The Samurai Burger is one of the few McDonald's Singapore limited-time runs people actually diarise, and it is back: from 20 August 2026, 11am, the Samurai Beef Burger® and Samurai Chicken Burger® return — this time with four new side-kicks.
> Quick view: Samurai menu from 20 Aug, 11am, at all restaurants, Drive-Thrus, McDelivery®, GrabFood and foodpanda, limited time while stocks last. Samurai Special Meal $10.15 single / $12.95 double, Tamago versions $11.45. New: Katsu Chicken Tenders, Kyoho Grape Soft Serve, Strawberry Daifuku Pie. And a FREE Samurai IKE! pop-up at Bugis Junction, 18–30 Aug, 12pm–9pm — which opens two days before the burgers do.

The prices
These are the figures carried on McDonald's own campaign material:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Samurai Beef / Chicken Special Meal (single) | $10.15 |
| Samurai Beef / Chicken Special Meal (double) | $12.95 |
| Tamago Samurai Beef / Chicken Special Meal | $11.45 |
| Katsu Chicken Tenders (3pc / 5pc) | $5.50 / $8.50 |
| Seaweed McShaker™ Fries (meal upgrade) | +$1.25 |
| Kyoho Grape Soft Serve | from $1.50 |
| Strawberry Daifuku Pie | from $1.80 |
The Special Meal is the burger with Large Seaweed McShaker™ Fries and a Medium Fuze Green Tea — note it is the large fries and the seaweed seasoning built in, not a standard meal, which is where the price sits.
Two things to keep in mind. Delivery channels price above in-store: the same items on GrabFood and foodpanda carry platform mark-ups plus delivery, so the $10.15 is a walk-in or Drive-Thru number. And 11am is a hard gate — McDonald's breakfast menu runs until then, so an early launch-day visit gets you a Sausage McMuffin, not a Samurai.
The free pop-up almost everyone will miss the timing on
McDonald's is running Samurai IKE!, a Japanese game-show-style pop-up, at McDonald's Bugis Junction, in the open area:
| Detail | What to know |
|---|---|
| Dates | 18 – 30 August 2026 |
| Hours | 12pm – 9pm daily |
| Where | McDonald's Bugis Junction, open area |
| Admission | FREE |
| Games | Hole In The Wall, Fries And Furious, Kyoho Grape Drop |
| Prizes | Goodies to be won |
Here is the scheduling quirk worth planning around: the pop-up opens on 18 August, but the burgers only land on 20 August. Turn up on the 18th or 19th and you can play the games — but you cannot order a Samurai Burger yet. If you want both in one trip, go from the 20th onwards.
The other practical note: 13 days at Bugis Junction means the two weekends inside the run (22–24 Aug and 29–30 Aug) will be the busiest by a distance. A weekday afternoon is the short queue.
Is it worth it?
The Samurai Burger's pull has always been the teriyaki-style sauce and the seaweed fries rather than novelty, and this year the genuinely interesting additions are the Katsu Chicken Tenders — McDonald's Singapore rarely runs a new fried-chicken side — and the Kyoho grape desserts, a flavour that shows up constantly in Japan and almost never here. At $10.15 the single Special Meal is priced like a premium McDonald's meal rather than a deal, so the value play is the à la carte sides: $1.50 for the Kyoho Grape Soft Serve and $1.80 for the Strawberry Daifuku Pie are dessert-kiosk money.
If you want the cheapest way in, the free Bugis Junction pop-up costs nothing at all.
The fine print
- Limited time only, while stocks last — McDonald's has not published an end date for the Samurai menu
- Available islandwide: restaurants, Drive-Thrus, McDelivery®, GrabFood and foodpanda
- Prices above are from the campaign artwork and exclude delivery mark-ups; they can change without notice
- The pop-up's goodies are while stocks last
