> Quick view: $39 mud crab (avg 500g) · 5 styles incl. Award-Winning Chilli · JUMBO East Coast Seafood Centre outlet ONLY · daily till 31 Jul · dine-in only · while stocks last · price before service charge + GST (~$47 final) · not stackable.

The deal — "$39 for 39 years of trust"

This is a farewell offer. The East Coast flagship — where JUMBO Seafood began in 1987 — closes on 30 September 2026 when its lease ends, under the National Parks Board's rejuvenation of East Coast Park. To mark it, JUMBO's "Thank You For The 39 Years Of Trust" campaign puts a 500g mud crab on the menu at $39, your choice of style.

Your 5 style options

  • A · Award-Winning Chilli — the famous sweet-savoury-spicy tomato-and-egg gravy that made JUMBO's name. Order fried mantou on the side to mop it up.
  • B · Signature Black Pepper — dry-fried, peppery and aromatic.
  • C · Golden Salted Egg — stir-fried in a rich salted-egg-yolk coating.
  • D · Steamed with Chinese Wine & Egg White — the lighter, delicate option that lets the crab's natural sweetness through.
  • E · Kum Hiong — an aromatic dry stir-fry with dried shrimp, chilli and curry-leaf notes.

The fine print

  1. East Coast Seafood Centre outlet only — Block 1206 East Coast Parkway, #01-07/08. Not Riverside Point, Dempsey, Jewel or any other JUMBO outlet.
  2. Dine-in only, daily till 31 July 2026, while stocks last — mud crab can sell out at peak dinner service, so reserve ahead.
  3. The $39 is before the prevailing service charge and GST — budget around $47 per crab on the final bill.
  4. Not valid in conjunction with other discounts, promotions or vouchers. No app or voucher needed for this crab.

Worth it?

A full JUMBO chilli crab, even a smaller 500g one, rarely lands near this price — a mud crab a la carte usually runs well above it once you factor in market pricing. At $39 (about $47 all-in) for a whole crab in the Award-Winning Chilli style, this is close to the cheapest a proper JUMBO chilli crab has been — and it comes with the sentimental pull of eating it at the restaurant where the brand started, before it closes for good.
