Why $10 for 500g stands out
Peng Guan posted the extension on its official Facebook page, saying the promotion is valid at all branches island-wide. Its own online shop prints the 500g Traditional pack at $10 against an original $15, so the stall price is a real one-third cut, not a rounded-up "promo" price.
For context, $10 per 500g is $20 a kilo. Kim Tee's final 50th anniversary bundle this month is 1kg of Signature Bak Kwa for $50, already discounted from $62. Peng Guan's deal is less than half that per kilo. The trade-off is that this is a hawker-stall brand rather than a heritage gift box, so it suits snacking and sharing more than formal gifting.
Peng Guan says its bak kwa is handmade from fresh minced pork, marinated in a house recipe and grilled over charcoal, and online orders are made fresh to order.

Several stalls double as pau, pastry, ban mian or satay stalls, so look for the Peng Guan signboard rather than a dedicated bak kwa shop. The main office and central kitchen at JTC Food Hub @ Senoko is not open for collection.
The fine print
- Traditional flavour only. Peng Guan's post names Peng Guan Traditional Bak Kwa. Chilli, sliced and chicken bak kwa are not part of the deal.
- Online orders. The 500g normal-packaging pack is $10 on the website. The 1kg Traditional pack also shows a cut price ($20, usual $30) but was out of stock when we checked on 21 October. Delivery is charged at checkout unless you pick up.
- No limit is printed, but stalls make their bak kwa in batches, so popular branches can sell out late in the day.
- Stall hours differ. Rochor closes at 6pm; Bukit Panjang runs to 10pm.
Tips
- Go earlier in the day for the freshest batch, especially at the weekend.
- Freeze what you will not finish. Wrap 500g into smaller portions and reheat in an air fryer or oven for a few minutes.
- Stock up for Chinese New Year now? Bak kwa keeps for a few weeks in the fridge and longer frozen, but CNY 2027 falls in February, so this deal is best for snacking now rather than hoarding.
