + RWS dining adult weekend; wedding / event hosting.
Day-trip if: SG resident; single-attraction visit; budget-conscious; only 1 day available.

IN NOVEMBER, BECAUSE THE MONTH BANDS ARE BACK. Universal Studios Singapore prices its one-day ticket by calendar month: non-peak (March, April, September, November) at adult S$76, peak (January, February, May, June, October) at S$83 and super peak (July, August, December) at S$89, with child tickets S$69 in every band. In mid-September every date we opened briefly priced at the S$76 non-peak rate, and an earlier version of this guide said the bands had gone. On 2 October 2026 the park's own booking calendar on rwsentosa.com showed them again: S$83 on October dates including Halloween Saturday 31 October, S$76 on November dates, and S$89 on 12 December and Christmas Day. So for the rest of 2026 November is the cheap month, and two adults save S$26 by moving a December visit into it. Inside a month there is no extra charge for a weekend or a public holiday. WHAT ELSE MOVES THE PRICE: the ticket type. A 3-Park Pass (USS, the Oceanarium and Adventure Cove within 7 days) is S$131 adult on a November start, S$135 in October and S$141 in December, against S$165-S$178 bought separately. Evening Entry is S$85 from 4pm with a S$20 meal voucher, on selected dates. A six-month Season Pass is S$190. OTHER PRICES ON THIS LIST THAT MOVE: Skyline Luge bands by time of day, with its Smart Saver tier valid 10am to 12pm only. Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony is S$19.80 online for the 7.40pm show against the full S$22 (with a free durian ice cream) for the 8.40pm show, and its S$12 locals' offer ended on 30 September 2026. The Singapore Oceanarium is a flat S$55 adult and S$43 child on every date.
FIRST, THE THING MOST GUIDES GET WRONG: there is no separate Sentosa island admission fee any more. What people call 'the Sentosa entry fee' is simply whatever your chosen mode of arrival costs. FOUR WAYS IN: (1) SENTOSA BOARDWALK, a FREE 10-15 min walk from VivoCity (start at HarbourFront MRT and follow the signs); fully sheltered with travelators; ends at Resorts World Sentosa. This is the cheapest entry, full stop. (2) SENTOSA EXPRESS, the monorail from VivoCity Level 3, a flat S$4 one-way per person (concession fares around S$2), dropping you at Waterfront, Imbiah or Beach Station. The return trip back to VivoCity is free, and once you're on the island the Sentosa Express, the Sentosa Buses and the Beach Trams are all free to ride. (3) CABLE CAR, and this is where most guides quote only half the story, because Sentosa has TWO cable car lines at completely different prices. The MOUNT FABER LINE is the famous one that carries you in from the mainland via HarbourFront Station, a round trip at S$33 adult and S$22 child at the counter or S$31 and S$20.70 booked online, 15 min one-way with mid-air ocean views. The SENTOSA LINE runs entirely on the island, between Sensoryscape, Imbiah Lookout and Siloso Point, and a round trip on it costs a Singapore resident a flat S$2 at any age on weekdays until 31 December 2026 (counter purchase only, public holidays excluded), against S$17 and S$12 at the standard visitor rate. So if you're local and you want the cable-car experience, the island line gives you it for the price of a coffee. A SkyOrb glass-floor cabin round trip is S$48 adult / S$37 child and includes a S$10 voucher. (4) DRIVE: in via Sentosa Gateway; S$2-7 depending on day and time, plus parking inside Sentosa at S$8-16/day. CHEAPEST: Boardwalk on foot = S$0 to get in (you still pay for attractions). FAMILY OF 4: the Express at S$4 × 4 = S$16 in, free out, and it saves the walk in the heat. CARS: only worth it if you're heading deep into Sentosa Cove or have hotel luggage; for day trips the Express is more efficient.
BUDGET DAY (~S$110-130 total for family of 4): SENTOSA BOARDWALK walk-in (FREE) → PALAWAN BEACH morning play + the suspension bridge to the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia (FREE) → packed picnic lunch on the beach (~$30 bringing your own food) → MOUNT IMBIAH SUMMIT short hike, the SENSORYSCAPE walkway or FORT SILOSO SKYWALK (all FREE) → WINGS OF TIME 7.40pm show ($22 × 4 = $88 at the gate, about $79 booked online). Total: ~$110-130. The 8.40pm show now sells at the full $22 with a free durian ice cream, so the 7.40pm slot is the cheaper one. NOTE for parents planning around older guides: the free Palawan Pirate Ship water playground closed in April 2019. The water play at Palawan now is HydroDash, which is paid (about $30 per person per hour, age 6+), budget for it separately or stick to the free beach. MID-TIER DAY (~S$300-390 family of 4): SENTOSA EXPRESS in ($16, free coming back) → SINGAPORE OCEANARIUM 10am-12pm (2 adults + 2 kids at the current flat rate = $196; the SG Residents Buy 2 Get 1 Free that used to bring that to about $153 was off the booking panel on 18 September 2026, so budget the full $196) → lunch at an RWS food court ($60-80) → ADVENTURE COVE WATERPARK 1.30-5pm ($126 at the new $34/$29 rates, down from $136) → ice cream on the way out ($20). Add Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony at 7.40pm for another ~$79 if the kids can last. FULL SPLURGE (~S$620-820 family of 4): SENTOSA EXPRESS ($16) → UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE full day, and the total swings by month rather than by weekday: $290 in November ($76 × 2 + $69 × 2), $304 in October, $316 in December + Universal Express upgrades + lunch, 2 snacks and souvenirs ($150-200). Note: USS on its own is a full day; trying to combine it with another paid attraction on the same day rarely works.
They are the same place. S.E.A. Aquarium shut its doors on 30 April 2025 and reopened on 24 July 2025 as the Singapore Oceanarium, rebuilt at roughly three times its former size. So if you're looking at a listing for 'S.E.A. Aquarium tickets', you are looking at the Singapore Oceanarium under its old name, you do not need to visit both, and any guide that lists them as two separate attractions is out of date. WHAT CHANGED: the new venue has 22 zones and more than 100,000 marine animals, laid out as a narrative journey through six chapters, from the evolutionary history of fish through Singapore's own coastal waters, the shallow sunlit seas with sharks and manta rays, the deep seafloor, the abyss, and finally a section on ocean conservation and climate. There's also a research and conservation wing that visitors can see into. WHAT IT COSTS NOW (re-checked 2 October 2026): the peak and non-peak split has been dropped. The one-day ticket is a flat adult S$55, child (4-12) and senior (60+) S$43, each with a complimentary S$5 F&B or retail voucher. Under-4s go free. The old S$42 / S$35 Singapore-resident rates are gone, and so is the SG Residents Buy 2 Get 1 Free that replaced them: the S$110-for-three offer was published to 30 September 2026, but on 18 September it was off the Oceanarium's Featured Offers row and off its booking panel, and it has not come back. There is no residents' rate to count on right now. Peak periods need a timed-entry ticket, so book a slot rather than turning up and queuing. It was open 10am to 8pm on the October dates we checked; hours vary by date. ONE MORE THING: the old S.E.A. Aquarium ticket prices you'll still find floating around on blogs (around S$45 adult) no longer apply, budget for the new rates.
WEEKDAY VS WEEKEND: weekday off-peak (Mon-Thu) reduces all queues by 50-80%. Universal Studios queues drop from 60-90 min per major ride (Sat) to 10-25 min (Tue-Thu). Beach restaurants like Tanjong Beach Club are walk-in friendly weekday vs 90-min waits weekend. WEEKEND VISITS: arrive at park opening (10am) for first-2-hour queue-light window; expect queues to peak 1-4pm; second wind 4-6pm as families leave. SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: EVERY day is weekend-tier crowded. The next one to plan around is the year-end break, 21 November to 31 December 2026. Pivot to less-crowded attractions (beaches, free trails, walking) if you're going in one of them. THE COUNTERINTUITIVE BIT IS PRICE: Universal Studios bands its adult ticket by calendar month, not by weekday. Checked on 2 October 2026, October dates are S$83, November S$76 and December S$89, so the start of the year-end school holidays in late November is both crowded and the cheapest month left this year, while a quiet December weekday still costs S$89. A November weekday morning gets you the low price and the short queues. TIME OF DAY: 10am-12pm = lighter crowds, BEST for USS + Singapore Oceanarium. 12-3pm = peak heat + peak crowd. 3-6pm = good for outdoor activities (beaches, Skyline Luge) as heat fades. 6pm onwards = evening shows + beach restaurants. WEATHER: SG rainy season Oct-Jan and shorter wet spells throughout the year, outdoor attractions (Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony, MegaZip, beaches) may close. INDOOR backups: Singapore Oceanarium, AltitudeX, USS (most rides indoor). Check weather radar before traveling. NIGHT VS DAY: USS + Aquarium are indoor-cool; beaches + outdoor attractions get HOT 12-3pm, 30°C + humidity. Schedule beach time before 11am or after 4pm.
DEPENDS on your goal. STAY MAKES SENSE IF: (a) you have kids 5-12 + want a low-stress 'don't have to leave' setup with hotel pool + island activities back-to-back (good for: 2-day USS + Aquarium + beach pacing). (b) Romantic stay where the island isolation IS the value (Capella Singapore, Sofitel Sentosa). (c) Casino + dining at MBS Resort World Sentosa as a self-contained adult weekend. (d) Wedding / event hosting where guests stay on-island. HOTELS WORTH KNOWING: CAPELLA SINGAPORE (ultra-luxury, S$800-2500/night), SOFITEL SINGAPORE SENTOSA RESORT (luxury family, S$450-900), SHANGRI-LA RASA SENTOSA (family resort, S$350-650), RESORT WORLD SENTOSA hotels (Hard Rock, Festive, Equarius, S$300-700, family-friendly with theme park proximity), VILLAGE HOTEL AT SENTOSA (mid-tier, S$220-380). DAY-TRIP MAKES SENSE IF: (a) SG residents, you can return easily, no FOMO. (b) single-attraction visitor (just USS or just beaches). (c) budget-conscious traveler. (d) only 1 day available in your trip itinerary. AIRBNB ALTERNATIVE: Sentosa Cove has private villa rentals but minimums apply (typically 2-3 night stays). DAY-TRIPPERS: Sentosa Express closes ~11pm last train; plan to leave the island before then unless staying.
BEST SINGLE ATTRACTION FOR A WHOLE DAY: Universal Studios Singapore, without much competition. It is the only Sentosa attraction that genuinely fills 8+ hours, 7 themed zones, roughly 20 rides, 2-3 live shows and enough food outlets that you never need to leave. Adult S$83 in October, S$76 in November and S$89 in December, child S$69 in every month, read off the park's own booking calendar on 2 October 2026; under-4s free. Do not try to pair it with another paid attraction on the same day; people who try it end up rushing both. Check heights before you go, Transformers needs 122cm, Battlestar Galactica 125cm, Jurassic Park Rapids 110cm, because a 105cm six-year-old will be turned away from most of the headline rides and USS becomes poor value. IF YOUR KIDS ARE UNDER 6: the Singapore Oceanarium is the better whole-day anchor. It's indoor and air-conditioned, has no height restrictions at all, takes 2-3 hours at a toddler's pace, and pairs well with a beach afternoon. Adult S$55, child S$43. The SG Residents Buy 2 Get 1 Free that used to bring three tickets to S$110 was off the Oceanarium's booking panel when we checked on 18 September 2026, so budget the full rate. MOST FUN PER DOLLAR FOR FAMILIES: (1) The three beaches, free, and Palawan's shallow water suits small kids. (2) Skyline Luge, kids steer their own sled from 110cm; below that, a 2-6 year old rides in tandem with an adult but needs their own S$15 Child Doubling ticket, so budget for it rather than assuming a free lap ride. The hand-brakes make it far less scary than it looks. (3) Fort Siloso Skywalk, free, 11 storeys up through the treetops, and the WW2 fort at the end holds most primary-schoolers' attention. (4) Sentosa Sensoryscape at dusk, free, and the ImagiNite light show is a genuine crowd-pleaser. (5) Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony, S$22, a 20-minute show is about the right length for a tired 5-year-old. ONE THING TO SKIP THE MYTH ON: the free Palawan Pirate Ship water playground that family blogs still recommend shut in April 2019. Water play at Palawan today means HydroDash, which is paid (about S$30 per person for an hour) and has a minimum age of 6 and a 1.1m height floor, so it excludes exactly the age group that the old pirate ship served.
NO, IT IS A SEPARATE TICKET, and that is the mistake to avoid. Halloween Horror Nights 14 runs on 18 select nights from 25 September to 1 November 2026, 7.30pm to 12.30am, and a normal Universal Studios day pass does not admit you. PRICES: from S$68 on non-peak nights and S$78 on peak nights, or S$63 and S$73 if you pay with a Mastercard. The super early bird and early bird tiers at S$58 and S$68 sold in limited quantity between 23 July and 13 August 2026 and are finished, so anyone still quoting S$58 is quoting a dead price. WHICH NIGHTS ARE WHICH: the non-peak nights include 25 and 26 September and 1 to 3, 8 to 9 and 15 to 16 October; peak covers 10, 17, 22 to 24 and 29 to 31 October plus 1 November, which is to say the closer you get to Halloween itself the more you pay. WHAT YOU GET: four haunted houses, two scare zones and three live shows, built this year around the Karang Guni man, a rag-and-bone figure from Singapore's own housing estates whose cursed collection has been let loose in the park. AGE: Resorts World does not recommend it for children under 13, and it is not a soft-scare event. PLANNING NOTE: if you are bringing young children to USS in October, check the event calendar before you book. A separately ticketed night event means the day park operates on its own schedule around it.
