POPULAR is running Tech-Tastic Deals from 4 to 13 September 2026, up to 70% off gadgets and IT, and the useful detail is not the percentage. It is that this runs at eight named stores and nowhere else, and that the in-store price is lower than POPULAR's own website on every item we could check.
> Quick view: 4 to 13 Sep 2026. Eight stores only: Bras Basah Complex, Causeway Point, NEX, Northpoint City, Tampines Mall, Toa Payoh HDB Hub, Waterway Point, Westgate. In-store only, not on popular.com.sg. Not stackable with the POPULAR Card 10%. Two items out of 32 actually reach 70% off.
The eight stores, and only the eight
Deal listings are carrying this as a "POPULAR Singapore" sale. POPULAR's own e-flyer prints the participating list on the cover, and it is eight shops:
Bras Basah Complex · Causeway Point · NEX · Northpoint City · Tampines Mall · Toa Payoh HDB Hub · Waterway Point · Westgate
The flyer's fine print says the promotion is valid "at selected POPULAR Bookstores". There is no online arm to it, which matters more than it sounds, because of the next section.
The in-store price beats POPULAR's own website
We looked up three of the flyer items on popular.com.sg on 5 September to see whether a trip is worth it. It is, on all three:
| Item | Tech-Tastic, in store | On popular.com.sg | You save by going |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sony WH-CH520 wireless headphone | $49 | $69.00, and listed out of stock | $20, plus it is buyable |
| Havit SK816 Bluetooth speaker | $39.90 | $49.90 | $10 |
| SanDisk E10 1TB portable SSD | $169.90 | $179.00 | $9.10 |
The Sony is the clearest case. Online it is $69 and currently unavailable; in these eight stores it is $49.
"Up to 70% off" is two items
The flyer lists 34 priced lines. Thirty-two of them print a usual price you can check the discount against. Of those 32, exactly two reach 70%:
- Havit SK816 Bluetooth wireless speaker, $39.90 from $139.90. That is 71% off, the only headline-rate item on the main list.
- Targus Smart Surge 4 with 2 USB ports, $19.90 from $71. That is 72%, but it is a purchase-with-purchase, so it needs a $50 nett spend on Gadgets and IT first.
The big-ticket lines are nowhere near it. The two Lenovo laptops are 11% off, the Oppo A6 Pro 5G is 7.5% off, and the Nintendo Switch 2 plus Pokemon Pokopia bundle is $739 from $789, which is 6% off. "Up to" is doing its usual work.
Ten of the 32 are 50% off or better, which is the honest version of the headline. The deepest cuts in dollars are the SanDisk E10 1TB SSD at $169.90 from $360 ($190 off) and the Lenovo Idea Tab at $229 from $399 ($170 off, before its bundled gifts).
The fine print that costs members money
This line sits at the bottom of the flyer's cover and it is the one to read twice:
> "Not valid with any other discount (POPULAR Card/e-Card, voucher and/or promotion)."
POPULAR members normally get 10% off storewide. On Tech-Tastic items they do not. The sale price is the price, and your card does not go on top of it.
There is one exception printed on the flyer, and it runs the other way: Xiaomi products (except mobile and tablet) get an additional 10% off.
The other fine-print line worth knowing: where an item's free gift is "shopping vouchers", the flyer says the voucher "will be used to offset purchases instantly, no physical voucher will be issued". So the Epson L3350's $30 of shopping vouchers comes off that same transaction. You cannot pocket it and come back next week.

What to know before you go
- Nine days, ending Sunday 13 September. Weekend two is the last of it.
- The flyer is not the whole sale. It closes with "More products available in stores", so the shelf will have lines the e-flyer does not.
- Limited sets are flagged as such on the Honor X9D and the Switch 2 bundle, and the whole promotion is "while stocks last". The deepest cuts on a nine-day sale rarely survive to day nine.
- Check the store list before you travel. Four of the eight are in the north and north-east (Causeway Point, NEX, Northpoint City, Waterway Point), one is in the east (Tampines Mall), one central (Toa Payoh HDB Hub), one west (Westgate) and one in town (Bras Basah Complex).
