The fine print that matters
- *Gas rebate rule: rebates apply to new installations of gas water heaters and hobs, and to electric-to-gas conversions. Swapping an old gas heater or hob for a new one does not qualify.
- Plumbing is extra: the bundled installation covers the gas side; additional charges apply for water piping and plumbing services.
- The conversion plan is billed via the SP bill only, and includes up to a three-year warranty plus a Gas Safety Support plan worth $59.
- City Energy's flyer leans on a 17 Nov 2025 Straits Times report that NEA recommends instantaneous heaters over storage types for less standby heat loss; that is a real efficiency argument, but weigh it against your bathroom's rain-shower pressure needs.
