KFC Singapore is dropping its Curry Twister Value Meal to $5.50 from 7 to 13 September, against a usual price of $6.80. The set is the Curry Twister itself, a toasted tortilla wrap of egg, chicken and potato bound in curry sauce, served with a hash brown and a coffee.

> Quick view: $5.50, usually $6.80. Saving $1.30, about 19%. Runs 7 to 13 Sep 2026, breakfast hours only, at selected KFC outlets, while stocks last. KFC takes breakfast orders until 10.45am. For delivery, use GrabFood or foodpanda: KFC's own delivery does not start until 11am.

The deal, and the three lines under it

Everything above comes off KFC's own campaign artwork, which is unusually honest about its own limits. Set against the $5.50 in large type, the small print at the foot of the poster reads: *"Only available during KFC breakfast hours at selected KFCs. While stock lasts."*

That single sentence carries three separate restrictions, and most listings reprint the price without any of them.

RestrictionWhat it means in practice
Breakfast hours onlyKFC's help desk states breakfast orders are taken until 10.45am. Opening time varies by restaurant.
Selected KFCsKFC does not name them. Its locator lists 73 restaurants in Singapore, and breakfast is not served at all of them.
While stock lastsNo guarantee the Twister is still available late in the breakfast window, particularly at busy outlets.

The 10.45am cut-off is the one that will actually catch people. This is a promotion for people who are already out of the house on a weekday morning, not one you can decide on over a lie-in.

The delivery trap

The poster carries GrabFood and foodpanda logos, and there is a good reason it points you to those two rather than to KFC's own app.

KFC's own delivery service runs daily from 11am to 11pm, per its help desk. Breakfast ordering stops at 10.45am. The two windows do not overlap, so KFC delivery simply cannot bring you this meal. On top of that, KFC's own delivery carries a $14 minimum order and a $4.50 surcharge, which would erase a $1.30 saving three times over.

If you want it delivered, it is GrabFood or foodpanda. Bear in mind that both apps set their own menu prices, which usually sit above the counter price, so the $5.50 is a walk-in number first and a delivery number only if the app agrees.

Is $5.50 a real drop?

Partly. Against the same meal last week, yes: $1.30 is a genuine 19% off, and there is nothing to sign up for, no code and no app gate at the counter.

Against KFC's own menu, it is less dramatic. Reading the live prices on kfc.com.sg this weekend, KFC's standing $5 Real Deals section already sells three different sets at exactly $5.50 all day long:

  • $5.50 Cheesy Tenders Twister Meal
  • $5.50 Famous Bowl Meal
  • $5.50 Curry Macaroni Bowl Set

with the $5 BBQ Tenders Burger Meal sitting below them all. So $5.50 is not a special number at KFC; it is the house value price. What this week does is pull a breakfast set, priced $1.30 above that line, down onto it for seven days.

That is still worth having if the Curry Twister is what you want in the morning. It is not worth rearranging a morning for, and it is not a price you will struggle to match later in the day.

If you are out early on Monday anyway

The 7th is a busy morning for cheap breakfast in Singapore. Subway is running a 1-for-1 on its new Breakfast Wraps on Monday 7 September only, before 11am, which is a steeper cut than this one if there are two of you. Coffee Bean is putting a new Mini Croissants and Scrambled Eggs set on from 7 September at $8.50, or $12.50 for two, Monday to Friday until noon, though that is a menu launch rather than a discount.

If breakfast is genuinely what you are optimising, the KFC set is the cheapest of the three for one person, and the Subway 1-for-1 is the cheapest for two.
